Always nice to wake up and hear that the police came out on the good end of a shooting. Excellent job by all parties involved:
- Chicago police shot and killed a man Saturday night on the Southeast Side after authorities said he took three people hostage in a robbery attempt at an auto shop.
Officers were called to the parts store on the 9600 block of South Ewing Avenue at 7:50 p.m., police said. When they arrived, the suspect refused to come out and took three people inside hostage. The Hostage and Barricade team and SWAT responded, and the man fired several shots at officers, police said. Police returned fire about 9:30 p.m., fatally striking the man

Question from downstate "civilian": So when the good guys come out the winner on a good shoot it's still classified as a "homicide" as reported by channel 2?? Wouldn't that skew the statistics a little? Like lumping the 18-25 year old group into "Child deaths by firearms"??

Homicide is the death of a human at the hands of another human...a legal definition. A lawfully court ordered and carried out execution is a homicide...but it's not a murder.

It's a Justifiable Homicide. It doesn't count against the dead CPS Students unless they were killed in a shootout with another gangbanger. Then their death is also a Justifiable Homicide.

In East Moline Illinois, on the 16th or 17th of April, a wanted robbery offender shot an on duty East Moline cop with a 45 caliber when the cop tried to arrest him.
The East Moline officer returned fire. Five shots, five hits, one shithead DOA.And ,would you believe, a mini riot broke out? Everybody, mostly pooky ray's friends and family, blamed the police. "The po-lice was shooting around here with little kids around, pooky did'nt do nothin' blah blah blah. " Can you believe a lot of the population down there are displaced public housing residents from Cabrini Green? WTF . The same shit everywhere you go.
BTW, the cop's ok, his bullet proof vest caught the round, but he sustained a nasty injury. Anyway be safe.

With the amount of shooting the fine citizen was doing inside the building, we thought everyone was dead before SWAT made entry. But it turned out well. SWAT did a good job killing him a few times over. By the way our good offender was almost shot by police after pulling a pistol on a couple officers over a year ago. good job by all.

Other than buying all that super tactical badass Blackhawk gear, it's gonna cost quite a bit to buy a spot on the team... just make the check payable to: "The Jody Weis Patrol Rifle Fund". It will help offset the cost of all those rifles he was talking about putting on the street in the officer's hands.
Or you can just invest that money in some training classes, as well as invest some time in making sure you're physically fit and proficient with your pistol, and then take the next SWAT test when they offer it.
I plan on it.

Bro I must tell you that your a dick. No donations necessary just take your lame ass to a shooting course so you can score higher then a 65%. District police officers did a great job that day. Doesn't matter if your SWAT or in a beat car we all bleed blue in the end. As far as the comment on our gear, know the dept has pretty much given us nothing. We bought it to do our job and have the best equipment so we can cover each other. For the first time in history the test is real. Believe me if dudes were over here who made it on merit it would have been all over the blog.

It was. Job went from a 'Call Out' to an 'Active Shooter'. Immediate action team was stacked up and went in. Gunfire inside lead officers to believe that the hostages were being executed. Offender was actually firing through a wall at hostages that had locked themselves in a room. When the team breached the front, the offender started firing at them as well.
