Here we go. The new era begins. Can you feel it? At least now, if Griese screws up, it's all on the rest of the offense. Updates to follow.
HALFTIME UPDATE: 7-3? Hmmm
UPDATE: These guys blow. Where to lay the blame? Obviously, it wasn't ALL Grossman. There is no running game at all. Griese produced more yardage, but three interceptions, two of them at the goal line, were killer. The secondary played all second stringers if we aren't mistaken. The only two highlights worth mentioning were Hester again and Griese's pushing the Bears down field in the fourth quarter. Granted, the Detroit safeties were playing way out there to prevent the big play, but moving the ball without using a timeout was impressive. Too bad the onside kick blew up in their faces.
Going into Green Bay at 1 and 3? They're leaving Green Bay 1 and 4.

Remember me? I predicted Bears to be 1 and 2 with Griese starting the 4th game. Because of the injuries to the Bears defense. I predict the Lions to win 30 to 17. I hope I'm wrong. Either way its going to be a long agonizing season. Thanks alot Angelo.

SCC - this is completely off topic, but no where else to go -
Anyone have the hmo dental plan - and like their dentist? With open enrollment coming up soon, I'm thinking about switching from PPO to HMO. The cost to get anything done with PPO (paying 40% out of pocket; 60% covered) is getting to be a bit much.
Any insight much appreciated. Thanks.
Two of three Grieses 'intercepts' were dropped or missed catches by the offense. I give him credit for (1) bad throw though.

This team has a lot more problems then just at quarterback. Cedric Benson has so far shown nothing. The Bears should have kept Thomas Jones. Why not give Devin Hester a shot in the back field? Musin Muhammad's best years are behind him. Suddenly, the offensive line is showing their age, (the oldest line in the NFL). Plus receivers that can't catch balls that are thrown right in their hands or thrown right to the numbers(Berrian and Muhammad). I only saw part of the game, but where is Greg Olsen? Why is he not playing? Is he hurt? It looks to be a long year.
The HMO dental plan sucks! My dentist told me that he wouldn't even take the HMO because it was so shitty.

I looked long and hard last year for desent Dentists who would take the HMO.
Unless you want to see a Dentist in Engelwood or some other back alley dentist forget the HMO plan.
But your right our Dental plans SUCK big time. I wonder if the Alderfolks and the Mayor use the same plans? NOT!

I did the HMO dental plan. The dentist brushed my teeth with a normal tooth brush and gave me a cup of scope to rinse. It was awful. Went back to the PPO plan where they actually scrape the plaque off our teeth. Yes, it costs more, but it's worth it.
Next week Green Bay 100 Bears 0! Fuck the bears they are done, nice season lovie! Bring back a great coach ala DITKA!
