The Hat is a perfect example of why we need term limits for Aldercreatures. BTW, what is her daughter going to do if she loses? She will be unemployed. Matlak gave the go ahead for developers to destroy so many beautiful & historically significant buildings. That whole area is now bland, overdeveloped & full of disgusting condos.

Then, our W.C. related a sergeant was stripped because he was seen taking cigars on video tape at a local store and stuffing them in his shirt pocket without paying for them. Both are good districts. 025 is bigger and more diverse clientele. 011 is smaller and trial by fire….busy, busy, busy. Good working coppers in both districts. Both are Areas, so he will meet a lot of good people. If he is a quick learner and wants to be aggressive, I would say 011. If he wants to ease into it but still be just as busy, 025 is the way to go. There are good and average FTO’s in both districts.

I can't speak for the 11th district, however, I can only imagine it is similar to 15....dope, domestic, dope, domestic, hot car, dope, domestic, dope, domestic, person w/gun, dope, domestic, dope, domestic, mental.
025 is more diverse. Many different types of jobs, thus, a well rounded training. Downside to 025....It was built over a cemetry, and is cursed. Also, the supervision absolutely sucks.
As for FTO's....
Days: Bullock (knowledgable, laidback) Soferi (very knowledgable, but to serious)
Midnights: only FTO is Rix (Good guy, but naps alot)
Afternoons: Cavianni (knowledgable, follows all rules, will keep busy) Lopez (Knowledgable, will hunt, trades rules for common sense).
As 025 has few FTO's, here is a list of other PO's to work with:
Iramaya (1st): likes to keep moving.
Gregory (1st): likes to hunt.
Oppedasiano (1st): likes to hunt.
Young (2nd): goofey, but fun.
Mieziak (2nd): laid back, knowledgable.
McMillon (3rd): will have him laughing the entire tour.
Masheimer (3rd): gets the most fucked-up jobs, but knows how to handle them.
Knaiz (3rd): goofey, but likes to work, and knows his shit.
In all fairness, just tell your brother to try and have a good time. If he fucks up, he has to do it over. So what? He still gets paid!
After all, the whole idea is just to enjoy yourself, isn't it?
Sidenote: 025 is a legacy district...most po's sent there have family on the job.

To the original poster. I hate to say it, but your brother will probably be working with some of the jackasses that answered your post. The good part is that he will have a first hand look at how a copper with less than 10 years on can drive away his friends, family, pay child support, and all the other things that come from being bitter. It's a good job regardless of what some say.
Truth be told if your unable to get out of patrol this is a fucked up job your brother will see the nasty fucked up shit that happens in the real world, he will never forget.Police work in the patrol division is dangerous he will be injured.

I know you Bob and you use hair gel because your loosing your hair However never mind that Bob you should not be training anyone as your a nut case and you will sitting at the side of your bed eating the gun when you have to retire. Dulay get off the board! Dulay is a mean spirited weasel he had fucked over numerous Police officers. Dulay was abusive to the officers in 14.and when Dulay left it was party time.

fto BOB is a better FTO then most. He is a different personality, to be sure. However, he cares about his recruits, and trys to involve them in as many opportunities to learn and experiance this job as possible.
Does he hunt? No
Does he work? Yes
FTO's do not teach you "the" way to do this job, they teach you "a way" to do this job.
Would yo have rather had FTO D. Johnson at 025? Would you have learned more by sitting on a noise disturbance for 2 hours? Sitting alone in the squad, in front of a liquor store at north and central, for 2 hours? Sitting alone in the squad, in front of a hooker's house, for an hour? Driving around while your FTO slept for 4 hours?

However your wrong about Bob C he is dangerous! does stupid shit , for no reason just to show off. Bob almost got me hurt a few times I stay the hell away from him. I must admit that I did not have Bob for an FTO. I like Bob as a person, because we often bitch about the same things, and have similar concerns when it comes to the department, and the training process for PPO's. I hear him often on the radio voluntering to take jobs (my recruit has a full pen of ink, squad...), so at least I can assume he is trying to involve his PPO's in as much as possible.
As far as Bob being poorly regarded while he was on 2nd watch...would you have rather had Borgini? The only thing you would learn is how to lock up guys drying cars at the car wash, and the names of every dog on 24's beat.
Still, as I said earlier, I didn't have Bob as an FTO. If you say he is dangerous, I must defer to your experience. I always figured when he went "over the top" he did so in order to get some recognition for his PPO for doing a good job. Positive reinforcement is very rare in 025, as you must know.
As far as Bob being a softball, If you truely know who I am, then you know I have no business commenting on that. Likewise, I can't comment on him being a whiner, as I do plenty of that myself at times.
I give any copper that trys to do this job alot of credit, because dog asses disgust me.
Besides, I've learned alot more on this job from fixing my fuck-ups then I have from watching other coppers do police work.
However, putting another copper, especially a PPO, in harms way, I can't defend that.

It was Sgt Gawne from personnel who did all the calling for investigative portion of the sgt promtion (is he really a jag? I heard) He left a message there has been a change in schedule. It makes me wonder, if he did all the notifications there can't be more then 50 or so promotions. Any guess?
Sgt. E.Boone is a damnned good policeman, great range guy and just good people all the way around. Whatever little side thing he had with Tillman was above board and pretty common. By the way for you young guys and ladies on the job, the term "real police" came from a not so long ago era in certain neighborhoods when an African-American P.O. was dispatched to the home of a White person, they would call PO5-1212 and tell the dispatcher to send me the "real police". Whatever alderdman took the loser's place will be immediately morphed into whatever Daley wants. Chicago politics, self perpetuating.
