I have been against the "reparations thing for as long as I can remember that being a topic." I, being a white republican, have now conceded to the other side. I now endorse the giving of ONE TIME reparations. ANY, yes, ANY, descendants of slaves can be repaid by the cost of 40 acres and a mule. Shit, give them the Dorothy Tillman $40K and a Lexus. African Americans nothing even thought an entire industry was formed on the backs of those enslaved. Also the amount of time the African Americans were enslaved and continued to enrich certain industries should be a debate on reperations.
Two items for your consideration, 1) Ald Tilman was not arrested for prostitution, 2) if you do your research you'll find out that unlike so many of here aldercreatures she has continuely stood up for us, the police. "If you shoot at the police, you should be shot".
Certainly no one is saying that all blacks are "Savages". However when the argument of reparations as an answer is brought up it begs a mutitude of additional questions. First; why should this generation pay for sins of the past - If that is the case then The Romans owe me for taking over Germany, The French owe me for taking over Germany, The English owe me for taking over Germany; etc... Secondly; If we are talking of making things right, how can reparations not include re-patriotation. Pay them for the injustice and then send them back.
