Publicity Blitz
We're sure everyone noticed the "SCC Flag" posted in the right hand column. We put it up 08 September and alluded to it being part of a wider publicity campaign.
Well, the campaign is underway.
This past weekend, mailed to every district rep and (almost) every unit rep, were THOUSANDS of these flags as palm cards. We're sure that our regular readers already have the site bookmarked so they don't have to remember it off the tops of their heads. But there are thousands of potential readers out there who have never seen our flyers or can't remember the website address if they have. Hopefully, these cards will serve as reminders for the site and they'll check it out later. If you see a pile of them around, be sure you point them out to your fellow officers. The more people that visit, the better the participation and the better the site gets.

Yeah, God forbid the media finds out how bad the Mexican Independance Parade Day was in the 010th District. People shot, a rape, numerous batteries, an officer had his head split open, numerous incidents of bottles being thrown at the police, lost, abandoned children, drunken driving etc. All that made it in the paper was a picture of how great the parade was, not one story of all these incidents; same with the billiken parade. Why does the city and the media continue to downplay the truth about these incidents? They always make sure to note all the arrests at the S.S.Irish Parade every year(which I also believe is a pain in the ass.)

I just attended my first training class since graduating the academy 7 years ago. It was awesome, Cant wait to attend another one in maybe 7 more years.
What I have yet to understand about all of this slavery issues in regards to companies having them is how can these companies be punished now for something that was legal at the time they had them???????

Mexican Independence Day.....We were outnumbered from the start. It could have been a disaster. Lack of working police on the street takes away from officer safety.
This just coming from a dumb PO but we have this so called elite unit of officers called TRU. Their main purpose is to be a uniformed presence on the streets. Why are not these officers sent to the parades...Bud Bilken, Mexican Ind., Puerto Rican Feast, SSI parade etc. They can do without one day of impounds and traffic tickets.
A few days ago some brass in their infinite wisdom created operation push and sent a car from each district to babysit the donoations for the hurricane. I believed this was in 002. Why are we once again depleting district man power when we have this stupid ass unit whish now has just as many if not more officers that are assigned to it than a single district.

why not require that anyone having a parads (EVERY SINGLE ONE!) pay for an appropriate contingent of off-duty sworn officers?
I gotta give him credit- this is a first for him I think. Not a fan of his- but this is all many ask- own up and move forward while fixing the problem. This was part of the proposal that was given to the city that pretty much mirrored Boston in regards to traffic at sporting events, construction, parades, and simalar type events.
The city would charge all of these events a fee and then the program would be set up similar to Special Employment in which off duty PO's then performed those duties at their given rate.
A little while after this proposal was given to the city this TMA concept came about. Some supposed brain child type who thinks they know everything aka Huberman probably looked at the concept and then said that the city could hold onto even more money by hiring these TMA people at probably around $15.oo and hour compaired to what our going rate would be.
What I want to know is who decides when these TMA morons are used and when they are not. Let's see here than can be used for Cubs, Sox, Bears, loop traffic etc. but they can not be used for these parades and other similar events???
I know it may be a personal work ethic with some. However, when is enough going to be enough. The city doeasnt care, why should we. Let all these minority's kill, beat , rape the crap out of each other. Why should you as a Police officer go get hurt over some slime bucket. Its amazing at how much crap a cop in chicago will eat. I could car elees about most of these animals. However if you can find an honost Joe citizen, its still nice to help someone. But they are far and few between where I work.

I can certainly agree with the call for a job action; just don't forget to back each other up. Slowing down does not mean abandoning your brother and sister officers.
I have a question.Just how many Georges work for the city and are they related? Just asking
