Who Cares?

  • Gov. Jeb Bush suspended all executions in Florida after a medical examiner said Friday that officials botched the insertion of the needles during the execution of a convicted killer earlier this week. Dr. William Hamilton, who performed the autopsy, said that the execution of Angel Nieves Diaz took 34 minutes - twice as long as usual - and required a rare second dose of lethal chemicals because the needles were inserted straight through his veins and into the flesh in his arms. Hamilton refused to say whether he thought Diaz died a painful death.
Hell, if we had our way, the execution would have taken at least twice as long and would have been guaranteed to be EXTREMELY painful. What's the point of executing someone as a deterrent all that happens is you go into a deep sleep and never wake up? Back in the day, people weren't eager to smell their own flesh burning on Old Sparky; people were scared to face the gallows 8 foot drop; criminals were frightened of a firing squad missing all your vital organs while you were tied to a pole. It was unpleasant to say the least when the blade came slicing through your neck while a crowd cheered.

Now you inflict horrors on other human beings and all that happens is you go off into a happy place of blissful unawareness before you never wake up? Screw that. We'd rather the jagoffs go out in an untold nightmare of psychotic pain and brutality before begging to be put out of their misery. The death penalty is as much about society's vengeance as it is about justice. And if that's bloodthirsty of us, too damn bad.

OFF TOPIC

To the dear (possibly visting) SERGEANT outside a/2 on 15DEC06 approx. 23:00 hrs.

m/1/40's, 5'8 260

As a witness to the event, I found it amusing that a p/o would ask if you were the r-man, and found it even funnier that you got offended by it. Perhaps if you weren't wearing a raggity jacket with a baseball cap, he wouldn't have made that assumption. (Can't SERGEANTS afford better?) SERGEANT, if you want to be identified as such, especially outside the station, some identifying items (star, cap, id, etc.) might make the job easier.

But it was helpful that you showed the PPO he was with what a douchebag supervisor looks like. He didn't have much time on the street yet, and it was great to have a visual example.

Sincerely,

Silent Witness

I agree 100%. This is why our jails are full, our ever merciful society needs to be humane and benevolent to those who violate the rules of society by committing crimes against humanity and breaking laws at will. Our laws need to be changed, let the punishment fit the crime. The only people in jail should be those of a non-violent nature and those with some hope of rehabilitation. People that kill, violate children and commit severe violent acts against others should be immediately executed upon a verdict of guilty. Screw the appeals, it seems the more violent and frequent the crime the more consideration you get. Society says don't just kill one person kill 20, then you'll have twenty appeals and stay alive longer while the tax payers house you, feed you and provide you with a t.v., books and exercise. HMMmmm

How much does a lethal injection cost taxpayers? All so a murdering p.o.s. can die a quick, painless, and peaceful death? Did the victims have a choice, were their constitutional rights considered when they were brutalized? I happen to know a 20ft. piece of rope from Home Depot costs about $18 and the best part about it, is you can use it over and over

Obviously I'm a strong supporter of the death penalty. It's unbelievable that there are people who argue against taking the life of someone who has murdered an innocent. All the "wonderful" Liberals who fought for Tookie Williams looked solely at what he did in the last few years of his life in prison - the children's books, and his writings. What they always overlook is what the killer did to his victims. I guess it is much easier for people to support people like Tookie Williams, Mumia and this current subject (now, burn in Hell!) - Angel Nieves Diaz - and know that their support for them is merely a facade. They'd rather support the criminal than decry the crime. They'd rather do that than face the families of those who were murdered. The voices of the murdered are silenced. The only voice the murder victims have are the police.

Angel Nieves Diaz murdered Joseph Nagy in 1979 during a robbery at a bar. He was on death row since 1986 - Angel Nieves Diaz had 20 years of living while Joseph Nagy's family and friends had 20 years of agony. Mumia murdered Officer Daniel Faulkner. The LibTards in Paris, France made Mumia a citizen of France and named a boulevard after him.

The favorite argument of the Liberals against capital punishment is that we're taking too great a risk in sentencing someone to die because there is a chance that they're innocent. They say that society benefits from saving that 1 in a thousand innocent person. I too believe that society should protect the innocent - that's why we should kill those who murder. That is truly the only way to protect the innocent. How many times have murders gotten out of prison then killed again? Plenty.

In 1974, Clarence Ray Allen ordered a 17-year-old young woman, Mary Sue Kitts, murdered because she knew of Allen's involvement in a Fresno, California, store burglary.

After his 1977 trial and conviction, Allen was sentenced to life without parole.

According to San Francisco Chronicle columnist Debra Saunders, "In Folsom State Prison, Allen cooked up a scheme to kill the witnesses who testified against him so that he could appeal his conviction and then be freed because any witnesses were dead -- or scared into silence." As a result, three more innocent people were murdered -- Bryon Schletewitz, 27, Josephine Rocha, 17, and Douglas White, 18.

Recently we saw the local case of James Ealy, who was clearly guilty of murdering Kristina Parker, 33, her two daughters Mary Anne, 15, and Cora, 12, and Mary Anne's 3-year-old son, Jontae. Ealy also molested the boy before killing him. Ealy, released by a Liberal appeals court, went on to kill again. My heart breaks for the family of Mary Hutchinson. She did absolutely nothing but go to work that day and ended up strangled by someone who should have been killed by the State of Illinois 10 years ago.

Click here for an article by Dennis Prager, here for an article by George Will and here for background on James Ealy.

It is the Liberal, anti-Death Penalty crowd who have innocent blood on their hands.

ps. It always made me smile to hear that Ted Bundy wimpered and cried when Sheriffs Deputies pushed and packed his rectum with vaseline and cotton prior to his execution. Happy Days, Teddy! :-)

You guys and the authors of the Eighth Amendment are a bunch of pussies.

The naked condemned should be lowered to the sharpened vertical tip of a ten foot pike with rectal entry.

Let gravity do its job with pay-per-view television. A split screen with both an overall view and the features of the condemned should prove the ultimate deterrent to the blood-thirsty psychopaths that infest America.

The condemned will be given the option of being drawn and quartered.

As a last perk, convicted politicians could also opt for the guillotine in a public square at high noon.

On second thought, politicians will be dispatched on the pike exclusively. The cadavers will be left on the pike for public viewing for at least 72 hours after death.

This posting suggests hanging. I'm all for it. Another suggestion an eight man firing squad. Two-three rounds to the head should suffice. Or how about this: two aim for the head; two aim for the heart; and if there was any sexual component associated with the crime the other two aim for the crotch. The other two would shoot blanks to satisfy the liberals.

How hilarious that Tank Johnson's "bodyguard" who got smoked last night in front of Ice Bar was the same piece of shit who got locked up for felony weed when the police raided Tank's house.

The neighbors were fed up with him and his boys shooting off guns in the back yard.

I am sure he was a stand up guy, minus the PCS and UUW Felon arrests.

Good riddance you piece of shit!

It is my personal belief that Tank Johnson had his bodyguard, William Posey, set up for assassination. Johnson now has the ability to blame his "friend" for all the contraband that was recovered at his home. Phone records from all of Johnson's phones should be performed to establish who and when he has been calling over the last two days.

SCC, you're absolutely right. Do you know who criminals fear. Us. Because most of us will drop the pricks in a heartbeat given the opportunity. No one shot to the thigh, or abdomen, either; I have sixteen rounds and I'm using them all. When I hear these coppers chasing a "man with a gun" I cringe at the thought of yet another Gold star family might be seconds away. They fear us. Let's keep it that way.

Sorry to get off topic but what the F#@K is with the Hardwood Heights P.D. ? My daughter was stopped for a minor traffic offense. Upon approaching the vehicle the officer must have observed the F.O.P. stickers on the car The officers openning statement was to tell my daughter not to say a word about her parents being the police and she was getting a ticket. Thats a real great way to start a traffic stop with a 16 year old, Real professional. If they are going to write the ticket it's their choice, my kid violated the law but to bring up the police parent is to rub it in my face and make it personal. If they feel the need to address a problem with the C.P.D. all they need to do is borrow my kids phone and call me. I would gladly meet them to address this. But I forgot, It's easy to F#@k with a 16 year old. But even after this, I would still extend myself to all of my fellow officers and their families, no matter where they work. Be safe.

After attending the DOC meeting, it's becoming pretty obvious that the heat is coming heavy on the homicide count being higher than last year (13 more as of Friday afternoon). They really went after Area 2 commanders for very nitpicking points on contact cards, implying that this is why the homicide count is higher. Beware Area 4, you're next on the hit parade, the other Area with an increase in homicides.

I can tell you for sure there are no hoody wearers in TRU, and they are inspected pretty regularly, the Sgts. don't allow it either so probablt from another unit I guess.
