Quick Hits to Start the Weekend

In case you missed these stories:
  • Former PO John Smith sentenced to 24+ years for stealing and selling narcotics evidence out of E&RPS. Anyone remember who was in charge of E&RPS when this all went down? We recall a boatload of VCR's going "missing" shortly after recovery, but heard a rumor the city bought off the electronics store that owned the VCR's as they had been declared forfeited and installed in Districts and Units already.
  • Two sets of rules again - this time in Airport concessions. Four chances to comply with the rules? Why do we think some mom & pop operations would be out on their ears if they tried to pull this crap?
  • Evacuating the city. Cool! Fran reports "Specific instructions would then be communicated through loudspeakers attached to police squad cars and 112 warning sirens at two-mile intervals, through a 911 callback system capable of placing as many as 1,000 calls a minute, or through radio, television and the Web site." No word on what happens in the event of an EMP attack that would disable every single one of these systems. No matter though - WE CALL DIBS ON THE BLUES MOBILE!
  • Throw it back! Human head caught by teens fishing in Florida.

He'll be out of prison in 6 years, sue the city for placing an addict in a position within proximity to narcotics.
The city will cut him a check for $1 million, and give him a pension and full backpay.

Smith was nothing more then an opportunist crook
who was loosely align with the crooks they took out of Housing several years ago. Greed appears to be the primary motivator, money and dope for the taking. Its a problem thats much bigger then we will admit, because alot of the thefts or under reported seizures are done on a much smaller scale...........skimming has been around since the beginning of time

Whigham was the head of ERPS. Thats why it was moved out of 26/Cal. His excuse was the rats were eating all the dope that was missing. They must have been eating the guns also since there was a huge loss of guns that were turning up on the strret from ERPS.

It amazes me how a bunch of clowns who drive around in beat cars always have such intimate knowledge of scandals and impropriety within the department. "Since there were a huge number of guns turning up on the street from ERPS" How does your dumb ass even come up with shit like that? You dumb fucks never have your facts straight, you just repeat whatever another dumb fuck patrolmen told you.

Live my this motto asshole:

Believe Half of what you see and None of what you hear...

P.S. There's a reason why your still in beat car-don't try to be pretend your any smarter than your dumb ass really is

FACT: I recovered a gun some years ago at a homicide scene at 45th Federal St. A check of this gun reveal that it was taken in a burglary in the suburbs. Later this gun was recovered in a UUW arrest in Englewood, at this point the serial number had been partially altered and the presiding Judge had refuse to give the gun back to the registered owner, ordering same to be confiscated and destroyed. But at last I ended up with it....after the powers to be were made aware of the exsistence of the gun, IAD was dispatched to pick it up from us and that boys and girls was the end of that, all our inquiries to how this GUN got back on the street WE WERE TOLD basically none of our business...the moral of the story even If you have guys banging around in beat cars and a burned out districts it doesn't necessarily mean that they are clueless and uninformed. All it means is that they were smart enough to pass the exam to get on this job BUT DIDN't
C/O Mr. Richard Pyror

have a political or parental TIT to ween off of to be annointed to a position or job position that they aren't qualified for.........So the very next time some of YOU self important ASSHOLES get caught up in some shyt on the street and need the assistances from some lowly beat copper who just happen to have enough sense to keep from getting his clock rung by the very siuation that you see your self in...do eveybody a favor call your daddy or your clout for the much needed assistances

The main problem with ERPS started when the department allowed civilians to work it. Grant it, there were a few problems with sworn personnel but it was in total dissaray when the civilians came in. I had observed boxes to the ceiling (26 & Cal) of drugs (Coke & Weed) that had not been processed because there was no real accountability. The civilians would not take orders from sworn personnel. At least if the sworn still had control there would have been accountability.

Several years ago, an officer in a northisde district responded to a domestic. After the husband was in the car, the wife told the officer that he had guns in the house and showed him where they were. He inventoried them and gave the slip to the husband.

When the husband went to court, he had documents showing that they were legally registered as antiques. The judged ordered the guns returned to the guy. Imagine his surprise when he went to EARPS to pick up his property and they couldn't find them.

A CR number was issued against the arresting officer and the desk sergeant for failure to secure prisoner's property. When all the paperwork was put together, TPTB discovered that the yellow inventory form (that's the one left in the book, back when we used books, newbies) was never signed by the guy who picked up the property from the districts. However, everything had been properly signed by the P.O. and Sgt.

Curiously, the form immediately before and immediately after the gun inventory had been signed. Unfortunately, both those forms had 2 different dates on them.

They never figured out who took the guns, but we all knew it had to be the civilian property clerk. The property locker was located directly behind the desk Sgt. Everything, except narcotics was stored in there.

So, a P.O. going into the locker, such that it was (it was actually a cabinet with a screwdriver keeping the doors "secured")and removing between 5-7 guns, would have stuck out like a sore thumb.

The desk Sgt. wouldn't have paid any attention to a clerk picking up the property.

And we all know where those guns ended up.
