"All Watch Commander's and Tactical Lieutenant will notify the Aldermen's office on all shootings that occur in their Ward,and in the event of a Homicide, they will bw notified immediately. Attached is a list of the Aldermen's office and their Ward break down."
WTF. Since when are aldermen part of the command structure and need to be notified of shootings?

What Crump-Hales is asking for is nothing new, SCC. Commanders all across the other 24 Districts have been doing this. Every District Commander who is appointed to that
position is provided with a list of the Aldermen whose wards lie in their districts, and it's given to them the same day they are sworn in. They are instructed to reach out to all of the aldermen in their districts ASAP. They are instructed to reach out to them weekly, keep a log of the calls, and record any problems discussed, and the actions taken to alleviate these concerns. When shootings or other major incidents occur, the commanders frequently call the aldermen in whose wards these situations occur. The constituents frequently call the aldermen when they see a major police presence, and inquire as to what's going on. It's a courtesy call to inform the aldermen, as public officials. Most appreciate the heads up, but a few have turned it into a "you work for me" dialogue from the aldermen to the commanders. Some are notorious for attempting to actually dictate to the commanders as to who will run their CAPS offices, who the Tact Lt. will be, and even who will work in the district as the WC. It's unfortunate, but the Mayor has empowered these $100,000 a year "part time" city employees into actually believing that they know what's best when it comes to running the police dept, when the majority of them have never had any law enforcement experience (although a few have had experience as an arrestee), have no knowledge of the various contracts, and don't have a clue as to how we work as a major metropolitan police dept.

Outdoor roll call in 007 on Saturday night. Held at 2000 hours at 64th and Carpenter. Must have been 170-200 police out there. We had 007(Uniformed, tact, gangs), 008(yes cars were pulled from the backlogged 008th District to attend a roll call in 007), TRU(with black war wagons), SOS(the guys still left who now just sit at Navy Pier and the water plants), and god knows how many people from 35th Street. That's not counting the supervisors. Here's what happened. The citizens all watched. Hooted, hollered, and laughed. It was over by 2020 hours. Most outside units left Englewood. TRU cars sped off to dinner, SOS went to sit on some city property. 008 stayed for real police work. They were sent, along with 007 District cars, to 67th and Hoyne to do a seat belt mission. At 2115 hours the 008th District cars were released and sent back to their district, by now in a backlog because of this out of district roll call. WTF.
That really going to help things, keep giving out more goofy orders and than call the city council Be-othches So they can give some goofy imput on what to do. THE CITY IS OUT OF CONTROL, WITH PUTTING THERE TWO CENTS IN ON WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE DEPARTMENT. Thats like us giving advise to space command. I would like to see (before I die) an administration that appoints commanders by ability, not by clout and race. Why can't 003 have a white commander? Why must 014's be hispanic? 016 white? If Weis would have really interviewed the Commander of 003, he would have realized in the first 30 seconds that she was a complete moron.

The movement of personnel solely on the Bump Card is against the law. The Federal A.D.A. Law states that no employee shall be moved solely on a disability that does not have an affect on that person's position.
So once again, I hope this Commander does it and best of all she can be sued personally as well as the department since she/he enacted the procedure as well as the City of Chicago for allowing it.
I would love to see a bunch of bump card officers living in this Commander's house after winning the law suit.

A sergeant introduced one of his guys to the commander and Martinez stated "well where is his i.d. card? For all I know he could be the janitor". I think that responding officers should notify the alder cretins and reverends right away, whenever there is active gunfire so that they can quickly come to the shots fired location and use their political powers to stop the shooters.

Tact/Gangs investigate shootings and conduct surveillances for intel, search warrants, buybusts and reverse sting operations. i would love to see officers do a reverse sting or surveillance on a warrant with their hair high and tight and no facial hair yeah that would work great.
Since the Alderman are able to carry guns maybe the mayor is giving them the M-4's to have. Thats why they need to be notified.

As an example to new officers?!!!! Most of them ARE new officers!!! Anyone with time ,brains or former tact experience has bailed from the joke now called the "TACT TEAM"!! The number generating cleanup crew in many districts is loaded with inexperienced P.O.'s who in some cases were pressed into service on the "team". Watch out kids this isn't the tact team of old because half those stupid missions will get you a CR# or land you in federal court once some smart attorney figures out what's been going on. When I was on a team I had the benefit of tons of experienced officers to learn from and as the times changed over the past few years I realized that the risk outweighed the rewards. Nice idea but less than 1% of the entire department could pull off "military in appearence" and "looking sharp, military bearing" properly. Maybe 5% of tact personnel, and even that's being generous. This isn't the military, not even close, and it's painfully obvious to those of us who know.

Aldermen are useless and overpaid. After that southside gangbanger aldermen was fired they should have dismantled the alderman. When a few guys messed up in S.O.S., they got rid of S.O.S. They should just have about five alderman in the whole city and give them the same screening a federal agent would get. Pay each of them about $120,000 a year and tell the rest to find job. somewhere else.

Do not notify any civilians (Aldermen) of a shooting/homicide in your Dist. Let the bosses do it. About a month ago when you picked up your check you had to sign a form that stated you would not disseminate any Dept. info. whether written, oral or electronic to the public. Aldermen are civilians. They may be the boss of your DC but not yours. Let them notify and see if J-Fraud will jam them up.

So, Rodriguez (disgraced former supt.) puts 13 merit Lt.s in the class. That was the first merit class. Martinez was one of the tree hispanics. Art Parra was another, so that gives you an idea of their qualifications. They were all past presidents of LAPA. A complete joke. Martinez is a disgrace. J-fraud promoted no one. here is a clue 014 tact and gangs: CVLs are selling, and a lot, of white substances anywhere from division to beach - central park to kedzie. it's just a small small clue and i don't even work in 014.

Don't ever think SCC gave some Commander info that 10 or 15 of his closest snitches haven't run to him/her with already. I filled in at hdqrts once years back for a few weeks for a vacationing co-worker. Watching the parade of ass-kissing snitches slink through the aisles was literally pukeable.

Tact/Gangs investigate shootings and conduct surveillances for intel, search warrants, buybusts and reverse sting operations. i would love to see officers do a reverse sting or surveillance on a warrant with their hair high and tight and no facial hair yeah that would work great.
