No, we aren't talking about the department right at this moment:
Yes, the Blackhawks finally ended their 10 game losing streak yesterday. They tried to keep it going of course, jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the first 23 minutes before blowing the entire thing and needing overtime to dispose of the Washington Capitals - one of the few teams with a worse record than Chicago. We've gotten away from reporting on the Blackhawks because (1) there didn't seem to be much interest in it and (2) they suck. People don't want to follow a loser - well, except for Cubs fans - and they're mentally challenged anyway. Seriously. Have you ever talked to them? They're like Lefty and Shady are with George Bush - mental.
Anyway, we hated to bore you with even this little entry, but we needed material and someone was busting on us for not mentioning the Hawks more. We prefer to enjoy our misguided pain and misery privately and dream of years past when we'd make the playoffs every so often.

I suscribe to nhl center ice. The cheap wirtz family even blocks out most hawks games on nhl center ice even when all other games in the nhl are on. Screw the hawks. Go Red Wings!
It's amazing that franchise has survived. The Wirtz family has done everything it can to run it into the ground.
I didn't know we would ever talk about my favorite sport. The Hawks do suck and Wirtz has killed the team. Dale Tallon is a nice guy. I've have met him and talked to him on a few occasions. He will have a real conversation with fans who know hockey and let you know what he thinks. The Hawks had to overspend this offseason to get anybody to come over. As we all see it hasn't paid off
Years ago I was tight with several Hawks. Bob Murray, Steve Larmer, Mike Peluso, they were all miserable working for Wirtz. What they told me turned me off the Hawks. I haven't been to a game in years.
love them or hate them.......it's much better than the ghetto style basketball the nba's been poutting on t.v..................when wirtz dies then hopefully a corporation will buy the team .......HOPEFULLY.......
