From the Comments Section

This has got to be a joke, right? No way this could be true, right? Please tell us it's a joke:
  • A prisoner at the county was on a writ to A/5 for an investigation. The investigation concluded and the prisoner, in full DOC uniform, was placed in the 25th lockup on new misd charges. The Desk Sgt. I-bonded the prisoner on his new charge and let him walk out the door in his DOC uniform and jacket. How in the world could this happen???
A joke? Someone? Bueller?

Nope, the CCDOC inmate was put into the lock-up and apparently borrowed one of the other arrestees' jacket. When he walked out with the others, he was wearing a jacket over the shirt.

heavy hearted cop says:

Were talking a good game on this Hampton thing, but nothing is going to jell. how about this to get the point across. March, and at he end stick around, don't leave crowd it up, just stare at the bosses, no talk, no nothing, just stare. It would be devastating, it would be a memory to take to your grave.

You gotta be kidding me. Stare at the bosses. You think these shitheads care if you stare at them. They wouldn't care if 100,000 people showed up and they weren't wearing pants.
You want to know what they care about. They care about movers, parkers, contact cards and stupid tac arrests for drinking on the public way. That's what they care about!
They care about 6,000 non-connected cops calling in sick on a Friday and Saturday night in July, or even April. That would get their attention! That would raise some eyebrows. Even the mayor would notice that.
The problem with the dept is and always has been that so many people have aspirations of getting promoted. Even though many don't realize that there is no chance for them to move up to exempt positons, good clout units (that is if you believe the rest of the promotions are legit). The exempts could give two shits at who shows up or doesn't show up at St. Judes.

I remember a few blogs ago evreyone was raggin on the county guys for escaped prisoners and how we should privatize their job. Now 025 lets one walk right out the front door. So what should we do now? Privatize the desk and lockup crews? We're all human, everybody makes mistakes. Especially when you work in a buracratic enviornment where the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing most of the time. PEOPLE IN GLASS HOUSES.

Yes it's true. It happened on the 1st. watch. Now while you all want to go blame the desk Sgt. who may or may not be merit (I don't know nor care), keep in mind that the dics who did the writ told NOBODY that the guy was there on a writ nor did they ask that a lock be placed on the prisoner. What they did do is to put misd. theft charges in the charges section of the arrest report, so once they guy's fingerprints cleared, he was eligible for bond and they bonded him out. When they did bring him out to bond out, he had another prisoners jacket on. How was ANYBODY except the detective that brought the guy in in the first place to know that the guy was there on a writ and should not be bonded out? If you want to rip someone perhaps you should look on the 2nd floor.

He took another prisoners jacket and put it on. Thats how hea was able to walk out.

BTW, in case anybody is interested, a Sanatoria (sic)curse has been placed upon the 025th District by one of the female janitors. It's documented on the W/C's log and a case report has been generated. Stay away. If any bad luck comes your way, you were warned!

If the guy was writ from ccjail, the dics should have stood by after the fingerprint and photo, leave the paperwork at the desk, advise the desk sgt. and return the guy back to ccjail. The dics have to return the body to SORT w/in 24 hrs. No communication here, questionable management on both the dics, their sgt and the desk sgt. Period.

3/25/2006 05:17:00 PM

Dr. Zacardo would never allow a Santoria curse to fall upon the men of 025.
Remember, however, that when the district was started some 25 years ago, it was staffed by transferring all the undesirables from other districts. Still hasn't fully recovered.
Still, the PO's aren't as bad as the supervision.

It was the genius detectives who screwed up. No indication of writ in arrest report and no lock put on arrestee. 025 did 'em a favor (last, I'm sure) by taking the mutt in. Just a couple of lazy nitwit dicks. And the arrestee did have an unmarked jacket over the khakis. Put the blame where it should be.

SOS doesn't hold people in Homan Square. No lock up facilities on the third floor.

Vice has holding rooms on the second floor, so it was probably them, not SOS.

How about the Area 3 dicks who after having a female prisoner in custody, the prisoner asked if she could check on her kids at 527 E. Browning (which is a CHA Building), the officers agreed.

When they got in front of the building the prisoner pointed out another female then stated that the woman was her aunt and if she could talk to her, again the officers agreed and as soon as they opened the door, out the prisoner went right into the CHA building. I don't know if she been caught as of this time but what a couple of __________ !!!!

Wasn't it 575 E. Browning? Betcha those dicks never worked a fast district in their entire careers. That's one of the oldest tricks in the ghetto book and they fell for it. ROTFLMAO.

What charge was the bitch being held on? Not a murder beef or even a felony, I hope?

You've got superb blackmail material on those two chumps. $$$ Talk about gettin' punked--WOW!!!
