- An apparent personal delivery at work led to an arrest and a court date for a clerk at the Cook County public defender's office. Lamour Holloway, 40, was arrested Tuesday after she allegedly accepted a large package of marijuana and then half an hour later put the package into a vehicle outside the government building at 69 W. Washington, according to Andy Conklin, spokesperson for the Cook County state's attorney.

Cook County Public Defender Edwin Burnett said his office supported Holloway but noted it was up to a judge to determine whether the public defender's office would represent her if she goes to trial.
"[Holloway] has been a valued employee, and we're concerned first of all for her welfare," Burnett said.

Perhaps Da Mayor, Yurkel and "Big Balls" Beavers could close the City and County budget gaps by setting up a minority outreach program to legalize the sale and consumption of dangerous narcotic substances (including glue) in the 'hood.
All that needs be done to make the drug-zone a reality is to build a limited access sixteen-foot-high blast wall around the North Lawndale, Garfield, and Austin 'hoods. Many talented and enthusiastic individuals from the community-at-large are ready, willing, and able to heed the call to work for the betterment of their community. The world-class medical and social facilities necessary to support such an enterprise are already in place. Another bonus is the fact the proposed drug-zone is already served by the clean, fast, and efficient CTA.
Thus the leaders of our great City and County can give the "peeps" what they really want and rightfully deserve: a stable, profitable, government-sponsored minority enterprise. Next, "We the People" (i.e., the rest of us) can watch in awe and wonderment as Da Mayor, Jerkel and "Big Balls" send their army of cronies in to collect the City and County's share of the proceeds to fund all the region's wonderful and ever-growing entitlement programs. Who needs casinos and tax hikes when we have this untapped resource right in our own back yard? Me thinks the '16 Olympics would be a "sure thang" if we get this baby in place.
Hell, the City and County Crooks could even let Jessie's son have an exclusive beer distributorship franchise in the free-zone...oh that's right, he already has that.
