The international wires are humming. Something good may have happened this week:
- Twelve suspected militants died in a missile strike on a home in northwestern Pakistan on Tuesday, officials said.
The attack occurred after midnight in Khushali Torikhel, a village in North Waziristan, a tribal region bordering Afghanistan, an intelligence and a government official in the region said.
There was no immediate official confirmation of the attack. The two officials who spoke did so on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to make media comments.
Pakistan has been trying to tamp down on militancy in its border regions, where elements of Al Qaeda and the Taliban are believed to operate.
Pakistani intelligence sources say they believe a "high-value" al Qaeda target was killed in a missile strike yesterday in the country's tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
U.S. officials said there was no indication that the target was Osama bin Laden or his deputy Ayman al Zawahri, but one senior official told ABCNews.com the strike was aimed at one particular figure

Sounds like our Military's doing a hell of a job and winning. But u couldn't tell by media reports.

Great party last nite guys and gals! Stache Bash 2008 From 008 was great. Nice to see a whole watch come together for alittle fun and comradery. Heavens to god the mustaches were a plenty!!!! Once again, great time. Good time had by all. Magnum PI, john candy, super troopers, elmer fudd, goose, and the whole bunch made the nite hilarious. Great to see the bosses out there too!. The media DOES NOT show what our military is accomplishing dailey in Iraq. Shame on them but what do we really expect? My sons have been over in the "sandbox" numerous times. They are very upset, as well as many more, about the way the USA media protrays what is going on there. Many accomplishments have happened due to our military and many more will come IF the dems don't get into office. Just say a prayer for our guys/gals who are serving our country. A shame we can't send the media ASShats there for a week with nothing but a gun. Let's see how fast they run home to their "Mommas".

Try to stop drinking the Hillary Kool-Aid for a minute and turn off CNN. Talk to a soldier. Look at all the great things you have going for you in this country. Look at history. We'd all love to live in a utopian society where we talk to magic dragons and sprinkle fairy dust around but guess what? We don't!!! We have to protect our interests and unfortunately, sometimes go to war to do so. It's been that way for the last 200 years. If people like you have your way, we won't make another 200!
It would be great but it doesn't seem to be true. However, what is terrifying is this mood sweeping the country that we must pull out of Iraq. You see, this is the problem that comes when we don't push history as the major topic in schools. All one has to do is look at Europe. Europe is being over run by radical Islamic extremist and people are afraid to speak up for fear of being called racist. Umm, sound like anywhere else we know? Recent events like the war is Bosnia/Kosovo, the islamic riots in France, Germany, and Belgium, are just the precursor of what's to come. Many Americans are to concerned about getting their government check to ever give notice to something global occurring. And now we have someone like Obama promising more and more government money for everyone and a quick pull out of Iraq. This all resembles Europe pre WWII. Weak leaders like Chamberlin refused to see the danger and America could care less about anywhere else. If not for Roosevelt allowing Pearl Harbor to occur, Germany would have won long before the United States considered entering the War. Hitler was furious with the Japaneses for bringing us into the war.
I honestly believe there needs to be changes to our voting laws. You must have at least a high school diploma to vote and every citizen must pass a real exam on history to graduate. Then, each citizen must spend a year in some form of public service, all this before you ever get the chance to vote. Otherwise the ranks of the uneducated, generational welfare recipients will continue to grow and negatively impact elections as they currently do in almost every major city. How easy is it to get elected by promising a free lunch as long as you vote for me. And all along the ugly head of repression, this time in the form of radical islam, is sneaking up on us all. But we are to busy feeding at the public troff to notice. Wake up America!!!

That's exactly the same criteria the Third Reich implemented in National Elections in 1934.

It must be nice to just make shit up and you must be a democrat because when you don't like something said or someone speaking, you label it, you criticize it, but do you offer an intelligent argument for or against? No, because you can't!!! And for your information my reform proposal is not identical to any Nazi voting regulations. I exclude no group, sex, race, religion, no one but those with out the desire to complete a high school education and to give one year of public service.. Wow, what a fascist..In fact Germans from every economic level, education level, and from across Germany voted for Hitler primarily because of the world wide depression and they're displeasure with restrictions on Germany after WWI. Wow, I can't believe how much you got under my skin with this..Since you're a history major then you also know the Nazis were the first to put a jet fighter into action and we stole much of their jet and rocket technology and their scientist. So based on your intelligent argument we should now take the star off of all our fighters and replace them with the iron cross. The same with NASA and the space shuttle.
