A couple of outside blogs have started picking up on Congress-asshat Davis's bullshit "racial profiling" story.

A reader over at GlockTalk noted that to voice your displeasure with Danny Davis, you have to actually have a address in Davis's congressional district. Otherwise, your e-mail is rejected because Danny doesn't want to hear from you. An ingenious way around this restriction?

Although I do thank you for posting the infor regarding conacting this POS, FYI, his district does not include Wrigley Field. Is district ends at Armitage which would include the more lberal area of Linlcon Park and Old Town.
It does not include Wrigley Field, but if you wish you can use the beloved address of US Cellular Field since it does fall within his district
Wrigley of course is 1060 W Addison but the district ends at Armitage.

This incident with Danny Davis is another reason why cameras should be in the cars. There is no doubt in my mind that the incident did not occur in the way that Davis said it did. Cameras would have erased all doubt, and this race baiter would never have made this allegation if the traffic stop was caught on film.

Why dont they have mandatory retirement age for these alderman and congressmen? I am sick of seeing 75 year old asswads still making and defending laws. The longest running city alderman is like 74 years old. This month he broke the record for lenghth of service. At the meeting he told the press and daley retiring is " for the weak. nobody should retire" Wow why do cops have to retire then?

OFF TOPIC. The Cook County States Attorneys office feels an administratively ordered BAC is admissible in criminal court. There has been an appellate court ruling somewhere in the state they believe allows these results into evidence. I was just told by an ASA I know that it's not automatic, but there is legal precedence. They would have to argue for the results to be admitted into criminal court and a judge would have to make the decision. The ASA I spoke to said nobody at 26th Street has ever done that yet, but the recent incidents involving officers has people talking. Their office is under the impression any administartive BAC results have a chance, could be small, but a chance of coming into criminal court.
Cameras would have done nothing. THe cameras do not record until you acticate your lights, which by this point he had already gone left of center.

Funny story about Danny D, i was assigned a polling place in 025 about six years ago, when he shows up to "check on things". Danny walks in and starts shaking hands etc. Mind you he is with a young gal and he is standing there in his suit with his zipper down and the bottom of his dress shirt was sticking out of his pants. He also had wet sunflower seeds stuck on some of his clothes. I thought he was a local wino and had to ask one of the polling judges, as to who he was! The best was when I saw him start talking to a voters, where pieces of sunflower seeds were sprayed everywhere, everytime he opened his mouth. It was funny watching people shaking off those wet seeds.

I wrote the following and posted it on Mr. davis's site. As you stated, without the entire zipcode including the last four, you cant get into the site.
Congressman Davis. I am appalled that you would try to slander the hard working Police Officers in our town. The Chicago Police Department put their life in danger to protect us and you go on television to play the race card. Where you were driving happens to be black within 1 mile in all directions. Im sure the police were not out looking a black congressman to issue a ticket. Take responsibility for your actions and fight the ticket in court as the rest of us would. We will never be able to get out of this terrible race card playing game if people such as yourself in positions of respect and authority don’t stop the madness. Once you activate your emergency equipment ie;roof lights,mars lights, blue lights, what ever you want to call them. The camera automatically downloads to the hard drive aprrox 40 seconds of recording prior to the officer activating said equipment. That in car carmera is always recording but only saves the footage to the hard drive when the emergency equipment is activated . So yes the race baiter traffic violation would of been caught on camera if the officer immediately activated the equipment once he/she observed the violaton. Trust me the cameras are not that bad you just have to remember you are being audio and videoed. In this case the camera would of worked out in behalf of the p.o.'s.

It has already been used against a P.O. from 018 not at 26th & Cal but at traffic court. I saw the motion hearing and despite what we have always been told it was admitted.

Absolutely not true. The cameras are always active. Once you activate the Mars lights, the digital technology of the system jumps back and records/saves the 30 seconds prior to the blue lights being turned on to allow for the violation to be recorded as well. All the systems are geared that way.

You are wrong about the video camera systems. Most of the systems (including the system in use by CPD) are always recording. When you activate your lights (or on some models when an impact occurs with the squad car) the recorder writes the previous 5 seconds of recordings to disk and continues recording until the lights are turned off.
He would have still made his allegations, but, with a dashboard video record, he'd be BUSTED.

FROM STNG WIRE REPORTS
An officer was injured near Soldier Field after falling from his horse Sunday evening during the Bears game.
About 6 p.m., an officer with CPD’s Mounted Unit doing crowd control at the Bears game was injured when his horse lifted its head and struck him in the face, causing him to fall, police News Affairs Sgt. Eugene Mullins said.
The officer was taken from Soldier Field, located at 1410 S. Museum Campus Dr., to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition with lacerations to his face and a possible broken nose, Mullins said.
What caused the horse to lift its head is unknown, Mullins said.
A Central District captain said the horse was separated from the officer somehow, but no further information on the animal was available as of 8 p.m.
