Food Poisoning Event

Getting a couple of reports about the recent American Knights Motorcycle Club Christmas dinner. For those unaware, the club is made up of police officers and they do a number of charity rides for different events and they've done a lot of fundraising (full disclosure - we've bought numerous tickets).

It seems about half of the attendees have come down with some nasty food poisoning. Is it just us or does it seem there are quite a few of these outbreaks occurring lately? The spinach scare; packaged salads being pulled; Taco Bell. What's going on out there?

I'm not sure if it's the same incident, but a group of coppers had a christmas party at "the villa", and many got sick, several are in the hospital.

I know quite a few of these “Motor-Cycle types” .. The call each other “Club Brothers” and actually kiss each other on the lips. A few say they would go to hell and back for each other (even go to prison to cover up there few idiot ‘brother’ who did something stupid)

It sounds to me like guys like this never got breast feed by their mommys or their old man left home when they were 4 years old and never talked to them.

I just don’t get it, it’s just like the mentality of Hispanic gangbangers. My advise.. Be a lone rider in life.. if you have REAL family TAKE CARE OF THEM not you hillbilly “Club Brothers”.

Terrorists, drugs, etc; aren't the only thing that comes in illegally over our borders. All sorts of illegal people with BAD diseases are here among us right now, and still coming. Our elected leaders are sworn to protect us from all this stuff, but don't. Forget all this for the sake of power and the almighty vote. Maybe we should put them in another Country, permenantly for selling us down the drain.
In the meantime, take 2 Asprins and call your Doctor in the morning. Hillary, Obama, Stroger Jr. and Daley will save us all anyway, right?

Yo, don't dis da club at Lavergne & Lake.

Many of the Rush St. crowd now prefer to drive seven miles west to where it really rocks.

Last week, Jessica Simpson stopped by and said we've "got it goin' on".

We still serve foie gras and nearly 100 brands of domestic and imported beers.

Don't miss the holiday wine and cheese tasting this weekend. We will be featuring champagne, Pinot Noir, brie and Camembert.

Nudity optional. Free parking.

Coming up in January:
*Cuban cigar night.
*Beluga caviar tasting.
*Mazola Festival.
*Zebra parties.
*011 vs. 015 Paintball Playoff.
*"World's Greatest SuperBowl Party.

Must have not seen the man law comercial of toasting their bottles together and their saliva at the top of the bottles mate together thus causing their vial body fluids to exchange from one and another.

Hey, These are a good bunch of guys. Don't disrespect them they do good things and good work. To think that this incident might have been done on purpose is a travesty and needs to be addressed. Any time a group of OUR law enforcement officers are comprimised like this it should make John Q. Public feel that much more vulnerable, Because if they do this to the Police what do you think will happen to you Jon Q. ???

I have been to many events at La Villa, Christmas parties, promotion parties, 17th District Old Timers Reunions and never had a problem. Any restaurant can have a bad day.

Where I have had a bad day about two weeks ago was Ed Debevick's on Onterio Street. I use to work in the 18th and it was a good place when it first opened up. I stopped in there with my family late on a recent Saturday night, when everything in the area was crowed and everyone was real hungry.

First clue this was going to be bad, it cost $7.00 to park, I would have fled but everyone was miserably hungry.

The decor was unchanged from years, but somehow now seemed dingy, like the lights were not all working. We had to move our seats becuase of a severe draft. The singing and the staff jokes were very lame and our being tired didn't help our mood.

While we were seated, there was an announcement that they were closing. The staff was more concerned with end of shift activities than the customers. The food was uninspired and arrived cold as our waiter was doing other things. I should have sent it back, but for the hunger and feeling rushed by their closing.

It was one of the few zero stars meals I have ever had. The next two days we all had lower G.I. problems. Was it from Ed's, can't be sure, but I don't think I willl ever go there again.

Hand washing is almost obsessive/compulsive to me, but I have also started to carry those small bottles of hand sanitizer with me. No cop should be without it.

To "notweirdo" what they rejected you and wouldn't let you in their club huh?

To "dr. pepto-bismol" I think your the one who's "soft". Atleast that's wht's your girlfriend is telling everyone.

Hey not weirdo and dr pepto,

you two are soft hillbillies, who teabag each other. American Knights do big time charity work for gold star families and help out the children of fallen cops by giving out scholarships. You think you've got balls, I bet the smallest guy in that club could beat the shit out of both of you at the same time. Don't talk shit about the guys who help us out or our families. What have you done for the gold star families?

You two are jagoffs.

You hillbilly wantabe narcotics a-holes should get a haircut, shave, and look into tattoo removal for Christmas!

By the way, Daddy’s not coming home again for X-mas so you will probably get sad, depressed and really drunk again as you flip your bikes.. please don't take it out on your "Old Lady" or kids just because 'smooth' didn't come back from his drinking binge.
