I would really like to know what district is good to work in? 010 is full of goofs, 011 is full of sandbaggers, 015 is full of racists, 025 is full of prima donnas, 020 is full of nothing, 023 is full of men who love women who love men, 007, 006, 005 are full of thieves, 018 are the party police, on and on and on. I think all of you who bash other cops are full of shit.

I really believe they should let some of the old, and I mean old, retired cops back on the job. You gus would go home to mommy and daddy with tears in your eyes. Too many of you are the tavern or club police. You do not impress anyone except yourselves.
Oh yeah, the City loves this shit. Wait until contract time when City Hall pulls out all of these posts and gives them to the media. "Look at the Police Department. These are the guys who want a raise? Tax payers should pay for this crap?
You want to see the real police? Look for the few guys who come to work, actually do their jobs; whatever it takes to get the job done, and keep their yaps shut.

Big time going out in the 015 fiasco. Thirty days pending for a M/1 and M/2 and heavy time for the rest. Bosses may take a hit too.
This was a major embarassment to everyone involved. What is worse, evidently it could have been avoided. Animosity had been brewing for a long time and no one had the brains or balls to keep it from coming to a head.

I hate this site because I have over twenty years on the job, and have never seen such a bunch of rats and weasels. NO balls, sit through a roll call and get verbally attacked, not for me! A site to promote lies and rumors, which I believe is ran by SCC and his mother (attaboy!!). Crying about everything and doing nothing about it. I agree with 8/27/2006 05:04:28 AM. They can hire the same type of labor from Walmart and get better police officers.
Where are the marches and reverend at? Did the Park Forest police do something wrong by shooting this teen? I mean, he was armed with a pellet gun, right? There is no way that this teen would be trying to rob someone, I mean the teen in Cabrini would not even dare rob someone with a pellet gun.

Does anyone see the racial firestorm coming? Numerous "Racial Incidents" within the CPD, The Burge Report disclosure, marches in 18 and at City Hall and a primary election just 6 months away.
CFD not TO be left out, the "INFAMOUS FIREHOUSE PARTY VIDEO" may soon resurrect itself. The Black fireman who filmed and released it Ezra McCann has recntly been written up for having a full beard and ordered to shave it off. He refused to do so, stirring the pot up.
Unlike CPD there are no shaving profiles on CFD due to the fact that the air mask will not properly seal endangering a fireman's life.
CFD has a well liked Hispanic (orozco) at the helm replacing a not well liked Afro-American (Cortez Trotter). CPD now having a white (FAT Phil Cline) at eh helm replacing a status quo (Terry Hilliard) The African American community is demanding a "Black" Superintendant. Charlie Williams is making strong attempts to grab the reigns and is building a foundation to do so.
Maria Maher a Hispanic woman would ba an ideal candidate if it were not for her inadequacies ( micromanager, not well liked by brass or PO's, incompetent and the list goes on)
Hiram Grau another status quo Hispanic would be well suited but rumor has it there are some "ghosts" in the closet yet to arrise.
My bet is that Charlie WIlliams will get it as an appeasement to the African American community in an election year. He is also a "real YES SIR" man. Definitely a "ONEWAY Company Man" all the way, 16+ years in IAD. He is the epitome of the perfect political bureaucrat who has built a career on the misery of others beneath him.

I saw Sgt. John Nothern (ret.) a few weeks ago when he came into the station to chew the fat. He didn't look very good and when I inquired about his health he said all was fine and left. Maybe somebody from 018 can go to his home and check on him. Charlie Williams has been fucking with District Commanders, Watch Commanders and the rest. Why, because he can and it’s payback for the times he got his ass beat by cops as a kid on the west side.
He takes senior white lieutenants from districts with no word to the District Commanders and sends them on every night cross city commutes while leaving less senior and minority lieutenants. Why, ask him, if he says it is for the good of the department, you know he is lying. His micromanagement is the shinning example how CAPS is just smoke and mirrors.
God help us, the department and the city if he becomes superintendent. It would make LeRoy Martin look like a stand-up guy.
I agree if a black is the next Supe it will be Charlie Williams, I think he is the best choice of a black candidate. I personally like him, he is a sharp guy who i've seen take care of the workers when the d/c in area 4 letting chases go that have been called off, and he can be reasoned with regarding spars, crs, etc, dsoesn't play any racial games, takes cares of his people without regard to their skin color. I think he would be a good Supe, definetely better than the alternative, Maher, or whatever crazy pick the black community will try to annoint.
Anyone else having this problem? Was dropping off prisoner in 019 the other day and was informed the watch commander was having a workout and can't be bothered until finished. Waited almost an hour before she was done. Do we get paid to work out on duty? Isn't there a G.O. involving speedy processing of prisoners? I guess prisoners must wait while W.C. works up a sweat....

Her and her partner were in charge of the study for the state in reference to the 'sequential line up' being tested--they saw it for what it was, bull shite, and handled it accordingly.

As far as cameras in the Homicide (and all Area) interviews? Do you honestly think ANYONE wants cameras in there? If you think there is some kind of conspiracy to jam up dicks in the Areas with the cameras, you are again misinformed. NO ONE wanted them in there, it was simply Democratic legislature that demanded them as law. It was going to happen eventually, part of the pendulum swinging pro and then con in regards to law enforcement. It just fosters smarter policework. Word is, Williams will be the next Supt., if he WANTS the job. Charlie's been around over 33 years, I think, and he and Cline are close to the same age. Charlie might be a little worn out by now under his present position.
Hiram Grau has had his name mentioned in a certain female Sun Times reporter's column, being touted as a possible "future Supt."
Whichever one gets it (Williams or Grau), expect the other to be appointed as their 1st Deputy Supt.
It is assumed that at that moment, all powers of the 1st Deputy that were stripped from Starks will be immediately restored.
