We're told Friday night into Saturday, a large crowd of non-demonized yutes took over a number of locations downtown.
We're also told there is footage of them using a vehicle as a battering ram to push an occupied squad car backwards down the street?
Can anyone confirm?
And if confirmed, isn't the car being used as a weapon?
A potentially Deadly Weapon?
And Deadly Weapons are legally met with....

Sadly, I understand the passive reactions by the officers in the car. Tactically, they are in a difficult spot, open the doors and get injured by the vehicle and crowd, shoot thru the windshield, pop out your eardrums and the bullet may not be effective. Curious that this incident did not appear in any of the news media or reported by CPD. A check of the news media in the recent past indicates numerous reports of street take overs in Chicago and other cities. Maybe we will be reading about this in a foreign news source in a few days. If our eyes are not lying, this incident indicates local law enforcement cannot handle the chaos in the city. Mayor BLM Brandon should have taken up Trump when he wanted to send the National Guard into Chicago to assist as he did in Washington DC. Since BLM Brandon is the Mayor he should issue a statement statim.

When I first got on to tact a LONG time ago. Anytime this kind of activity would start to kick off near the McDs on State and Chicago. The Commander would order up every available tact team and wagons, including nearby Districts, and we would roll over there and everyone still remaining got locked up. Everyone else scattered and that was the end of it for the night and usually for months. Then, years later, the next Commander told everyone to stand down and “monitor” the group instead of everyone goes. He might not have realized it in the moment, but that was when the downward spiral began regarding these teen takeovers. What a shame Downtown Chicago has become and how far down it has slid.
COPA is responding by opening an investigation for late activation of Body Worn Cameras (BWC) and also disrespectful language captured during this Attempted Murder of Police Officers related incident captured on their in car camera. The officers did not have their seat safety belt restraint securely fastened and there was no evidence of verbal persuasion or de-escalation on the officer's part. And unconfirmed reports of weapon pointing incidents not immediately reported to OEMC by assisting officers. COPA will flip the script and make the good guys the bad guys with their ill conceived power. Wait and see.
This was a life and death criminally motivated actual Hate Crime against uniformed officers which requires an extraordinary response. All hands on deck for a complete and fair investigation leading to a prosecution. 3) Respectful treatment (no more disrespectful biased stop and frisks, no affiliation to criminal activity solely based and biased by perceived skin color, no tricky Targeted Repeat Offender Apprehension and Prosecution (TRAP) Program referrals, divesting gang identification/criminal databases)
4) Trustworthiness (believing the always deceiving liars, no computer name checks for warrants, no intrusive queries for judicial Electronic Monitoring (EM) violations, no parole status questioning keeping it on the down low).
This is a C.P.D. Violence Reduction Strategy (VRS) we can all live with in our biased-free, diverse, inclusive, and equitable city to correct past injustices for future, mostly peaceful, civil disobediences.

It happened. Car caravan unit, à Tact car from 009 and the Tact Lt from 009 put a stop on that vehicle on the 290 and Wolf rd. Brought the occupants and vehicle back to 001 for processing but the P.O’s in the squad car being rammed couldn’t identify who was the driver of the car. So they all got misdemeanors.

Hey SCC. Thought you should know, there have been numerous reports and documented RDs pulled regarding officers, on duty, in uniform having guns pointed at them.
Just the other night it happened in 003, POs had an offender in custody, car pulled up next to them and two offenders pointed guns at them and drove off.
Couple weeks ago, same instance happened but no one was in custody. POs pulled a car over, offender pointed a gun at a PO and drove off. Probably 3 cases of similar accounts in southside districts within a month.
This isn’t being spoken about and it seems it’s not being documented anywhere besides a case report and an overlooked AMC message. I don’t know if you want to classify this as officer safety, or maybe CWB can get wind of it since ya know, CPD has so many “excessive force complaints”. Having a gun pointed at you and you respond with nothing seems a bit odd. Stay frosty kids.
