Space Filler
Since SCC... oops, I mean Mr. SCC, had that cardiac episode yesterday, he gave me control of the blog for a couple of days. My name is Monique Bonds (Mrs. SCC) and I currently hold a position in the Department that allows me lots of free time since my entire Department isn't allowed to speak to the media much anymore.
I thought I'd share one of my favorite photos from years ago, back when I was still married to the orange fellow, Pat. You might remember him from previous TV appearances. You don't see him much at all anymore and I'm wondering if his position is going to be eliminated shortly. He runs a very dry and humorless blog that Mr. SCC won't allow me to name. It's a company blog, sanitized press releases and such, a whole lot of sucking up pretty much. It's way less funny than this place.
What people don't realize is that my ex-husband Pat didn't set out to be a police spokesperson. He used to have ambition (until the midget on the fifth floor killed it off). Pat wanted to be an actor. Unfortunately, acting with Pat's particular...um...skin tone limited his roles. I mean, look at this:
Pat didn't have to wear make up for the role, but he refused to don the Oompa Loompa wig, saying it really messed up his "do." Gene Wilder fired him shortly after this picture was taken, but he still send us Christmas cards every year. Class act, that Mr. Wilder.
Anyway, SCC says he'll be back today. I told him the blog is in good hands, but he worries that he'll be losing readers to Pat's efforts. I told him not to worry.

OT SCC, Tina Skahill issued fax today stating that district supervisors will not be investigating log# (CR) and that they will be assigned across the board to administrative units throughout the department. Upon completion they will be forwarded to accused COMMANDER. As a district supervisor I think its cool. As an accused...were in trouble without someone on our side. FYI

Hey Tina(slim) skahill. I quit doing any proactive police work. No more drug arrest, impounds, dopw, movers/parkers. unless I absoultley have to. I am no longer looking for activity which generates revenue for the city or makes the city look good. SO keep eating those free whoppers you are obviously eating. Did you finally get truck plates for your rear end?

Sgt roy is absent from the photo, and sends his regrets. His ebay store is having a going out of business sale. In all fairness though he submitted an overtime slip for the photo session, and will be paid.

SCC! WE need help to move the St. Jude parade back on Michigan Ave. I haven't researched it. But how long have we been doing the parade, and has it always been on Michigan Ave.? Any ideas on what steps to move it back? The more we give up or let them take away from us. The more they're going to do it. And without asking. God knows, no one sticks up for us or has the balls to do it. PLEASE HELP! I hope I don't stand alone on this.
God Bless our Men and Women that have already given the ultimate sacrifice. They deserve to have the streets blocked and the positive Media coverage.

We do need to get the St. Judes Parade back on Michigan. Last year I went to the one on LSD and will never go back again. We have all ethnic parades and celebrate them in prime locations in the city. We get pushed out of the public view. This is an insult and don't everyone scream and yell about honoring those that have passed. The mayor doesn't even attend. Putting this parade out of view and the thought of saluting J-Fraud makes me sick. So I will pass on this years parade and wait until someone figures out this needs to be a parade that all the city can see. If there was ever a time for us to not show up would be this year. No contract, J-Fraud and all the other little BS they are putting on us. Let the bosses show up. Maybe they can stand up there on the review stand and congratulate each other about how wonderful they all are.

ANOTHER ABYSMAL SLAP IN THE FACE TO THE CPD BY FAT PHIL. FAT PHIL MOVED THE ST JUDE MARCH FROM MICHIGAN AVE,A RIGHTEOUS PLACE OF IMPORTANCE AND HONOR,TO THE HIDDEN LAKEFRONT WHERE NOBODY CAN SEE IT AND NOBODY CARES.
THE REAL MEANING OF ST JUDE OCCURRED AFTER THE MARCH AT HOLY NAME CATHEDRAL WHERE ALL CPD'S DECEASED WHERE REMEMBERED AT MASS. TRADITIONALLY ALL OF THE BOSSES ATTENDED ALONG WITH QUITE A FEW OFFICERS AND FAMILY MEMBERS. THAT IS WHY THE MARCH ENDED AT CHICAGO/STATE ST.

As I recall, last years St. Jude's march location was changed at the request of some of the families of the fallen Officers. They wanted the location near the Memorial so you could stop by after the march and actually see the names of the people, (who but for the grace of God), we were honoring with the march. Who gives a shit about good press, better street, etc... We do it to honor our own! You probably think it's better to march down a certain street, than pass by the church without going to the mass, than head directly to a tavern and drink your faces off. Ya that's the real police....
You guys are just a wealth of information. I had no idea that the St.Jude march originated at OLG. Makes sense though. South Chicago....my old neighborhood.
Hey SCC! Can you please initiate a story on the St. Jude parade and why it should be moved back to Michigan Avenue?! Last year was a cluster fuck of monumental proportions! If we want to honor our brothers and sisters in blue who have given the ultimate sacrifice, it should be in front of the whole city. Not, hidden near the edge of Lake Michigan, so as not to disrupt late sleepers at Gold Coast Hotels. In theory, I understand marching past the Memorial, but perhaps an additional ceremony could take place there after the parade. The lawn of the United States Capital Building is good enough for the National Police Memorial Service in D.C. ...why isn't Michigan Avenue good enough for the Chicago Police/St. Jude parade? Most of the folks in my unit prefer Michigan Avenue. What does everyone else think?
