Meeks' story falling apart
Meeks' driver admits the rev ordered him around a squad car that was paused at the stop sign and "said it appeared that the sergeant had stopped to check a street address." So if the sergeant suddenly got out of his car, he would have been run over by the rev because the rev is an important politician who had things to do, places to go, people to see and couldn't wait for sarge to move out of the way? It was pointed out to us that there actually WAS racial profiling going on in this instance. But it was by Meeks, not by the sergeant. Meeks expected that since he is a quasi famous, semi recognizable BLACK state senator/preacher that a WHITE police sergeant was going to let him off with a warning. And maybe that would have happened if Meeks had staying in the car and just mentioned to the sergeant that he was off to some political or god-squad emergency. Hell, the sergeant might have given him a quick escort there. But we'll never know. And now it's a tempest in a tea pot and no one is going to win.

for someone who sure had a lot to say about some b.s. racial profiling beef, where is he when it comes to defending his driver? or for that matter, coming out against the associate arrested for drug possession? I love politicians that only talk about what benefits them!!!
Speaking of that, hopefully daley hasn't gotten lost in all the nonsense being spread about the police. Did it seem coincidental to anyone else that four coppers get pinched when another daley crony hits the front page. What about a couple of weeks ago, when some political hack plead guilty and all of a sudden it's "Chicago trying for 2016 Olympics". Gimme a damn break already.

His tender sensibilites. Also, admittedly, meeks says that he was told twice, with the quote being "you don't have to tell me three times". How about you do what the police say the first time. Read the ILCS if you don't believe me, but what do I know, I'm not a state senator.
Let's find out whose car the convicted traffic violator was driving and why there was no insurance for the vehicle. That would be some true reporting by those super sleuths.
What would have happened if the convicted traffic violator, in going around the Sgt's car had struck some poor family and killed them? Would Sen. meeks have then sued the Sgt for making him order the driver to pass unlawfully?
What about the bill when the driver stands up in court and says Illinois State Sen. meeks ordered me to drive around. Imagine the size of the judgment that the state of IL would have to pay.
As the world turns, his next move is to say he wants to make peace with the white police, because he gets free security and traffic control on Sundays...
He will come out with a forgiveness statement.

Congressman Davis also admits getting out of his car on a traffic stop where he was yelled at by some female officer. I seem to remember a case where that same sort of thing happened down south here and the advancing motorist was indeed shot by the officer.

Did any body see the article on the front fage of the Suntimes today about batteries against police officers increasing while complaints against police degrease? I think it is interesting given the surrent discussion of the Sgt's. actions in the Meeks case.
Of course that puss and Daley relative Bayles say the increase in batteries to P.O.'s is becasue of the TRR system. We all know is that the TRR just reposrts alot of stuff that went unreported back in the day. We also know that the districts are woefully undermaned and that one man cars are answering 2 man car jobs and that a times there is little or no back up. Of course Frank Main and Baypuss have to put spin on it to make things seem less dangerous than really are. This article realyy pissed me off.
That story pissed me off too. It seemed that they were inferring batteries to P.O. were increasing because coppers put a case on people to cover the TRR. The fact is batteries have increased because no one puts their hands on people anymore. The usual suspects are not bothered by a night in jail. The thumpin' was what kept them in line when desling with the police.
Thank God this happened in 016. If it happened in 011 the entire TRU and SOS would be flooded in there. Maybe a few of the tact teams can come back to police my overly-taxed neighborhood.

Woman injured in robbery attempt
August 24, 2005 — A woman was hurt during an attempted robbery in her garage on the city's northwest side.
It happened outside a condominium complex on West Higgins near Foster. While paramedics treated the 62-year-old victim, police searched the surrounding neighborhood for the suspect.
The victim had just pulled into her garage when the suspect tried to grab her purse. He fired one shot when she struggled. The bullet shattered the car window.
"It is very shocking scary. Yeah I mean, I never ever heard of anything like this happen around here. I lived here my whole life," said Carolyn McKay, neighbor.
"Robberies in this area are very rare and we're going to conduct a thorough investigation to find out more about what happened to tonight," said Cpt. Michelle Anderson, Chicago Police Dept.
The gunman ran away after the shooting. The victim, who suffered minor injuries when she struggled with her attacker, was treated and released from an area hospital.
I'm sure the good captain is at the front of the investigation.

Even if u discount all the history before TRR's, if u look at the Departments annual report (which u can see on line at the departments website) or that report that R & D puts pou once a month, batteries have gone up consistently since the TRR was instituted. Does the Superintendent or FOP even know this? Do they ever ask why? Cline is too busy making his memorial, I mean the officers memorial. What about the coppers out their now. Of all those offciers not injured, how many were spit on by someone with aids, TB or Hepititus? How many stayed on duty only to feel it the next day when they got up, and just went to work and and didn't hit the medical?
And the bill to make people sign the avidavit was passed by a democratic Illinois Congres. Even Barak Obama voted for it. they all knew that a lot of CR's were obtained in reyaliation against officers for writting a ticket or locking up their loved one. Gang bangers know to make brutality beefs on coppers to get them in the B.S. behavioral alert program. The reduction in complaints shows how many C.R.'s were lies in the past.
The reporting of batteries on PO's has gone up because..long ago in a galaxie far away..if you opened your mouth to a police officer you were corrected and you understood who was in charge...if you fought with the police you got your ass kicked...it was instinctive how you handled people...you didn't let them take control of the situation...you didn't argue with them nor did you give them time to think about their next move...now we've got police who stand there like idiots until someone decides to test them...before if you got a couple scratches, a lump....the bad guy was done worse and that was that...no reporting...now eevrything is reported...and maybe thats a good thing...cover your ass.
