Recruits began Monday
100 recruits embarked on a journey yesterday morning. Hopefully, by the time they hit the streets, they won't be so indoctrinated that we can't beat it out of them so they can become bitter, cranky human beings like coppers we know the world over. Hahahahaha.
Seriously, it's good that they're supposedly going to push through a couple classes of 100 before the end to the year, but this isn't even going to keep up with this years retirements. Manpower is stretched thin. We need a hiring wave like 1995 or 1989 where they had about 1,200 people at once rolling through. It would definitely get us a better furlough, that's for sure.

New recruits get some kind of time out cards, so during the academy training if they are too stressed out they can hand in the card and go home or to a quiet room.
When I heard this I almost pee'd in my pants laughing so hard. I can't wait to see a ppo hand a time out card to an offender while he is getting his ass kicked.
Same shit was said about Marine Corps boot camp. Typical rumor bullshit that just morphs as the story is spread around. C'mon, you should know better.
I never talk bad about PPO's, beacause they can't possibly know any better. JUST LIKE ALL THE ASSHOLES THAT THINK "THEY" DID!
It's easy to bad mouth the recruits, but you really have to look at the training division and the way it declined under that political hack Shaver; instructors with less than 5 years on the job, civilians and retired county cops teaching, and at least one staff member who told the recruits that "no ones' ever been fired for not doing anything". Add to that the staff member who told the recruits to obtain a CR number against the Psych Workshop instructors who talk to them in an insulting or demeaning manor.
I didnt mean recruits are pussies, the department molds them into pussies....well I will admit 75% are pussies goiong in.....
A word of advice to the new female recruits...
#1. Do not have sex with your instructors..
#2. Do not have sex with your fellow recruits
#3. When you arrivee at your training district do not have sex with your FTO's
#4. Do not have sex with the command staff...

#5. Do not sit in the car polishing your 4" nails...
#6. Do not complain and tell everyone that your on your period...and thats why you can'nt do anything...

Amazing the unfounded rumors regarding the academy. There are no time out cards. Discipline has returned to the academy along with a new physical fitness program. There are no retired county cops teaching. New instructors are assigned along with new bosses and they will change the academy and restore pride. They plan to hire 100 recruits a year to relieve officers on the street. Have faith.
Who are the new bosses that were brought there to try and change the academy now?
100 nes recruits a year doesnt come close to the amount of P.O.'s retireing
The other post is incorrect about the numbers that will be brought into the academy. I heard from a good source that they are bringing 100 recruits a month, up to and including January. Then they will continue to bring 50 a month after that. The Academy should be running better now that they have Tobias and Pontecore there. Maybe we will see some old school policing being taught there again.
