There is works on a peaceful march of gunowners/FOID holders in Chicago.
We need volunteers to help set it up.
The goal is to have 1,000,000 FOID holders downtown in front of City hall saying no more gun bans.

The legit gun owners OBEY all the laws and are NOT the problem. We do not need anymore registrations, or county fees, etc.
Old man Daley started this crap almost three decades ago to register all handguns and allow no more gunshops in the city. It was a total failure!
More guns were purchased outside of the city limits than ever before.
The legit owners were the only ones to register.
The silly gun court did nothing but destroy your gun if it was found, no gangsters going to jail in Chicago. No sir!
If junior mayor was smart, he would allow ALL firearms to be registered at $25.00 a pop. This would be the new CASH COW for the city treasurer. Any current or retired officer would pay zip.
If this new county law is passed, the legit will not turn in their firearms and you will just drive people to go further out to purchase them.
I can go into a hardware store in Hammond and buy one after the three day wait. No big deal.
It's better to have people register what they have ($$) and collect the dough, than to pretend they don't exist.

Yea,1:49pm I worry about the funding of the pension. Were covered to carry
under the Federal bill;but Im assuming u took the time to qualify. But what if that bill gets overturned and u use a gun in your house to defend yourself and u live in a nogun zone? U'll wind up spending your life savings to stay out of prison. Or u can let the thug kill u and not have to worry bout it.

You have my sympathy guy if you think Cook Co/Chicago are the ultimate authority in the universe. If the public good that you and the thugs running Cook/Chicago espouse require that I die as a victim to satisfy your whims then you and the public good be damned, I'll have no part of it.
You're right about too many guns out there though. The real problem is the guns aren't in the right people's hands. Law abiding citizens have bare hands while the bg's bear arms. Maybe if Illinois joined the rest of the country and passed a CCW law the Cook Co crime problem would solve itself.

Maybe a bad example: I was refering
to the protests/political-media heat over justifiable Police force;
whereas there's nothing over thugs shooting a child in the head,even if the parents are dealers.
As far as the gun issue goes, the whore liberals have been shoving down my throat my whole life that we'll let a 100 guilty people go free rather than convict 1 thats innocent. I say its better to have

Actually, not so poor an example, as, if the adults dealing dope had been well armed, maybe the child would not be dead and we'd see several dead gangsters.
And, would there be a reason for this home invasion, were there not so much money involved in the dealing in prohibited substances?
Said money being the direct result of prohibitory laws artificially inflating the values of that which is prohibited, but in demand by consumers?

Just saw Suffredin's commercial, bragging about how he rammed the 'assault weapons' ban down our throats and how he'll shut down all gun shops in crook county.
Somebody ought to point out to 'Toupee Larry' that a black toup doesn't match a gray beard...... especially a badly fitted toup....
So whats the problem with the coming gun ban in the County? Police only really need just "one" duty weapon. All others are not necessary. Only guns nuts need more guns. You will just have to drive out of the county to buy your weapon.

per box,& .38 100rd box $15......

The goal is to get 10-20% of those numbers at the location. 100-200 law abding gunowners/FOID holders downtown would make a strong statement.
The numbers are there to make something big. If 100,000 folks showed up during a weekday downtown for that, I think things like these gunbans would die off.
Honestly, if 1 million FOID holders showed up, it would be a awesome event. That would be a site to see right infont of city hall.
