- There was a big drop in shootings and a dip in homicides this past weekend in Chicago compared with the misery inflicted here a week earlier.
We just got off the phone with Mother Nature and man is She pissed! She said you better be ready for a couple of warm weekends soon and She'll show everyone what's what. She even threatened to pull out the nine and light up a few fools that pissed her off.

- City officials agreed Monday to pay $50 million to victims of a fatal fire in a Loop high-rise, ending years of litigation over firefighters' response to the blaze and pushing the total settlement to a landmark $100 million.
When you have firefighters sending people back into a burning building, not evacuating properly, and having "merit" lieutenants who can't even organize a stairwell search, we guess $100 million isn't out of the ballpark.

- There will still be candymakers occupying the fabled Wrigley Building on Michigan Avenue, and the name on the chewing gum will remain Wrigley, but one of America's most famous business families is selling control of its empire in a stunning $23 billion deal that reshapes the world's confectionary industry.
$23 billion in cash. Does Wrigley Field stay Wrigley? We'll think Cubs fans better get used to change, though the change from being "lovable losers" is probably still a few centuries away.

It'll never pass in Chicago, but in the rest of the United States, it's good to see sanity prevails:
- The Supreme Court ruled Monday that states can require voters to produce photo identification without violating their constitutional rights, validating Republican-inspired voter ID laws.
In a splintered 6-3 ruling, the court upheld Indiana's strict photo ID requirement, which Democrats and civil rights groups said would deter poor, older and minority voters from casting ballots. Its backers said it was needed to prevent fraud.
We don't see what's so bad about being required to show ID to vote. After all, you wouldn't want illegal immigrants, criminals and dead people voting, would you? But the Machine has lived too long on the votes of the dead, the missing and the moved-out-of-state to actually run an election legit.

You got some cheese on you Joe?
Snickers Field. Does M&Ms make snickers? We can all go there to snicker at the mayor. What about that crybaby Neils column??? If he's the newspaper guy that really, really likes us, we're much worse off than I thought. I want extra pay just for having to have my guts hated by an entire city, I mean state, for no good reason. It's causing me to nailbite and overeat gosh darnit.
Now its the fire department's turn to be the media's punching bag. Since the payout the city made on behalf of the fire department screwing up royally at the office fire is more than double of any payouts made on behalf of the police department. The actions on scene are a perfect example of the danger in merit promotions. They had idiots running the scene and lives were lost for no reason.
Imagine the clout involved to allow that sow Lt. Anthony Williams CFD to ignore 6 dying people by neglecting to fulfil his duties and then conceal the fact that he failed and KEEP HIS JOB!
Here's the county report from years ago: http://www.co.cook.il.us/fire_report.htm
M-4's? Sheeeit.
Anyone know where I can get a link to the Mikva Commision Report?
as soon as it warms up again the gladiator games will begin again. it was to cold and wet for most of the bust outs this past weekend.
While we're thanking all these asswipes that are costing the city so much money in legal fees, etc. THANK JAN PETSKA! Read some nasty personal legal papers earlier this evening. What a c*%^# she is! Some of those people that were rewarded HUGE dollar amounts by Noelle Brennan (rightfully so) were crucified by none other than Petska working as Daleys hatchet woman. Where's her felon son at anyway? Is he in the joint yet or still wearing CPD sgt stripes? Petskas the one that got Robards promoted dont'ya know? I know, I know, she passed the test, *1. Of course she was. She had the answers. Guess who wrote the test genius's?
Umm, how do we photograph dead people for their voter IDs?
Is it just me or does the TRU uniforms look like SS storm trooper uniforms... Hey J Fed do something about that!!!!!!!!!!
Mayor Fredo has announced that a no bid contract has been awarded to Kenny Construction and GF Structures to build climate control domes over the districts with with high murder rates. Regardless of the time of year, every Friday through Monday morning these dome zones will have their outdoor temperature drop to below zero with freezing rain & hurricane winds. Tom Skilling has been appointed Deputy Superintendent of Climate Dome Zones.
Hey SCC, The Wrigley Company hasn't owned Wrigley Field since 1981 since when the Chicago Tribune bought the team.
another lottery winner! guess the mayors friend and contributor elszie higglebottom who manages the county building got off easy, no charges were filed against him or his bullshit company go mayor freido go! WTF! Guess elzie paid off daley crime family big time to skate from this! next eddie burke will do a fast approval from the finance committee and throw more of our money away! the firefighters also have assholes that are clouted and fucked up big time great job cfd! no tahoes who cares we could take the cta busses to calls! but daley found hundreds of millions to expand the riverwalk but again no money for a contract! Wait a minute if eddie burke is our friend like donohue states, why is it he is very silent on helping get the contract finished? Maybe because his fleet of 2 days on 3 days off valets could be moved and like jody states he will use more civilians! burke heads the billion dollar finance committee but gets police drivers and new crown vics everytime you turn around hmm is he police? what is his radio call number is it car 3? and why?
We all know it was the SWAT team that scared all the bad guys away. The regular beat car guys just don't got it anymore.
Barack Obama Bin-Laden says---
This is an outrage. I have not been so angry since my big toe got cut at my last pedicure.
What this means is, my strength in Indiana, black voters, will have to show ID before they are allowed to vote. This will seriously cut into my vote totals.
When I am elected Califate of the Islamic States of America, I will disband this infidel Supreme Court and replace it with an Islamic Law Council. Allah will be pleased.
Fudge Field. That would work in that neighborhood.
Hey SCC, The Wrigley Company hasn't owned Wrigley Field since 1981 since when the Chicago Tribune bought the team.
Um...duh? We never said they did. And as the pending sale of the Cubs, the ball park and the gum manufacturers all approach by various entities, the chances of continuing the gentleman's agreement that kept the Wrigley name on the ballpark become less and less.
Democrats are upset, what a shocker.
All states should require identification to vote. The Democrats in the State of Illinois will never require it because they depend on unfair elections to get into office.
Great job justices.
O.T. 1st off Lt. Williams was not a Merit Promotion. He was an Affirmative Action Promotion.(just as bad) He spent his years as a FF working at Meigs Field. Where he saw ALOT of fires(not). Same as the 3 exepmt Chiefs that dropped the ball. They also were AA promotions all the way up the ladder.
Just more reasons why there should be NO MERIT OR AFFIRMITIVE PROMOTION.
2nd The city did not settle out of court so that these people didn't have to go thru the ordeal testifing at the trial.
Daley was scared that the lawyers would put presure of the CFD people that would have been called to testify might have told the truth about how inempt that the people in charge really are.
They testified at the dog and pony show known as the MIKVA REPORT.
The real question now is. Can the city be sued for everyone that dies or gets hurt at a fire?
It wasn't a City building. It was a County building. The city didn't start the fire.
The shitbirds knew that SWAT Operators were out there cocked, locked, and ready to rock n' roll. You whiners go back to your seat belt missions, because the element knew who was looking to get their bullets wet. Many, dream, few try, only the best achieve.

Thats cause dey be "operators" and look kool in der new Blackhawk gear.
I like "M & M Field" or maybe
"MARS Field".
Cubs Park and Wrigley Field just don't cut it anymore.
"The Men from Mars"?
What it really needs is a total teardown and build a brand new "state of the art ballpark", with ample parking.
$50 Million of our pension money.....
Exactly, Too many merit persons working downtown companies who used their "store front reverends" to become officers. I guess it was cost effective to settle out rather than expose the incompetence of these individuals.
Interesting. I've lived in Chicago for 3 years. Every time I go to vote I'm asked for a photo ID by the poll worker running the sign in desk. I've never seen them ask anyone else. Then again, I'm not a registered Democrat. . .
TRUE THE BEST ANOV AND ONE BAGGERS IN THE CITY,SO LEAVE US ALONE..WE EAT FOR 2HRS AND THEN WE WRITE A ANOV AND WRITE A MOVER,HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAH AND WE GET TO WEAR OUR BLACK BDUS WE HAD TO BUY,
If they can use a link card for their ID there will be no problems.
burke heads the billion dollar finance committee but gets police drivers and new crown vics everytime you turn around hmm is he police? what is his radio call number is it car 3? and why?

Eddie Burke is Car #2, as Chairman of the Finance Committee. Mayor daley is Car #1, and the Superintendent is Car #3.
Hey Jody Fed Dipshit,
the reason the shootings are down is due to cold and crappy weather and nothing to do with more police on the streets!
Milky Way Park.
ADS complained the other night after the round table was conducted for the SWAT shooting. Seems the black commander and black HGS LT. have been pushing for more blacks to handle the heater cases. Seems the Detective who was pushed to run the round table was way over his head and almost blew the layup. The Detective happen to be black and was assigned the job by a black supervisor. SCC try to dig deeper, there may be a story here. Please watch out in Area Two who shows up on your jobs, there is a good chance the Detective may not be up to the task.
Thank God for the Roberts Court. Hopefully, sense and logic will prevail for the next century before our American Empire crumbles from political and moral corruption (a topic for another day).
An identification card requirement does not disenfranchise anyone! ! !
In my experience, "poor" people (especially those that choose to enroll in the various handouts, I mean, welfare programs offered by our government at all levels) always have an i.d. card for purposes of obtaining the freebies!
Old people always have identification cards!!!
To hold otherwise would be to encourage voter fraud (like SCC noted, by "dead" voters, ILLEGALS (YEAH, THE ONES BREAKING THE LAWS!!!), etc.
I have a question:
Does anyone know what the deal is for St. Jude's on Sunday?
Where is the gathering place? Where are we marching?
I am a Sgt in the CCSPD. We got a memo about 5 weeks ago with the statement that the starting point info, etc is TBD. They still havent gotten back to us as yet. I need to know what to tell my people. In the past, we all met at Wrigley Bldg. Is this still our starting place?
I assume parking is still anywhere we can except fire plugs, or is the TMA got a hard-on for the police?
Thanks for the info.
Stay Safe!

The order on everything was just sent out today, 29 Apr 08. I called Special Events looking for it, and the assh*#e answering the phone asked me what's my problem, it's the same place every year.
Call 022nd District tomorrow morning. Ask the desk crew for the order. I will have copies at the desk for them to read off to you. Or, I can fax the entire order on it.
P.S. We are marching from Solidarity Drive to the south parking lot of Soldier Field, like last year----past the Police Memorial. No longer on michigan Avenue. I think parking is still in the lots south of 18th St and north of Old mcCormick pl, but I have to double check that part.

BE CAREFUL!!!
I read an Officer Safety alert that was sent from Summit PD.
Argo/Summit HS received a threat of violence. Alot of hibbity jibbity bullshit, but the offender promised to "kill a pig" on 04 May 08. The offender cited St. Jude as the place to "kill a pig".
Probably a kid playing a prank but be careful anyway!
True dat.
I've arrested illegals who took US citizen's identity: had insurance in the victim's name, a SOS DL in the victim's name, credit cards in the victim's name, a VOTER'S REGISTRATION CARD in the victim's name, a house in the victim's name, a FOID card in the victim's name, a car in the victim's name and named their first born (anchor baby) after the victim's name.
Also, got arrested in the victim's name, got traffic tickets in the victim's name, failed to show in the victim's name, busted-out on credt and medical bills in the victim's name, had cars re-poed in the victim's name....
It's about time we enforce the laws to protect our US citizens and stop pandering to the illegals.
Take a poll on election day and see how many McCains ID'd. I bet all! I went to vote on election day once right after I'd moved to Mt Greenwood from Beverly many years ago. It was just a few minutes before the polls closed and whisper whisper whisper, I was told there was a problem, whisper whisper whisper, someone "accidently used my ballot" whisper whisper whisper, the precinct captain would talk to me. I got a free tree out of it and two new garbage cans. ie: Apparently the precinct captain had someone vote for me a few minutes before the polls closed. He probably voted for folks he thought weren't voting. Who knows? I just remembered, I got a pizza too.

Yeah... but it was the "we dont know what the fuck we are doing" cfd that stopped 7 employees as they were coming down the stairwell to exit the burning building only to be told to turn around and go back up. Only one of them survived.
I arrested a guy with a phony IL DL; had his picture, non existent name. His new car was in the phony name also. That car got impounded and he will have a very hard time getting it back since only the registered owner can get the car and I confiscated those ID's and that person doesn't exist anyway. Bye bye ride.
Occasionally there is a small amount of justice.
