Well just when we thought things have changed, well your wrong, its back to business as usual. No info of him in the system. Guess she owes that DC a favor now. God, i luv this job.

If that was my child, I would have came into the station, knocked him into next week and handed him right back to the arresting officers!
I wouldn't describe this as a stunt or using clout or anything else remotely corrupt. If the story is in fact true, it would be better described as a mother doing what a mother does for her child. However, it can also be described as the wrong thing to do if you are a newly appointed boss in the police department. My own mother would have let me rot in jail just to teach me a lesson that when you misbehave there are consequences. Maybe my mother should be the boss in the police department and Judy can be the mother who spoils her child with kindness....Naww that would make sense!!!

You know, I'd love to hear from any of the POs that were there when she came to pick up junior. How did she act? The impropriety is that merit judy basically bribed the cops to not charge her kid with battery and resisting so the kid could just be charged with a city offense and thus no need for prints. The kid did fight with the police and there is the coverup. We'll take care of you later ---promises--promises---promotion! It's the Chicago way.

I get a phone call from my unit this morning and they tell me a woman at the academy called there and said she found my BADGE in a glove box in one of the cars. And they ask... am I missing my badge? So I answer, No I am actually holding it in my hand right now as we speak. So I call the training academy and ask for the genius woman who called. She gets on the phone with me and once again tells me she's found my badge. So I ask her, "what are the numbers on the badge?" And the dumbest woman ever says, numbers? No no no, your last name is on it. This idiot found a name tag in a glove box and was calling everyone with that last name's unit and telling their desk personnel that person lost their badge. This is the type of people we have working at the training academy!!!! Good luck recruits... I know you come out as Know it Alls but hopefully you will know the difference between a star and a name tag!!!!

No no no, your last name is on it. This idiot found a name tag in a glove box and was calling everyone with that last name's unit and telling their desk personnel that person lost their badge. This is the type of people we have working at the training academy!!!! Good luck recruits... Yeah, right! The city spent way too much money on those tests to throw them out.
The only thing wrong with the Lt's test process was that the people who had flawed orals were not notified, so if they opted not to retake it, they get a big fat goose egg as a score.
However, every single person was given the option to retake it. If you didn't, then you're the stupid one. The city gave you a once in a lifetime chance to improve your test score.
As for allowing a certain person to take the test at home, with her "friend" as proctor, that's a whole lot of bullshit. If you're well enough to sit for 5 hours at home, you can bring your ass down to Lane Tech and take it.
As for what was wrong with the Sgt's test, I have no clue...

its called hot pan. The problems in the department corruption, clueless bosses, clout(hot pan) being played out in the media labeling the true cops as corrupt and lazy (grabbing a hold of said hot pan). One gets tired of getting his hand burned. We have to restore the trust back in the Chicago Police. Behaviour is inherant do we teach the PPOs the right way or the way some old timer taught me which i found out was the best way to be named in a lawsuit(s). Old timers do not have all the answers. Stop asking old timers for answers the answers lay with in you (family, career, jail)
How did this dept get so divided. It used to be help out, now its throw em to the wolves. Someone in the old timer club explain.

My guess is that it got this way due to countless incompetent and downright treacherous people have been promoted meritoriously.
Old school bosses that knew the right thing to do are about as rare as Cubs playoff win.

For starters this incident occurred the way the story says it did except the special treatment. This dummy was arrested because he had way too much to drink and got stupid with on duty po's trying to eat their lunch. What he said & did to those officers was bullshit! But lets get one thing straight.....he was printed & his C.B photo is on the clear system. I saw it myself.
Second: From what I have seen from Martin in her 2 day's as commander of 013, she has done nothing wrong . She is a the parent of a 20 something who made a really dumb mistake, let her deal with this before we judge her. Then she has a police involved shooting in her district involving outside units. Cut her some slack.
Third: Lets give the officers involved some credit too....I would get this mess the hell out of 013 with this guy if Diedre Heraty was my w/c too!! Shit, if she would have gotten her claws deeper into this mess it would have been much worse...she is a nut!!!!!
Fourth: These officers could have beat the crap out of this guy but they did'nt. He was transported, processes then released like countless others. The only difference..he was a bosses kid. So friggin what?!!!

Have you learned anything in the past few years? Oh thats right you only have 3 years on. Didnt mommy and daddy raise you to learn from elders and mistakes of others?
And I dont need your help or TRU's I do not push a beat car or sit at a desk.

Most of the Lt's test was an opinion. If you believe that the department is not supposed to put out the information on a homicide offender in favor of the dibs, doc and daily bulletin . Well Moureen you and the other broads are right. Those that believe that they scored well, do you believe that you are as smart as Dana Starks, a member of the committee developing the test. Of course not, the whole test was a joke including you==little midget who writes about himself, and the guy who returns from where he came.

Sorry I did well on the test. I didn't write the damn thing! I'm sure if you did well, you would have taken the moral high ground and refused to be promoted. I caught such a break getting back to where I came from too! Everyone had that spot on their wish list. By the way, how do you know which answer was correct regarding the homicide offender? I didn't get an answer key did you?
As for allowing a certain person to take the test at home, with her "friend" as proctor, that's a whole lot of bullshit. If you're well enough to sit for 5 hours at home, you can bring your ass down to Lane Tech and take it.
This person took the 1st part at home due to a serious injury, it first had to be approved by the city counsel. the 1st part was based on a score and had nothing to do with the second part which she took with everyone else.
The test is not getting torn down, stop spreading rumors, sorry if you were one or two out on the old list and now you fucked up this one, but get over it and start preparing for the next one...

.....You are very observant. Did you approach this cpd t-shirt wearing person to identify if they were a police officer or family member ? Did you tell them your concerns ?
....if you are so concerned about what p.o.'s are wearing in bars, maybe you should stop by all the "cop bars" on the north and south sides and tell all the guys wearing a white t-shirt with their uniform pants and shoes that they should go home and change.

In the incidents in 19 and 23 the exempts went in demanding and causing a scene. JM was called, there was no mention she acted like the other two clowns, thats what makes a difference

First and foremost, the story is missing alot of information. "A fight"...are we talking verbal or physical. While MFing the police when your mom is a cop is certainly bad behavior and an indicator that he's got some issues, it certainly is against the law. Was he arrested? Since he didn't identify who his mom was, I'm assuming he was processed prior to this information coming out. Did she somehow "hide" the arrest? I've known Judee for years and don't buy the story as printed. She is a woman of integrity and Weis made a good choice with her.

As far as the lt test, or any promotion test for that matter, if everything was legit, why don't they return the test to us? Let me see my original test with my handwriting and with red pen marks all over it. I want to see which answers I got wrong so that I can learn from it and be better prepared for the next test. Why won't the department answer that question?
Years back we had rotating shifts and everyone knew everyone else in the district station. There were watch parties and almost everyone on the watch showed up at them. Along came straight shifts and the beginning of the end. Don’t get me wrong if you have the time they are the best thing going. However, it has split up the closeness of the officers in this department. This is shown every day on this Blog. This is what the mayor had planed and it appears with the putting Jfed in charge the split is getting wider. Please don’t give them the satisfaction. Get closer together because we are all we got.
Stop and think at a 10-1 do you ask yourself the rank, race, or sex of the officer needing help? I hope not, you just go because they are police and so are you. Do some police get more breaks because of rank or who they know…yes that just the way it is. Is it right? To the older officers, mentor the younger officers, it will be very hard. Just like it was hard to mentor us. And, to the younger officers keep your mouth shut and learn. We were all JUST LIKE YOU. We knew everything and the old guys were lazy dogs. Then we became the old guys and realized that [a little hard it admit] they knew what they were talking about [THANKS]. They were looking out for us we just didn’t figure it out when it was happening. I think what I really want to say is that I don’t like what the department is becoming. We have a chance to stop the slide downward and bring us back to the family [a little dysfunctional] but always a family. Give the break that you would like your family to receive. First of all SCC if you are going to post something, get your facts straight! JM son was arrested and charged!! If you knew how to use a computer, for other things besides spewing hate about people, you would have known that. Perhaps it's because you never made an arrest in your life and never made it anywhere, that you feel you have to belittle and berate those around you! LOSER!! Second her son was taken to 14 di**brain because it would have been a conflict of interest if he has processed in 13 since she is the commander of 13!! And you? You are still a nobody sitting in your livingroom by yourself playing with your little computer. There was no cover up!! She is a great boss!! Something you will never aspire to be. No one put their neck out on the line, nor was anyone asked too. Lastly, no officer was beaten to a pulp either, or for that fact beaten!! Learn how to read and you will know the facts!!
He was a 28 yr old drunken irishman who walked into boston's when the cops were there. He was a loud drunk who backhanded one of the cops in the chest while talking to them and was taken into custody with little fight. There was no fistfight, no physical harm and he was brought to 13 to process. Martin was called out of courtesy, the kid was transported to 14 to finish processing to avoid exactly the kind of crap the "know nots" are spewing here, and the kid was charged with exactly what transpired, nothing more, nothing less. Martin's comment was, do what you have to do. She didn't come down on the cops, she was embarrassed, and if she picked the kid up at 14 it's because he used that address as his own, and most likely lives there.
End of story fucktards. While you're snooping around for datawarehouse photos or case info, check and see how much you can find of the SOS shitbags that got locked up or most other cops that get cracked. It ain't 'cause his mom's exempt that it's not there, it's because it's lamely considered "newsworthy" and neither the morons here nor the media have any specific right to the case anyway. The negative idiots here are not now, nor will you ever be anyone's review board and your shit opinion is is worth just that.

As a taxpayer and a retired member of the CPD, I am most grateful to SCC for providing potential whistleblowers an Internet outlet to expose corruption and waste among politicians and police officials.
I categorically commend SCC for his/her/their noble efforts in exercising rights protected by the First Amendment.
Contrary to your rude remarks, it would not surprise me in the least if this blog is maintained by exceptionally outstanding, talented police officer(s) of honor and integrity.

Agreed. I am not the best test-taker in the world, but I usually am smart enough to learn from my mistakes and do much better the second time around. The fact that we don't even get to know where we went wrong is mind-boggling to me, and a pretty good indicator that the city really doesn't want too many knowledgeable cops out there because us no-clouters actually might work our way up from the bottom. Disgraceful.
