Oh No! Quick Hits!

Well we missed quite a bit taking the evening off. Here's a lovely selection in case you've been living under a rock - which we were doing tonight.
  • A not so funny clown. Joey Lombardo in custody! We guess we'll be seeing him die behind bars soon. Sun Times; Tribune; Channel 2; Channel 5; Channel 7; hell, everyone is covering this.
  • A not so funny clown. Laski indicted! Hopefully, we can see him serve a large portion of time and maybe even flip on some bigger fish. Sun Times; Tribune; Channel 2; Channel 5; Channel 7; everyone again!
  • A not so funny clown. Man shot by police after he tried to run down a sergeant. This is one of a couple shootings last night.
  • A not so funny clown. Mayor deposed over firing of his cousin. We like to see another couple of depositions all around over by City Hall. Could this be the first of many?
  • A not so funny incident all around. Former cop gets 12 years for killing two in a DUI. Tribune; Channel 5; Channel 7.
  • A not so funny bunch of clowns on ice. Blackhawks win! OK, so their record over the past 13 games is 2 wins and 11 loses - but if you just look at the last 3 games, they're 2 and 1, winning 66% of their games and well on their way to securing a playoff berth (ha!)

As I'm reading this, I'm enjoying a cocktail in my basement. No mrs around, the kids are asleep, I can enjoy a cocktail and not worry! No driving home and risking everything, no chance of doing something stupid.

If only Casper had done the same thing....not go to the tavern that fateful night, but go home. Now he has 12 years to think things over.

If you think it can't happen to you, or think that the star in your pocket will save you, you're fooling yourselves. The star can only go so far, but when you crash, it's too late.

Please, don't let it happen to you. Let Casper be the last copper to have to pay such a price.

Be safe

That's a stupid fucking statement. In the twenty years I've been doing this job I've never looked for anything free in a bar. I drink in places that have plenty of cops (Ira's of old, the Nook) and don't do anything but bullshit with my friends. Why don't you flip my cock with your sanctimonious tongue. Better yet, join the other guy with no friends in his basement and continue to slap one another on the ass for being so sensible, but how would you get home? There are some real fucking twits on this job.

Great, yet another jag-off copper who only hangs with police, only goes to police bars, and only thing to come out of his mouth are the typical war stories; "I did this, I did that, bing-bang-boom, I told him to go fuck himself.....yada, yada, yada." Oh and let us not forget, "Fuck sergeant, I ain't taking that fucking test, it don't mean shit anyway!" Zzzzzzzz....... Get a life stroke, but please do it carefully.

Stay in your basement and play with yourself. Almost thirty years on this job and I learned one lesson. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DRINK EVERY DROP OF BOOZE IN THE BAR. It is called self discipline.

Oh yeah, and there are these wonderful, if not always great things called cabs. Theswe are for the majority of you who have no cop friends who have the brains to drive your drunk ass home. But most coppers are too cheap and stupid to take one home. If you drink, drive and crash too effin bad.

I have lost too many friends and relatives to drunk drivers. Get a life outside of this job. Go to places where real people socialize. Drinking with cops, telling lies, getting drunk, and expecting someone to bail your sorry ass out when you screw up just shows how pathetic you are.

One more thing. The guys and gals who do well on tests go home at night and study.

The ones who bitch and moan about merit promotions and clout are the guys who are to hung over to even get up to take the test. Y'all should be bitch slapped.

You don't think some of the coppers you drink with weren't or aren't still criminals and dopers? Come on man, get a clue. Yet if the word is used by a NON "N" word, the world unfolds to black community. WHY?

Again, the "N" word is not a color but a way of life for lazy, useless, non law abiding people that attribute a damn thing to society. And yes that includes whitey.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that "Cabrini Heat" has been nominated for an Oscar for "Best Short Documentary". Producer: Cash Carter Films.

Academy membership is also buzzing that "Brokeback Mountain" will not only win the Oscar for "Best Motion Picture". The gay cowboy film so poignantly reflects American life that it will surpass "Casablanca", "Citizen Kane" and "The Godfather" as an all-time classic.

Producers Harvey Feinstein and Aaron Spelling predict that "Brokeback Mountain" has opened up a new genre of movies and TV shows. Future plans include a new TV police drama set in the Castro District of San Francisco.
The protagonist will be SFPD Inspector Chad Fudgepacker and his transvestite partner, B.J. Morehead. "CSI: San Francisco" is also forthcuming.

But you spent the half your post smugly congratulating yourself for being so smart. So go fuck yourself. You're no better than anyone else.

1/14/2006 03:50:08 AM

I drink with my friends that I worked with when I came on the job with over twenty years ago. We're long past telling cop stories. Most of the things we talk about are family and retirement plans. Sometimes world events. Do you always paint everyone with the same brush? Sometimes Sgt's do fuck me over, but that's because they do stupid shit that I have to clean it up. Most of them are pretty good though and their hearts are in the right place. For the most part patrolmen do more stupid shit that I have straighten out. Most of them are pretty good though and their hearts are in the right place.

1/14/2006 03:56:54 AM

I don't need to go home and study for promotion tests. There are none left for me to take.

I will share this with all three of you. Know it all cops are usually the worst cops. I'm sorry God cursed you with a small penis or you got picked on in first grade or whatever traumatized you. Going through life thinking you are smarter and better than everyone else will only hold back. Thinking you are always right means you will never learn anything. The best police work is not black and white, it's done in the gray area. You learn how to be a good cop from those around you. Doing well on a test doesn't make you a good cop. When I was a P.O. guys like you would show up and act like you knew it all, but you couldn't even write a TVB. When I was a dick guys would show up and after three months they would be arguing with me about what was going to happen on motions two years from now. A couple of trips to the GJ and now they were master detectives. Same thing when I was Sgt. PPO's all around me who knew everything. Everyone I knew on this job that was a know it all are still shitty cops. They just annoy the shit out of everyone else with their imagined expertise. I'll finish with a last piece of insight. Because your momma and daddy told you were special doesn't make it so. All parents tell their children that little white lie.

The ball got rolling when some guy lost a chunk of change and wanted his $$ back. P.O. T told him to take a hike...and he did, straight to 016. The "man" has been on him ever since.

Actually, I'm surprised he lasted on the job as long as he did. He was an ass from the start. He's an arrogant know-it-all and a bully with Napoleon syndrome. I'm not sad to see him go.

However, the feds only get involved at the "oh shit" level. It's not like they can give us a play if we get on their radar.

I don't hate the feds, I only hate the cocksuckers who think they walk on water because they're feds. And while I'm on my soapbox, and before someone throws me off it, I don't care too much for the prima donnas who like to call themselves "the real police." Fuck all prima donnas.

Nice smart ass posting...tongue in cheek.

Now on a serious note, had you gotten in an accident on the way home you'd be toast. If you think it can't happen to you, you're dillusional! I can think of six coppers in the last five years who probably thought like you do now. All of them lost the job and most of them are in prison.

Good coppers who did nothing wrong...except they drove while drunk. Lots of coppers (shit, lots of people) drive drunk and make it home OK, thinking nothing is wrong. But get into an accident, even if it's not your fault, and it's too late. God forbid you do like Casper or DeLucia, now you are not only toast, but you have to live with the fact that your arrogance killed someone.

Make all the bullshit jokes you want, talk tough and smart, but if you keep driving when you're drunk, it's only a matter of time. Don't you think Casper wishes he hadn't? He has at least til 2016 to think things over.

As long as you're admiring it, go ahead and lick it clean.
