OK, We Withdraw the Apology
We had extended a conditional apology to the County the other day when it was discovered that we had made an unfair accusation speculating that it was probably a County jail guard that smuggled the gun into the jail. It wasn't. HOWEVER, it now appears that one or more guards turned a blind eye to the fact that there was a gun INSIDE the maximum security wing of the jail and may have taken bribes to overlook it.
That's insane.
And just when you think everything would be tightened up, everyone would be on their best behavior, and no one would step out of line, a prisoner escapes today.
The county is a broken and corrupt government body. We can only hope that Fitzgerald is looking into some of these goofs, too. Maybe the John Daley angle will pan out shortly and we can see a bunch more people headed to jail and singing stories to the Feds.

I'M FIFTH AND PAID MORE TO GEICO. GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE INSURANCE COMPANY, they used to insure postal employees who were high risk cases.

Yes, and the inmates also get cable Tv in jail. They see first run movies in their theater. (Yes, they have a movie theater) All your tax dollars to help these poor inmates. You guys framed them in the first place.
