Laski v Daley
As a maverick alderman, then city clerk, Jim Laski was a constant thorn in Mayor Daley's side. Now that Laski has been released from prison and written a tell-all book, the thorn has turned into a knife.
The war of words between political rivals escalated Thursday when Daley suggested that the convicted former city clerk has "a lot of personal problems" and that he's making wild post-prison allegations in a desperate attempt to sell his self-published book.
Laski fired back that Daley was "blatantly lying" and lacks the "guts" to take responsibility for his actions.
We imagine most people are pretty sure that the only reason Daley doesn't sue Laski is that under discovery rules, god only knows what might come out into the open. Plus, truth is kind of hard to overcome, even in Cook County courts. This is getting rather entertaining though.

Yes, Civil Discovery is a bitch.
That's what makes the election of Tony Peraica to the Cook County State's Attorney's office so terrifying to the Daley's, Madigan's, Burke's, Stroger's, Mell's, etc...
It's the first step.
Start with a civil suit, use discovery to open up the cans of worms, carefully and intelligently, laying the groundwork for 'inevitable discovery' of criminally incriminating evidence to remain admissible in criminal court, and the dominoes begin their relentless fall, the walls begin to crumble and our Humpty Dumpty mayor experiences the effect of the force of gravity.
No need to continue to pray for federal intervention.
No need to wait for the effects of time to catch up with these dinosaurs.
No need to hold our breaths, waiting for the ever pliable citizens to pull their heads out of their asses and vote these fuckers out of office.
This is the opportunity, boys and girls, to elect Peraica and see how all the rats scamper and attempt to feed each other to the barnyard tomcat that Peraica will be.
The pleasure in watching him toy with his prey, before delivering the killing bites, will be priceless.
I will read it when/if it makes it to paperback.

Rich “The Bitch” Daley has always been a child of privilege. He is also a liar. Remember when he “X’d” the runways at Meigs Field and said it was done for security reasons, then later admitted that he did it because, well, he could. He just felt like it. The Daley’s have always had the philosophy of “Rule it or ruin it.” He ran for a second term for State’s Attorney and said that he would serve out the entire term, then, three weeks later he announced he was running for mayor. Daley would have you believe that gangbanger, Angelo Torres, walked into City Hall one day and just became the head of the Hired Trucks Scandal. Nobody knows where he came from. Nobody knows who hired him. Does anyone believe that a scenario like that is possible? It’s as ludicrous as Craig Livingstone a bar bouncer, walking into the White House and being named the head of security. Again, nobody knew where he came from. Nobody knew who hired him. Do these A-Hole politicians really think that the average citizen is that stupid? Apparently, they do. I’ll take Laski’s veracity over Daley’s truthfulness anytime. And, I don’t even know the guy. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Lets hope this is only the beginning!

All of you who say he's headed to Sandstone because of this book are doing some massive pipe-dreaming.
I hate the prick as much as anyone else, but ponder this: If this is such an earth shattering book with loads of dirt--why is it self published?
Could it be because nothing in it could be verified? No publishing house would go near something of this magnatude this unless things could be confirmed by independant research.
If even some of the stuff from the book could be verified, wouldn't you think Simon & Schuster (publishers of the some of the biggest tell all books of all time) would have lept on this and made a bundle?

Rumor has it Laski shared a cell with former commander mike "pole-smoker" acosta. Both of them have house's within 2 blocks of each other. We do need to bring down the blago/daley/stroker/davis/lil-jackass team and, the jackass/meeks/pfleger/not-so-sharpton team as well. They are all part of the anit-christ team.
I'm about half way through the Laski book. The tone of it reminds me of that police chief of Willow Springs that was in on the Diane Masters murder. He paints himself as a good guy and wouldn't do certain things, and blah blah blah. Look, if you fuck up, you fuck up. Its nobody's fault but your own. Laski didn't have a problem with either Daley or Lipinski when Lipinski had him penciled in to be appointed alderman. Daley didn't put the arm on him for Hired Truck kickbacks. He did all that shit himself and he got caught. So what's he do.
Lets see, oh yeah, "my dad was an abusive alcoholic. I have a problem with substance and alcohol abuse. And Daley is like Captain Queeg. I got the copy of his book on a disc in PDF form. I wouldn't drop $29 to that vindictive polock. Its too bad they let him out so soon. Yeah Jimmy, Go Cubs.
I am sure that Jody knows that he is working for the most corrupt regime in the country since "Big Bill" Thompson took orders from Al Capone.
If anyone reading this blog, or if you know anyone who works for the city that knows where federal money is being stolen, have them contact the G and blow the whistle. If a recovery is made, there can be a generous finder fee.
Let us pray that the feds get Daley, before he does any more damage to our pensions and benefits. A democratic president will halt any investigation or pardon the little ______ .

Also, the crew that was pictured in the Sun-Times story are filing lawsuits against, Gerald Sullivan, Plumber's Local 130, the Chicago Department of Water Management, The Inspector General under Chicago Inspector General Alexander Vroustouris and naming names. Just when you thought the "Hired Truck Scandal" would go away for Mayor Daley, it comes back up again. The Supervisors in the North District thought they could just retire and walk away, it is not going to happen.

Daley said that Laski has a drinking and drug problem, for awhile now. If that is the case and Daley knew about it why cant they drug test thses aldermen and city clerk?? Daley says he knew he had a problem back then, why not drug test these pieces of shit?

Can Peraica abuse the TIF statutes, to skim millions of our taxes, unaccounted for and concealed as the major portion of our collective tax burdens that their misuse has become?
Can Peraica, as our County State's Attorney, dole out city and county jobs, to all those 'supporters' of Daley and his cronies?
What, exactly, can Peraica do, if elected as our next Cook County State's Attorney?
Besides enforce the law.
Besides investigate those suspected of violating the law?
Besides indicting and prosecuting those found to be, or to have been, violating the law?
Besides applying the law for the sole purpose of protecting the interests of all County, and thus city and suburban, residents?
The only people who have anything to fear, about Peraica victory in this contest, are those who are, or who have been, violating the law.
Their identities can be gleaned by observing the many who are vigorously opposed to Tony Peraica winning this election.
Lets face it. Laski is just a neighborhood polock who was too dumb and got caught with his hand out.
