I know that's how i felt and what i did. I bit my lip for 8 hours b/c i knew if i started, that'd be it, we'd be heading into the station and kickin his ass of my car. But instead of fronting him out for being such an unbelievable tool, i just dealt with it thinking that it's only once in a while i get these stupid know it alls.
I'm tellin you, 3 out of the 4 from a recent class just completely suck. What happened to them coming out, shuting up and listening and learning. Probablly the destruction and total demise of the extremely poorly run FTO program.

An Open Letter to Mr. J.P Weis.
I was looking at my copy of the book "End of Watch". (If your unfamiliar with it, it is about Chicago Police Officers killed in the line of duty between 1853-2006)
As I read I came along this passage:

I refer to you as "Mr. Weis" not out of any disrespect, but until you demonstrate to the the us that you truly understand what that passage means, you'll never be "one of us" We will always respect your position and authority, but in our hearts you'll never be one of us until you've demonstrated the meaning of that passage to us.
I don't have any suggestions how to make that demonstration. They call it the "Voucher" program now. Section 8 was done away with. In Essence the Vocher program allows the property owner/voucher holder to rent anywhere in the state of issue.
Its a win-win for the owner as they get a check from the Goverment every month. If you do a little research you will be suprised what the "G" pays for 3 bedroom apartment.

There has definetly been a change in the recruits over the years, each new class gets cockier, louder, mouthier, over the air with endless attitude.
Not all, not most, but enough to make the change quite noticeable. Maybe it's the whole work industry not just CPD. We experienced the same thing at OEC with our knowitall new kids the last few classes. I'm chalking it up to the Me Generation, it's all about Me Me Me.
Most of the FTO's are decent (at least from my vantage point). Friends of mine say the same thing, about the endless chattering in the cars and they're surprised too. So you're not alone with your observation.

3. All Exempts will ensure to keep morale as low as possible by continuing to submit meritorious promotions of the least deserving member under your command who has the most clout.
4. All Exempts will, without exception, continue to take credit for any positive accomplisments of the members of his comand while at the same time denying an knowledge of wrongdoing by members of his command.

The FOP election results are in and on their website. All of the incumbents on the top of the ticket won as expected. And none of the nut-job ticket came close. I just found it amazing the mayor’s former lackey and Alderman’s Burke current coat holder got 1035 votes. It shows that city hall still has it’s tentacles deep in the Department.
As far as the trustee race goes here are some observations:
1. Being first on the ballot counts for a lot as evidenced as with Aguilar. I won’t know him if he was standing next to me but he got the most votes. He does the FOP web site and that is fairly well done when he keeps the current updates tab current.
2. Trevino will retire and move out state next year and will be no help at all. And that came right from his mouth. Why was he on the ticket Mark? Diversity? That’s bull shit!
3. Bullock lost again! Will she just go away now or hang around for the hat trick!
4. It looks to me that the only people to win from the nut-job ticket were both retirees: Brown and Hornowksi. They are the epitome of both nut-jobs and egotists.
5. A good question is did the above two goofs win because of the fact that they are retired or is it because they sent out a mailing. I think a combo of both. Bourret and Bullock got bumped from the incumbent ticket because of he large turnout of retirees I would guess that the retirees came close to if not out voted the active members.
6. Anyone with less than the 1245 vote mark should just hang it up. And if you did not send in a ballot you have nothing to complain about!

Fuck him! While on mids a few years ago my squad car breaks down. While waiting for a tow, this jagoff pulls up and wants to gig me for wearing a black vest cover without an outer garment (thats my fault). It was an unseasonable warm night in November. During that time my partner sees a battery in progress down the block and runs to it. Bocian tells me to go help my partner and don't worry about him gigging me. Guess what...few days later I get the write up for not wearing an outer garment. The bastard instead of telling me to my face I'm gonna get gigged, lies instead. Fucking coward! Fuck all inspectors. Talk about a useless do-nothing job!
The problemm is our fop says they cannot do anything if an officer is being paid at call back! They claim he/she are not harmed then.
Bullshit, what about stress, uncertain future, etc.. Lets face it -some guys are fuck ups and if they rob and cross the line then their really putting themselves out there. But many people have been stripped because of pure minister-pressure or real badly investigated cases. There should be a panel of bosses that look at a case and review them before the Sup gets it-not from IAD directly to Sup. Especially when it comes down to heavy time or God forbid 30-pending. Lots of white residents, lots of white cops, many of whom don't give a shit about the oath they took, or have any initiative in protecting their own neighborhoods. It really didn't matter years ago, when there was little crime in either district. But today's shithead is much more mobile, and less prone to being stopped and checked out "because he doesn't fit the neighborhood." Unfortunately, many of the cops assigned to both Disticts (and this includes 008) still think they can sleep half the night, and wake up to find nothing has been disturbed around them. From what I hear through the Grape vine E.C. never spoke of any promotion. Whenever he was asked about any rumor or someone tried to speak of an impending promotion for him he would just say "only time will tell" and leave it at that.
