Disappointed
Not that there was a realistic chance for them to go all the way, but the USA was roundly spanked by the Czechs in their opening World Cup match 3-0 (or nil as football fans say). And it isn't getting any easier when they face Italy on Saturday. If we recall, this was one of the "groups of death" from which only a single team (instead of two) was expected to emerge into the second round, but it would have been nice to see at least one US victory. Oh well, there's always 2010.

We are playing in 2 tournaments this year Columbus, Oh and to Portland for the North American Police Soccer tournament against 45 other departments.
We will be playing some other departments here.
Also, undefeated against CFD.

We had World Cup here in Chicago in '94, and it was a total BOMB! It really sucked the BIG ONE! The Brass were expecting millions, all days off cancelled, special bridges built to cross Lake Shore Drive (that were hardly used) and only several thousand came. The Big Hotels were neer empty waiting for guests that never showed.
Now our Mayor wants to redesign the lake front to put in the olympics. Put up a collapsing building? Tear down McCormick Place East (which they spent millions re-habbing just a few years ago).
Oh and by the way, the bridge they built to cross LSD (that would have stood for 40-50 years) was torn down after world cup soccer, cause the city only rented it!
It cost us a million or so.
We cannot afford anymore of Daleys Visions for our future. Put the money in our pension fund mr. mayor. Your grand ideas are killing us and making us poor.
