We don't know why a promotion was hidden away in the Friday afternoon bad press releases section of the AdMin faxes. We always thought promotions were a cause for celebration.

Of course, since the Department HAS NEVER HAD a Commander of Investigations or whatever they're calling it, this would mark the third exempt spot created since J-Fed took over the Department, the other two being Chief of CAPS and Chief of Strategic Deployment (or the "Check Everything Shields does Office")
So much for trimming the fat, eliminating bloated bureaucracy and streamlining the command structure, eh? Three more exempt spots sucking how much "gold braid" pensions out of our woefully underfunded offering.

Great job again by the "working police" in 016. I heard that 008 tac team came all the way up here and did a search warrant getting guns, dope and two heads. ive lived in 016 for a few years now because I work in a north side district.. i am regretting it now, you guys in 016 need to do something and not have a southside district from the opposite side of the city do it all for you because your too lazy. what a joke.

Also add in deaths, LOA's, firings, officers stripped and those that quit. We have around 800 per day on the medical roll. Also, those on light or limited duty. Then those that are filling civilian positions. Very clever at hiding PO's off the street.

Rifle training is for real. It stsrted this morning 0700 at the academy. 20 po's 4 sgts from the area midnight gang teams (1,2,4&5) They were required to take a power test(5 po's failed and were immediatley sent home per Supt. JP) The rest passed and will continue the training at an outdoor range this week. I saw the rifles arrive at the academy and will be sent out to the 4 areas (jody sees no need for rifles in area 3 since the cougar is already dead!) for use by trained po's. More officers will likey be trained depending on how this goes!
It is unbelievable that the FOP hasn't picked up on all the newly created ranks. Chief of CAPS. What does the Commander of Intelegence do that Gangs, Narcotics and the other commander down there can't do? $310,000 for the Sup. If you had a clue how search warrants sometimes develops, you would know that depending on where ever or what information your C/I gives you, chances are you may end up in another district or out in the burbs. There have been several times outside districts came to 016 and scored on a warrant. Good job by these officers.
On the other hand, we have gone to other districts and scored with our warrants. So don't take it personal.
The fact is, gangbangers are moving here and flooding 016 with their shit. We are shorthanded, getting detailed to other district's so feel free to execute any and all the warrants you want to.
Remember, if the shit hits the fan, us workers will stand by you, no matter where you are from.

Don't panic. I had the same kind of problems right after I retired. Apparently it takes a month or two to get you into the retiree system. Once it got straightened out, I got reimbursed for some medical/prescription expenses that I paid out of pocket

The curse of 003. Almost every commander who has left there in the last 8 years has seen their career take a nosedive. Polk was forced to resign. Alexander was demoted by ald. hairston. Brown played the game with 'ol girl, moved out and up, but it all recently caught up with him, and he has since been demoted as well.
Franklin was recently moved out, but took a better job, it wasn't like hairston wasn't trying to toss him on his ass, but 35th st. stuck by him. No telling what's going to happen with Crump-Hales steering to boat. Maybe the place will blow up!
