Someday, this will be worth money

We used to be quite the artist back in the day. Our work won prizes, ribbons and recognition nationwide (well, maybe locally - Mom put a lot of it on the fridge). We'll post an example below:
As you can see, we've censored any identifying characteristics of ourselves, Mom and Dad so as to preserve our anonymity. We don't want to give away too much at this time. But you can obviously spot the talent: everyone has five fingers, everyone is wearing clothes, we all have hair. Talent, pure and simple. (Click on the pics for larger versions)

Anyway, inspired by an anonymous comment in the "What is that Whistling Noise?" post, we decided to break out the pencils, drawing ink and our limitless talent. We spent quite a bit of time drawing this cartoon for our White Sox fans. We present "Team Titanic":We are aware of the predilection of artists to sign their art, so just for fun, see if you can spot our initials in the drawing. And yes, we drew it ourselves - both pictures.

Sox still in pennant race

Cubs pretty much out of pennant race

No one cares about Hawks pre-season except for moderator and 50-year-old single guys still living at home with mom and dad

Hey Moderator!!!

When is the last time Hawks won anything? They've been to the playoffs, what.....once in the past 22 years or something! At the least the Wolves are winners and could give the Hawks a good game.

Go Chicago Cougars!!!!!!!!

Looking at your picture of "Mom, Dad and me" I am assuming that your Mom is tall and manly, your Dad is short and child-like, and your parents dressed you in skirts. That means your could only be one person on this Dept....the future commander of 023.

Embracing the Gulf

The Chicago Police Department has joined forces with the
Orland Hills Police Department in an effort to assist law enforcement officers in the Mississippi Gulf area along with their families.

The purpose of the drive is to help the officers who have lost everything to Hurricane Katrina.

As fellow officers, it is important that we pull together and take this opportunity to give clothing and other police related
equipment that is clean and in usable condition (no torn, dirty
or extremely worn items please.)

Remember, in most cases officers and their families don’t even have running water.

Collection of these items will be held two days only- Tuesday
27 September and Wednesday 28 September from 0700 hours until
1800 hours at U.S. Cellular Field parking lot C- located at 332 West 35th Street, Chicago IL.

(Just set up a cardboard box or three on/behind the desk or in Neighborhood Relations and maybe someone can find the time to drop it off over by “Cominsky” Tuesday or Wednesday)

Items Needed-

POLICE ITEMS:

Uniform Pants (not wool!)
Uniform Shirts (patches removed)
Belts
Shoes
Flex Cuffs/handcuffs
Rain Gear
Boots
Latex Gloves

Thank you in advance for making this happen- your assistance can make so many working police and their families feel so much better!

(THANKS TO THE “BRIDGEPORT BRAWLER”, The OTHER Hurricane "T" & Miss Lill FOR GETTING THIS OUT! ;-> )
