Not Letting Go
Sneed's letter file was filled with vitriol last week stemming from our item about a recent shooting in Canaryville -- and allegations that a female Chicago Police sergeant may have driven a shooter near the backyard of Michael Sparr Jr., 21, shortly before Sparr was shot on June 22.
Sparr wound up with a bullet in his back, the Internal Affairs Division of the Police Department launched an investigation and the police officer was placed in a desk job away from the public pending an outcome of the probe.
We saw a comment that said the shooter was charged a few nights ago. This is exactly the type of publicity we don't need after burying one of our own - police sergeant as an accomplice? God help us all.

I have never heard a positive thing about this Sgt. I personally don't know her. The story telling could go on for hours about her antics. This is one of those times I don't mind the bad press. The men and women who work the street haven't covered for this woman. She has been an embarassment for a quite a while.
I think the saying goes good ridance to bad rubbish.

I'm not even going near former Supt. Rodriguez's associations and a certain cop whose name ends in "Z". Don't want to end up as alewife bait off Jackson Park harbor.
Let's not forget Phil Cline's relationship with both the Memorial Fund and food. That is embarrassing.
Deal with it. In any organization you are going to have scumbags. Some times good people will screw up and do stupid things. All you can do is try to be one of the good guys and try to avoid screwing up. My theory and I attempt to stick to it is that if you would be embarrassed publicly for doing something don't do it. As my granny would have said "what will the neighbors think."
Bad stuff happens. Do your job, don't take anything that doesn't belong to you, try to stay in decent shape, keep the drinking to a minimum and DON'T get behind the wheel after a "few" beers and you should be fine.
No matter what happens at least they don't refer to you as "Alderman". That would be shameful.

That's all well and good. But who cares who the "victim" was. Let's focus on the fact that a Sgt was riding around with a thug in a marked squad and jockin' him at the same time. It doesn't matter who got shot, she is the one that is the problem.
The fabricated witnesses and outrageous bail set for the alleged offender who was unable to be identified on the scene, but was miraculously identified weeks later by the drunken, convicted rapist, michael sparr sr., and a mystical neice who happened to remember she saw the shooting, should tell more of the story than is being told. Not to mention the people the Sparr family offerred to pay to provide false testimony implicating the alleged offender in the shooting. This is more of a maneuver to tarnish the police department via rumor and inuendo about an alleged incident involving a Sergeant. And you're right, you weren't in canaryville 2 hrs prior, you were on tape in a dunkin donuts parking lot with you and josh in the front seat of the tahoe 2 hrs before the shooting. With all the good this blog does it's a shame it can also be used by ex-husbands and ex-boyfriends to vent their anger...We all claim we want policemen to be treated fair, we want them given proper due process and fair investigations, and that when falsely accused we want justice. Why is this case different. Anyone with common sense who reads any of these negative post can see personal issues all over the place. Anyone who has already condemned this sergeant and claimed cover up better never write another word about Mary Mitchell or any other reporters because you are far worse. Aww...come on already with the coverup. Some of my brothers in 009 can verify, but she certainly was doing this POS and we knew it. Again, check out the verified reports of the June 15th morning session with her piece on the 500 west block of 46th Place (Hope IAD has this one). Incidently, a few steps from the home of our shooter. Not even to mention the DD incident and the "tour" she admitted given him before the shooting to find the guys that assaulted him. Hahahaha! Come on, why was she first on the scene? Also, I thought it a bit curious to see her police issued vehicle leaving a garage about 3 weeks prior via the alley. I was going to check to see if she needed backup... but I figured she was OK. Again, I hate to see disgrace or bad publicity on the Department. I call bullshit, a neighbor of mine was one of the responding firemen. She was there. She Never got on the radio after the shooting.Even after the victims family was confronting her. They (firemen) had to call their dispatcher to tell our dispatcher to send help.
The two of them should just quit, her and her goofy husband.

I know most of the comments on this tread are BS, but the following is 100% accurate. Take this one to the bank----heard this one first hand from a very reliable anonymous citizen as well as some higher-ups.
About a week prior to this shooting Sgt. SS was in an alley inside her squad car getting it on with this "talent" piece of shit. A citizen opens their back gate to take out the garbage which startles Sgt. and "talent". "talent" jumps out of the squad, scurries away, and the Sgt. drives off. All of these actions were captured and recorded in crystal clear quality via a garage security camera.
The anonymous citizen, knowing that something wasnt right about that, burns a few copies to DVD and hands one copy over to 11th ward alderman.
About a week later - a few other cameras as well as countless witnesses catch the Sgt and "talent", wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, driving together in the squad car just moments before "talent" was identified by numerous witnesses as the shooter. 05jul08 - "talent" is taken into custody and charged with shooting Michael Sparr.
Sgt. SS claims that she was no where near the shooting when it happened and has evidence to prove it. hahahahaha!! Paramedics on scene will attest to her being first on scene and getting attacked by the Sparr family who saw her drop "talent" off. The Sgt. didnt call for help----the paramedics did. Hmmmm, thats weird.
Dont worry people, just in case Stacy tries to blow the 11th ward alderman to get rid of that recording or if she tries to use her clout to save her----this anonymous citizen has a few extra copies that might be on their way to Channels 2,5,and 7 if it seems like its just gonna breeze over. There are some pieces of shit in canaryville (most of which Sgt SS is related to), but for the most part, there are good honest hard working St. Gabriel families that all want to see the Sgt go down and wish her nothing but the worst. Her family has been a root of evil in that neighborhood for decades. 95% of her family has IR#'s and hopefully soon she will have one too. Every person that knows Stacy knows that she is a pig and is very capable of this.
