A great big "Thank You" for Governor Blago reaching deep into your pocket (and ours) to find $150,000 dollars to spend on cameras because some preacher felt that he was above such piddly hassles as obeying traffic laws. How can we say such things? Because we remember that the driver WAS GUILTY! We can't recall if he pled guilty or was found guilty, but it doesn't matter. Guilty is Guilty. Not only that - the Sergeant was CLEARED of racial profiling. IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!
But the reverend meeks can't be bothered with such trivialities. He has elections to run and headlines to garner and an entire cult of victimhood to perpetuate. Coverage at Channel 2; Channel 5; Sun-Times. What a crock.

My dad is a 75 yr old white guy. Drives like shit. Gets pulled over and will not say his son is the police, takes the ticket and fights it and wins mostly. Thank god he doesn't drive very much any more. Is he racially profiled???
And way to admit "racial profiling" exists in IL governor. Even though Meeks' driver was a black man stopped in an all black area. You just made yourself look like a jackass yet again. I can't wait until this clown gets voted out!
The 005th District puts down four cars every Sunday to direct traffic at Meeks' church. There are two beat cars, one tact car and one person from inside office.
The cameras are installed but in typical crap ass city fashion, they contacted 15 different vendors to see who would big the lowest. (nevermind about safety) The camera system in my car has the camera under the rear view mirror and all the controls, volume, speaker etc mounted on the roof of the car. The box, etc is in the trunk. This model seems to be fine, it takes up no extra space and you hardly notice the camera at all. (not that I want one anyway) Other cars have the monitor attached to a swingbar which comes out next to the pdt and a big ass box that takes up the space between the front seats. Another model has a stupid boom box looking speaker between it's front seats. None of the cameras are turned on because we haven't had training. The order is a joke. At the beginning of the tour you are required to stand in front of your car, activate the camera give your name and date and unit of assignment etc. From what we understand, the lights activate the camera. Should make for some interesting footage on your way to an inprogress. With a few choice words as well. The plan seems to be pull over a car and then shut your lights off so it's not recorded. Don't know if that will work. We are told it's OPTIONAL. Don't know if people will get gigged for shutting off the camera after a traffic stop or what.
After all this testing it's my understanding that they will have to call all the cars back to the area (some cars were gone for weeks) and take them out. Then they will figure out the contract and down all the cars again and put them back in. I have never seen a time when the entire district had pool cars. Imagine how bad they are.
This should be interesting.

Blago & Meeks have a history together. Remember about 8-9 years ago when those two and Jessee went overseas to negotiate the release of our citizens that were being held? I don't remember much of the incident, but I do remember the footage of those three holding hands and (apparently) praying. Total posing for the camera. They have been in bed a long time.
Meeks has run Roseland for years as his own little kingdom. He has always been arrogant in the dealings that I have had with him.

Gov. Blago (or Governor Blowdry as Jay Marvin called him) appeared this morning on the Cliff Kelley show on WVON (1450AM). It was disgusting the way the head of the state of illinois played into the host's hands.
Here's some bits from the show:
KELLEY: "You know why there was so many heroes at The Alamo? There was no back door.
BLAGO: That's a good point.
Then they cut to a commercial.
KELLEY: I hope these cameras will be put in communities where there is police brutality and not up on the Northwest Side.
BLAGO: I agree and we shall stress this. He then went on to say that since the state and black ministers were contributing $50,000 they should pick where they go.
KELLEY: I hope there will be no shut off swirches on these cameras. Will you check up on this?
BLAGO: I am not sure but I will check on it.
BLAGO: I couldn't even begin to imagine, because of the color of my skin, what goes on.
KELLEY then on to say that Blago should be relected and asked when he would officially announce his relection bid.
In a quick aside, after KELLEY first very quickly mentioned the cameras will help "good police" BLAGO agreed.
KELLEY condemned OPS, the superintendent and said a majority of brutality on young black men was committed by white officers. NOT ONCE in 30 minutes did BLAGO even remotely defend the police.
I told you guys how to stop being sent to meeks church in 5 and being his parking lot security on the city tax payers dime.... first you and your partner sign out 2 parking ticket books,then begin writting tickets to vehicle in his lot registered in the city and failing to display a city sticker. Trust me you will not get in trouble for this one, I did it 9 years ago when his church was on indiana and never got messed with afterward.... Meeks was pissed and stopped requesting cpd to do his security........ Laski even made it easier to write these tickets on private property by making a law .....
What they are going to do is put them in cars in places like englewood, roseland, gresham and the west side. So that that fat piece of garbage meeks can say "The emancipation of the situation is, that Chicago Police officer only pull blacks over." Seeing that a majority of blacks are terrible drivers, have no licenses, farked up registration, and every other violation that is covered by the ilcs and the MCC. Seeing that all the others actually work, and don't have link cards.
You may not like Topinka, but look who her running mate is. Birkett is as pro-police/law as they come. Even though I voted for him for Attorney General, I am glad he didn't get it. I would MUCH rather have him in the governor's office!!

While I agree that Balgo MUST BE VOTED OUT OF THE MANSION, I also urge all of you to vote Dick "the Turbin" Durbin out of office.

I'm now out of state. I suspect that Blago has done more than enough to warrant an indictment that is now inevitable, so he's not my chief target.
I will be organizing out-of-state fundraisers for any credible opponent of Durbin. Last year I sent money to Thune in SD in order to help drive Daschle out. And I can live with Obama so far. In fact, I sort of like the guy for a liberal. He's like a smart liberal.
But Durbin must go. I'll do whatever I can to make it happen. Oh, and I live in the same neighborhood as ex-Senator Fitz now. If I run into him, my first and only questions will be "who do we back, and how can I help"?
As Topinka and her ilk were the enemies of Senator Fitz, I would have to swallow hard to back her.

You got a point there. One tiny flaw, you're not supposed to write a parker for no city sticker unless you confirm the registration. If you start running plates, they may figure out what you're up to, but more so, if you don't run plates and write the tickets, then you can get a beef.
On that note, tinted license plate covers, no front license plate, expiered license plates and tinted windows are all parkers you can write and maintain radio silence.
I'd try those...it may work. After all, you're only doing your job, and no supervisor can tell you NOT to write a valid ticket.
I believe that Mr Clifford Kelly the radio show host was once an Alderman who's lack of integrity landed him in thhe hoosegow at one point

Not being stuck on the detail, I was assuming the officers were stuck outside of their vehicles. Good point though!

I believe that there is an G.O. requiring that the emergency equipment be on for the entire duration of a traffic stop. You turn off the light bar, to shut off the camera, then you open yourself up to discipline if an inspector catches you.Cameras were in some of the cars in 014 in the late 1990's as a pilot program, it failed.
My issue is there should be a way to record without activating the emergency equipment to catch the violation itself on tape. (Example, you are sitting at a red light, activate the recorder, and when the traffic signal turns green watch as 3-4 vehicles go through the intersection from both directions at 45-50 mph ignoring their RED Light. Then record the motorist's rantings about "how the light was yellow and that they know CMDR. Acosta and will have your job,etc,etc." I know because I witnessed it!)
I mean we should be able to record the violation and record the entire event, their demeanor etc. Example the entire 15 minute rodney king chase, where he committed dozens of violations as opposed to just the last 3 minutes, which we all know the result.
These cameras could be used to great benefit in the officers advantage if implemented correctly. If the sargeant on the south-side had it, it may have exposed what an arrogant,lying, asshole a certain minister was. I wasn't there but i've seen many reverends and community activists talk shit and spew venum, and the cameras go on and they talk "sooooo sweetly!"
Anyone can be a "reverend". Its to a point that the title is meaningless.
I took the 1993 sergeant's test and was promoted from it. My study group took each G.O. and S.O. from the reading list and made as many hypothetical questions for each order as we could think. Then we researched the answers and put the Q's & A's on one big sheet.
Studying that sheet really helped. It didn't do shit for the oral, but it helped with the written.
Good luck to those who give it a try. Remember, they may make 30% merit, but that means they have to make 70% off the list.

Why the hell would you be making t-stops on shit heads with a camera on you? You know they are going to act out. They will be able to see the camera in the rear view. And nothing they do will get themselves in trouble.

Now about this Northwestern Study. I think it is a load of shit. Tell me something if you work in the south side or the west side who are u going to pull over either blacks or hispanics. Then if you work in the north side all your going to do is pull over white people. So this study sucks and is the worst thing I have ever heard of. Its another reason to pick on the police and when the liberal media gets a hold of the stats they are going to make a field day out of it. Its going to say that all the Chicago Police officers are profiling and that they will go after those police officers who are profiling miniorities. They are going to question why you pulled over pooky and why you wrote him 10 tickets. Well because his car had all those violations, and hes an asshole.
