Oh Lord, Please No.
- Competition to host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games could come down to Chicago vs. Los Angeles because the San Francisco 49ers apparently have pulled the rug out from their city's Olympic stadium plan.
The 49ers decision to stop negotiating with San Francisco -- and possibly move the team to Santa Clara -- left that city's Olympic bid in disarray. It sent San Francisco's delegation home from a two-day seminar with the U.S. Olympic Committee in utter confusion.
San Francisco's loss could be Chicago's gain. If San Francisco is forced to fold its Olympic tent, that would leave Chicago and Los Angeles as the only two cities vying for the right to be the USOC's choice.
San Fran dropping out, in our opinion, actually gives Chicago the inside track. LA hosted the games in 1984. The USOC may be loathe to have the same city hosting again. Of course, this is only to be the sole US representative in the bidding - Chicago could still lose out to a number of other international competitors, but the IOC likes to have the games on this side of the pond every 12 to 16 years, just because then they actually make money.

Never fear, Kool-Aid® here.
It's been a long time yet we've been busy @ KRAFT. Kool-aid® is looking forward to being the Official Sponsor of the Chicago Ghettolmpyics.
Although we've never heard of the Pole Vaulting over the Housing Project, Freestyle Driveby, Downhill Strong Armed Robbery Luge, and other events!
Right now we're manufacturing instruction booklets in over 500+ different languages on how to use the official Olympic Mace properly.
Kool-aid® is also concerned with our officers, and morale is a bit low right now. Which is why we're rolling out INVISIBLE-X, with portable sticks to use in Hot Chocolate and Coffee when the temperatures take a dive. You will feel the mind-blowing numbing effect within minutes, to keep with the holiday spirit.
Thanks for making Kraft a success this year.
Off topic, but with the recent video showing up on youtube.com of LAPD officers administering what is sure to be some well deserved "street justice" ladies and gentleman we have to practice CYA....In this day and age of technology be aware of your surroundings!! We have enough bad press without one of us getting jammed up over some P.O.S.....

no no no no no no no no no no
Just in time for retirement!!!!!
That will be a huge cluster f*ck
L.A. should get it for the simple reason thet this city dies NOT have enough Police Officers to handle a routine day, much less an
Olympics.
The U-tube video is from the Summertime. The most aggravating thing about the incident is that the two officers articulated in their reports that force was used and two previous investigations cleared the officers.
Then months later the video resurfaces and is seen by the general public at large..and then the OUTCRY and indignation against the officers begins again! Only now some "do-gooders" implore the FEDS to get involved and the officers are stripped and reassigned to desk duty.
This bullshit "second guessing and Armchair quarterbacking" the officers has to stop.
The FBI needs to investigate Terrorism and corrupt politicians.
When has the FBI had to wrestle with a resistive, asshole, subject?
Once or twice in a career maybe, not several times a week..like Police officers must do!!
Most FBI agents I have known are like Barney Miller on TV, leaving their handcuffs at the office in the desk, or in their briefcases.
THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BASH THE "G". However, they have a different mission than us "street cops" everywhere, and are quite frankly out of touch.Their arrogance is getting old. They would shit themselves if they had to get in a footchase followed by a struggle!
Lay of the cops please..Let us do our jobs without the undeserved scrutney!
LA has about 4000 fewer officers than us and a larger population. Don't you read anything? Their dept is in worse shape than ours
Pookie will make millions in theft, burglary, and other various pookylike scams.

What you didn't mention, probably because you don't know it, is that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's office also patrols the city, and, LAPD has police reserves to augment the department. On top of that, there is an LAPD school police department, as well as airport police.
Come on folks if we get the olympics think how pretty the city will look. Like Munich did in 1982
Hey we had the gay games, we don't need any mo stinkin olympics..
