Movement! We've Got Movement!
Tiny little movement - Daniel Alvarado is now the commander of Evidence and Recovered Property. Evidently Toby Burton retired at some point and nobody told us.
:::shaking our fist at readers:::
Let's try to get the rumor mill back on track people.

Alvarado doesn't last in one place too long, eh? What gives? I don't know anything about him, but I don't recall a Commander being moved laterally so many times in so short a period before. I think Burton has been gone since early summer, but I may be wrong.
oNE OF YOUR READERS POSTED THAT tOBY bURTON WAS GONE IN aUGUST.
Nice story by Novak in the Sun-times about the 50/50 Sidewalk program rip-off scam. I just dropped about $850.00 a month or two ago. I wonder how much I'm really supposed to pay!
any word on cha special being re-opened to former members of that unit?
ZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZ I gotta pee... ZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZ who cares? ZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZZZ Wake me when something interesting happens. oh yeah, get a life.
Priceless. An anonoymous person takes the time to type "get a life" along with some nonsense. Anyone else see the irony? Bet he works in 025.
I hear Dep. Chief Kill(moral)ackey is leaving soon since his guy Maurer retired. Good Riddance
Alvarado was a heck of a nice guy. Would have made a nice mailman or seamstress but a Commander? Give me a break, he couldn't lead a pack of Brownies. Didn't have a clue as to what life was like in the real world. He is the posterboy for those that are nutured, taken care of their entire careers, given good jobs in do nothing units and then thrust into the real world of Patrol where they flounder. I hope he realizes that this will be his last assignment, that he was dumped from 025 and sent to his present assignment for a reason. I mean, he was already told that he couldn't bring any of his favored few with him. That in itself should tell a thinking man that it's over, time to go.
Toby left the 15th of September--enough was enough, I guess.
Is Alvarado the first Commander ever to be dumped from 025? I think so. That won't look too good on the resume now will it?
I've worked for Alvarado and I agree that he's not the brightest bulb in the pack, however, he seemed a decent man. Certainly being used by the numbers crunchers to show that we have a sufficient number of hispanic bosses. Problem is he's now being put in charge of a unit that has been notorius for lost narcotics (?) and has even had its own people accused of stealing property and drugs. No way Alvarado can keep up with it all. Makes me think that someone is either throwing him to the wolves, wants to make him fail, or has found a way to dip into the till and figures that Dannyboy will never notice!! Go Figure!
Allegedly BURTON will be offered a spot as a high-paid civilian within the department and that is the reason he pulled the pin.
His upcoming retirement party shall be held in a phone booth. see Sgt. NORTHERN (Ret.) for tickets.
"Aloha" to Leroy's "Hawaiian" biatch.
WAWAU, OKOLE PUKA!
On a lighter note...
Prez Bush was at his usual morning briefing in the oval office regarding the war in Iraq. Seated around the round table were members of his cabinet including his chief of staff. During the meeting the president was informed the overnight three Brazillian soldiers were killed in a roadside bombing. Hearing this the president became furious. Slamming down his papers and tossing his coffee cup in rage. The national security advisor asked the president what was wrong. President Bush said "damn it...just how many IS three brazillion?"
That joke has been floating around for 2 months. Welcome to August. Try staying with the thread fucktard.
Wouldn't be the first commander dumped from 025. In the '90's, they dumped a guy (Pappas I think) to an inspector position after a post Bulls-game (riot?) beer party in 025's parking lot... which he supposedly knew about or attended.
Just correcting somebody, though some of my facts may need correction. The commander was nice to his guys, and he was certainly one of the nicer inspectors. I have no idea how to fix 025 to get them to stay out of trouble though. Tis a shame as I've known at least a few nice, good workers there. But lots of goofs.
Apparently you have never heard of former 25th Dist. Cmdr. Joseph Curtin.
Curtin was a moronic version of the Marquis de Sade.
How much money does inspectors make? Commander's pay?
Inspector = Lt. pay, take home car and they pretty much make their own hours.
Any truth to the rumor Chief Stevens is leaving by the end of the month.
...Joe Curtin? Anyone have the picture of him with his Spock ears from the old gallows ?
Heard Stevens will be gone after a D class or two are made...hmmm....
To 2:31 and 2:57-rumour has it Stevens leaves 10/31. D. Kirby (ADS-IAD)to take over.
Stevens last day is 27Oct, his cake and coffee at the puzzle palace at 1400; lst day on the books is 31Oct.
IN 23 we called Commander Alvarado the "Absentee LAndlord". But he was a nice person.
Hey post 8:24 pm, aka O'Grady, Leftisbest,Shadenfrueden. It was Al Gore who made that remark at an event he was hosting in an attempt to be comical. I know iknow Shady, you really really really hate Bush. Now take your meds you psycho.
