Da Bears

That time again - anyone else going to the game? We know of at least a dozen coppers headed that direction tonight.

The keys? Constant defensive pressure and get the running game up early. The passing game looked good in the first three games, but without something to keep the pass rush honest and the down field coverage hesitant to leave their assignments, the Bears could get hammered bad.

UPDATE 2230 hours Sunday Night: And, we suppose, if everything goes good, the Bears could just hammer the crap out of Seattle. Geez, was that one of the most complete and thoroughly dominating performances we've seen come out of Chicago in a long time or what? ESPN coverage here.

Even with Shaun Alexander out, the Seahawks are still tough. They are NFC champs until someone beats them. This game will be a good test to see just how far along the Bears really are. I predict the Bears will win a close and hard fought game.

Looks like this is the open thread...

Todays Suntimes tries to push Chicago State "U." on white suburban kids:

"
Some kids from Catholic high schools commute as far away as Loyola --and pay $26,000 in tuition -- instead of going to CSU, which costs less than some are paying for high school.
"

My translation is that CSU (at 95th and MLK Dr) is the same s Loyola.

An advisory to our sensitive readers: If you can't absorb more bad housing news, avert your eyes.

Chicago home prices are about 20 percent overvalued, according to the latest chapter of an ongoing study by analysts at National City Bank and Global Insight, an economic-data analyst. A report from the Illinois Association of Realtors this week said the median single-family home in the nine-county Chicago area in August sold for $280,000.

Of course the "Chicago area" does Chicago-Joliet-Naperville and EVERYTHING in between....

to poster 128am. You can not carry the pistol in the stadium. You can maybe ask security [LOTS OF ODCPD]to put it in their safe . But even w/id and badge you won't be able to bring it in.GO BEARS

Who conducts the searches at Soldier Field? Are they pat downs or mags? What happens if they find someone in violation of the law?

Go Bears!!! I didn't think it would be this close of a game!! The Seahawks don't know what to do. And in primetime like this, the Bears are looking better and better!!!

Monterrey Security does the searches and will not permit any handguns in the stadium if they catch you. They will ask, then demand that you put it in one of their lock boxes in the office.

To 1134-
We all know that the medical section is a big mess and the only why to improve it is to start making your concerns/complaints heard. Talk to the Sgt, they have 2 of them down their and if that doesn't work or solve the problem ask to speak with the Inspector(he is a LT). Start making your voice heard and maybe that way we can it rid of the civ. help and get some real PO's down there and maybe PO with real time on the job. Not just off their 18 months.

MONTERREY SECURITY? The last time I looked Soldier Field was still in Chicago. You actually let some doornob shaker employed by some clout heavy security company disarm you? Pathetic.

GAYTAN? Yikes, do you think Soldier Field got told who to hire for Bears Security?

Have the GAYTANS made large "donations" to the local demscum party?

Gee, I wonder

WHAT A LAUGH. Monterrey Security "Won't permit" and handguns on police at Soldier Field. Who asked for their "permission"? The United States Congress "Permits" police to be armed, yup, even in Soldier Field>.
