Credit Where Credit is Due
Seems that some people are being left out of the heavy handed praise being dished out regarding the apprehension of the killer of a pregnant mother of three this past Halloween. Praise is being heaped upon the cameras, the detectives, the cameras and we think the cameras again - anything to justify the expenditures of million of dollars that did nothing to prevent a murder and didn't even capture the actual murderer.
What it did capture were faces of potential witnesses. And how good were those photos? Pretty damn bad evidently, because it took a couple of people adept in computer enhancing of the photos to actually give the detectives something to work with.
But we don't see their names anywhere. We guess that "working hard" mantra and being a "team player" platitudes being heard around the corridors of power are still the echoes of ones heard under the last half a dozen superintendents.

The cameras, the community, and the hard working officers involved in CAPS all coming together solved this crime. And a special shout-out to the forward thinking public servant extraordinaire who gave us these crime solving cameras...... MAYOR DALEY.

I REMEMBER I VISITED SOLIDER FIELD ON DUTY ONE COLD AFTERNOON AND WANDERED INTO THE SECURITY ROOM. THE PRIVATE 9.00$ SECURITY GUARD DEMONSTRATED THAT THE CAMERA COULD SEE THE WHOLE FIELD AND ZOOM SO CLOSE IT COULD READ AN ID. THAT CAMERA COST I FEW THOUSAND DOLLARS. I SEEN THE SPEC ON THE PODS YOU COULD ORDER CAMERAS WITH SIMILAR SPEC FOR UR HOUSE FOR 300.00 /COLOR.
THE CITY KNOWS YOU CANT MAKE OUT PLATES OR FACES UNLESS YOU WORK THE CAMERA MANUALLY AND THEY DIDNT PURCHASE THE MOTION SENSORS EITHER.
THE CONTRACT IS ANOTHER SCAM DONT BE SURPRISED IF ALL THOSE BULLET PROFF CASING DISAPPEAR AND REAPPEAR IN CICERO AND BERWYN WITH A NEW COAT OF PAINT.

These weren't CAPS that developed the video pictures for these guys to work with. CAPS had nothing to do with capturing the pictures.

Typical and oh so common on this job. On the news you see faces taking credit for something that they had little or nothing to do with. Same goes for all those names sneaked on the paper. In the first place the CAPS office didn't have anything to do with solving this crime. The community didn't come forward until the pictures were developed by a different district, and given to the detectives assigned to the case,did they have any witnesses. The original detectives assigned gave it to some other detectives after having no luck with it. Regular PO's made the arrest, not the CAPS, not the detectives,but PO's.
So, it looks like the credit should go to the arresting PO's and the officers of the unnamed dist that developed the video for the detectives, but as usual, no one involved in the actual work got credit.
GO CPD...DON'T REWARD TEAMWORK...KEEP USING THE PO'S AND TAKING THE CREDIT. YOUR USELESS POD CAMERAS & THE USELESS CAPS OFFICE GET ALL THE CREDIT.

The arrest yesterday had nothing to do with the camera operators. Ask anyone working in area one at the time and they will tell you that the images from the pod were of no use to the investigation. What hasn't been reported is that two heads up coppers in 008 got some info during a traffic stop last November and turned it over to the Area One dicks. The same offender charged yesterday was arrested for the murder by 002's gang team in November after being identified in a photo array but ended up being rwoc. Now some self-serving detectives duped the new bosses into believing that they reached out to the community and gained their trust to identify the shooter when they knew the whole time who the offender was. If the pod was so useful, why haven't we seen these great enhancements that led to the offender being identified. The only ones that didn't get credit in this whole thing were the two coppers from 008 that gave the dicks the offender's name four months ago. This is a perfect example why coppers don't trust detectives with information.
Da Mayor does not want any proactive policing until after the Feb. National Elections. Killings they can justify by blaming it on guns but when you start being the police and lock up and harass these honor roll savages the savages and their play cousins start hootin and hollerin, actin the fool and causing a scene, start throwing bottles, rocks, etc. at the police. At this time the true actions of these people that Obama supports will show up and make the national news. No Democrap or liberal wants the nation to see what Obama stands for and supports and scare off the blind voters. 01:30 is right. The offender was in custody about 3 days after the murder. The lone witness could not pick him out 100% and he was released. The feds (ATF) claimed to have some insight on the Latin Saints. CPD was asked to back down until the electronic monitoring (wire) provided any additional evidence,. which it did not. CPD cleared this case, as usual. I'm not sure if the case will hold up in court, but they got the right guy. Nice Job......From someone who knows.
Commander Eugene Roy is in Box 2 on the arrest report! Were they his cuffs on this guy's wrists? Did he read him his Miranda? Or could it be he is just mining for medals and a little atta-boy from the new supe? BTW- I heard Eric W. had the nerve to walk out mid news conference saying to Weis as he walked out "There are more homicides to solve. My day has just begun." Also heard Diamond and Tionda Bradley are going to turn themselves into him later today at the Area.

Then a slimy robbery dick picked it up and in way that he could got the same witnesses that could not make an identification to make one. People have short memories but remember this. This case will never result in a conviction for the bag guy. It may however, result in a conviction for Louie the slithering detective. Too bad is rube helper in this case may have to go with him.

Heard this case may not make it out of Br.66. Not sure how it got charged other than the constant suction provided to the ASA's working on the case by L.O. Jesus Christ, BR.66 gave this case to the ASA with the lowest senority. They know its a loser, but Commander of 09th District made his calls to get it approved. Great case huh, witness pick-out filler in original line-up, also stated on G.P.R.'s that they cant ID cause the offender had on hoody and shirt pulled up over his face, (4) different "offenders" had been arrested for this Homicide, witnesses state that they have also been shown single photo's of the bad-guy= "tainted lineup".Fast forward to L.O. "super-dick", states that original assigned detectives didnt handle interviews and line-up's properly, picks up witnesses conducts line-up and "poof" positive line-up.
This prick has been walking around 610 braging that if he solved this homicide it would mean meritorious promotions for everyone involved, this would explain the arresting officers and assisting on the paper. Hey Louie, we arent going to jail for you this time!!! half the dicks on the paper are gonna be used by the defense.

Mendoza was brought to 009 as a PO specifically to be put in for meritorious PO by the most political DC in the city. Mendoza is the brother of state rep Mendoza. Of course Roy is on the arrest report. He divorced his clout, but he's a survivor. He was the only exempt in A/1 patrol to not be moved to something better. All the political favors he's done (like Mendoza, just for one) are what saved him from being dumped altogether. He's a back stabber who will do anything to keep his rank. He treats the throops like crap. He can't even be bothered to speak to them (unless they're politically connected). He dumped one of the most respected tact Sgts because he claimed the sgt. rolled his eyes during a meeting (but actually so he could install the 3rd watch cpts. guy in his place). One day, when Louie O. worked in Narcotics, he set up a deal with a C.I. and a bad guy. Louie, being a hero, declined to have anyone go with him, but we had close surveillance on him.
He met with the bad guy and C.I. but moved out of sight of his surveillance. The bad guy pulls out a gun and rips Louie of the buy money.
Louie gets scared and runs right past his surveillance and back up, grabs his citywide radio and calls in a 10-1 with approximately ten of his team members in a block area.
He cried so hard that he could not be quieted. Ramsey, the Commander at the time, had Louie in his office for over an hour, but the tears kept flowing. He left Narcotics soon afterward.

Otero already has established a bad rep in court for telling his victims and witnesses which suspect is the offender. Cases have already been dropped because of his selective translation technique. I helped and had a better contacts with the Hispanic commumity, that is it. I got the case cleared, what else do they want. I am sorry if some guys feel I stepped on their toes, but I didn't you see, I solved the case with the help of others ok. The CO of 009 and others were well informed of my actions and all wanted to help. This was a great case that got put a side because of a language barrier, that it, no bull. Anyone who knows me will tell you I work a case until it gets solved and will not step on anyone you see. The Det.'s that had the case should tell you they knew I was working the case and told me to go with it. Yes I solved this case because others did not, that is the way it is, clear the cases and move onto the next one. We are strictly held to the 48 hour rule you see and I and others need to work fast. In regards to the open letter from Det OTERO, I have a few questions for him:
Why would a detective from midnights ask for your help on a murder that he knew absolutely nothing about?
In one sentence, you say that you solved he case with the help of others. Further down, you cleared it alone. Which is it?
You say the Commander of 009 knew what you were doing. You work in Area 1. I know she had no idea what you were doing.
You say that the case was set aside because of a language barrier. What was the date on the Investigative Alert issued for the alledged third party? Saying that the detectives on the case messed the investigation up is all out wrong.
You see Louis, no one really cares that you solved the murder. It is the way that you went about it that leaves the bad feelings that your coworkers have experienced.
There is a drawer full of open cases you can look at and solve. Have at it. I hope you can keep the story together better on the stand than you did in the locker room.

Hey guys, I can only tell you how it went down, you see. I did not back stab anyone and I got the case cleared with help. This case was a shit case you see and it is not unusual for a midnight Detective to ask for help. You see I have ties to the community and was able to make the community feel at ease knowing I was on the case. They felt they could trust me becuse I have helped the hispanic community before, you see. I have not talked any shit to anyone on this and believe me, I could. And for the one year Det. on the floor, I have worked all kinds of cases for years on the floor and have the respect of the majority of men I work with. I help to clear the case, move the X, something the new Det. doesn't know anything about. As for the CO of 009th, I did not tell him everthing that was going on, I report to my supervisors in A-1 you see. Some Det.'s who had worked the case before me were calling the CO of 009, not me, I had to work with him on this becuase the other Det.'s got him involved. The X was moved and the case was cleared and if you really know me you would see that I am a stand up guy who would not hurt anyone's rep. on the floor you see. If you have a concern come talk to me, we can work through it, ok. Here is the real story on Louie. The detectives in Area One had the offender identified in a photo array. The witnesses did not identify the offender in a line up. These are the same witnesses that Louie found and they now picked out the offender. Ya right iam sure with help from Louie. Louie and mendoza were on some bull shit. They never talked to the two Detectives Carr and Suds.
Louie even went to the commander complaining about one of these Detectives. Every thing that Louie and Mendoza did was previously handled. Louie and Mendoza screwed up this case. Wait and see when it goes to court. Wait and see when they get sued.
I cant believe Louie wrote that People respect him. I work in Area one and no one respects him. Well maybe one or two people. Louis is full of it. Louie your a back stabbing pig. Do you know why Mendoza asked you for help? Because he and Louie knew that everyone was identified. Every person Louie and Mendoza talked to had been identified except one.

Now about Mendoza. What a suck ass. I thought he was a good guy. Worked 1st watch with a lot of good guys and sgts who could of helped him stay away from Louie. Now its to late. Louie intercepted a call that asked for a spanish speaker. It was a witness that louie convinced to only talk to him. Louie went to Lt Pavon and told pavon that the Detectives on the case screwed it up and he could fix it. Pavon went to the commander and now we have this. I know this because i was there and heard everything.
