- A wrongful death lawsuit was filed Wednesday by the family of a young man who was killed by police.
- Her attorney says the off-duty officer and Keller had been arguing on the street because they had been dating the same woman. Police are covering that up, as well as the facts of the shooting, Pincham said.
- "This concept that every time you shoot down somebody by police officers, it gets swept under the rug and not completely, thoroughly investigated has got to stop," Pincham said.
Pincham is all sorts of scumbag. Capital "S" Scumbag. The clip on WBBM Radio had him declaring that the black officers on scene were racist [we're paraphrasing it here - SCC] for killing a black man because they forgot that they were black first and police officers second.
And has anyone ever proven in past 15 years that any copper actually planted a gun at a shooting scene? 20 years? 30 years? We can't recall the last time it was ever proven beyond a reasonable doubt. This charge has lost all meaning. Yet Pincham keep trotting it out as if the entire community is supposed to rise up in anger as the very allegation of impropriety. Give us a break.

If that's the case, then why doesn't the city, and/or the defendants, file a claim against the plaintiffs' attorneys, alleging either bad faith, or a violation of the attorneys' ethical rules (I know, an oxymoron); at any rate, if they sue, then "let's go at it".....

If my memory serves me, one of the suspects allegedly tortured in Cmdr. Jon Burge's district station was none other than the triggerman in the cold-blooded murders of two Chicago police officers on the far South Side.
Gradually, the rules that govern society in this country have been pushed aside in order to appease the liberal mindset that has become so pervasive in our everyday lives. As I see it, victims have fewer rights than perpetrators of crime and violence. That is why known murderers can walk about freely and one can buy drugs on almost any street corner.
I served this country, and it makes me sick to think that an American soldier is spending time in prison because his guard dog "intimidated" a suspected terrorist. This very soldier is putting his life on the line for our country and being punished for it, while innocent people are being blown apart all around him by our enemy. I suppose that apathetic and complacent Americans pretend that Iraq doesn't exist and that two Americans burned beyond recognition and strung up on a bridge were just images from a video game.
An analogy could be made for Cmdr. Burge and his supposed Gestapo-like tactics. Everyone seems to forget that police officers deal with terrorists every day. The country is different, but the results are the same. The loss of American life in Iraq is nothing compared to what goes on here every day. Innocent children and other helpless beings are killed by our own terrorists.
When police officers put their lives on the line to intercede on behalf of the citizenry, they have to get out their little book of do's and don'ts in order to not offend our terrorists. They have to follow protocol, and in the process, this is what gets them killed. In turn, this allows the American terrorist to be free to roam the streets and do more damage to us.
Years ago, I went to school with a young man by the name of Bob Gallowitch. After we got out of the service and were trying to establish our lives, we had the occasion to run into each other one day. At the time, Bob was driving a bread truck, but he was excitedly awaiting his appointment to the Police Academy. Well, Bob got his appointment, and he became a police officer, but he was killed in the line of duty. He was protecting us and our American way of life.
This was an excellent young man. I didn't know him too well, but I could tell that he had all of the qualities that one would want in a husband, father and police officer. He had everything to live for, but he didn't get the opportunity to do so.
Approximately 20 years after his death, I met and spoke with his wife, Joan. We started talking about her life and that of their children since Bob was killed, and she started to cry. Why? I'll answer that by saying that the heartache and pain never really ends for anyone associated with a good man like Bob. I commend Cmdr. Burge for doing the job he was paid to do and for attempting to make our streets safer to walk. As a supervisor, I can only say that I have personally witnessed the amazing drive within in our district's veterans. These guys will try to move mountains if you ask them. They don't bitch or moan about the assignments given and they have a high espirit de corps.

Thanks. If it wasn’t for the veteran officers nothing would get done right on this job. Even the supervisors seek us out for advice. Of course the know it alls with ten minutes on the job never need advice, since they can’t do anything. They whine, complain, piss and moan. They spend more time trying to get out of work than just doing it. It is a shame that any one would make such a statement. We have too many people on this job who should have been fired in the academy. There are no standards anymore. There is no respect. Worse, we have lost the police culture. The main reason why there really isn’t any camaraderie between officers in districts was the end of rotating shifts. There is some overlap with the shift change and early cars working with the late cars from the previous shift, but not lots of communication between them. Look what happens when you go to a district x-mas party, there really isn’t any interaction among officers except with the one’s you work with on your watch.
Rotating shifts will never be seen again and the same can be said with morale until these aldermorons and Richie Rich stop catering to total shitheads for votes. I really hope Target leaves the city just to stick it to these assholes. Now, no one is going to have ANY job-I hope it was worth it. If Target left, many other “Big Box” stores may leave and turn this place into Detroit, MI/Gary, IN, etc.

Good point LEOMEMORIAL. That salary is a bit much. Hell, I wouldn't fault them their big salaries IF we had our pension and healthcare squared away. And notice there are THREE Sgt.at Arms? I hope they aren't all salary. Was Nolan president when they sold us out and agreed that WE would pay them instead of CPD? To be exact: That their CPD salaries would be reimbursed by FOP funds. I've been on the job 16 yrs. and experienced the rotation of shifts. In my humble opinion, this did not bring about more or less camaraderie. It's a different department now then it was back then. On my watch, there is great back up as well as turn-outs for retirement parties, golf outings etc. and this after working strait a shift. It's the people, not the shift. Take care and be safe.

We don't have a union. FOP is not a union and never will be. They sold us out from day one. FOP in other towns, even small ones represents tjei members and wors hard for them. FOP Lodge 7 have been a sell out since John Dineen. They only care about he Detectives. We get the crumbs.

You don't have to give your name, but it will help in the investigation. Whatever you do, make sure to give them as much info as you can on the victim and offender.
A hotline will be generated, and DCFS and the CCAC (the old SIU) will investigate. The CCAC will arrange for a VSI (victim sensitive interview) with a child psychologist and hopefully will be able to get some info from the girl.
If what you say is true, this girl needs all the help she can get. Do you think the girl trusts you and your daughter enough to let you take her to the police?
Hell, her family could and should be charged if they let this bullshit continue.

Unless of course the hotline comes at one of the many times in a day that SIU is not working or there isn't a direct allegation of sexual abuse i.e. someone called in a registered child sex offender living in a home with small children.
Then the area is expected to handle it intially or in the case of the sex offender in the home, entirely. I have seen cases where a sexual abuse investigation has to be done, but SIU won't take it because they want a direct allegation before they will investigate. Even though the detective has to act like there is an allegation to investigate, they would not take the hotline.
SIU will NOT investigate if there is no DIRECT allegation of sexual abuse or assault. It will be the area.
SIU will not investigate a case involving a 14 year old victim UNLESS the abuse or assault is perpetrated by a family member or in a domestic situation.
Luring is the area, weanie wavers are handled by the area, sex offender registration,etc. Is weaning waving/exploitation of a child not a sex offense?
Abuse and Assault is what SIU handles. If it isn't a direct allegation of such, it seems to end up with the area.
14 year old victims do not get VSI's.
Under special circumstances a fourteen-year-old can and should be given a VSI, such as developmental delay, or other mental defect that might make a normal interview with difficult. Try to tell that to a states attorney, however, who will refuse to sit in on the interview. Oh, and child pschiatrists interviewing the alleged victim? Bullshit. They get some halfwit social worker wannabe who never heard a rape allegation they didn't beleive. Any policeman who is a parent, a good dick, perceptive and focused on details will do a better job at the interview than the fucking idiots at CCAC. Do not get me started...

Here are the approx. salaries a year of the FOP inside guys.
Donahue = $168,000 (salary) + 4,800 roll call money + 3,000 Duty Avail. + 1,800 Uniform Allowance + Pers. and BFD sell back at D8 (Chief's Pay)= Approx. $180,000 a year. This does not include the company car, gas, insurance, repairs, etc. He has an FOP credit card card for expenses.
Approx. Salary for the other 6 inside guys is $120,000 a year(salary), 4,800 roll call money, 3,000 Duty Avail. + 1,800 Uniform + Pers. and BFD sell back at D5 rate = $130,000 a year per guy, which equals $780,000 a year for them.
The grand total for the whole inside crew is approx. $980,000.
That's an outrage!! So they all go to roll and get paid for it, yet you still have outdated, non functioning equipment, no training/drills for disaster prep for all officers, the pension is disappearing along with your health insurance.
Who the hell is policing the FOP?

I stand corrected regarding the child sex cases (guess I should read my G.O.'s more). The CCAC is closed on 1st watch 7 days a week, and 3rd watch on weekends and holidays. Great schedule if you can get it.
I too, have been on the receiving end of them refusing a sex case because a hotline alleges physical and sexual abuse. It seems as if they pick and choose the cases they want to handle.
Good luck with the issue, though.
