NOT Daylight Savings

It used to be "fall back" yesterday. It isn't anymore.

But it's a built in excuse to show up an hour early for work today.

Think of all the parking tickets you could write with Missy.

Open post in the meantime.

UPDATE: What a fantastic I.T. section we have! Large numbers of computers must have missed the technology upgrades and think the clocks changed. So according to certain printed reports, you may have arrested a suspect before the crime took place.

Hi People, Missy here again.

You are sure swell Mister./Mrs. SCC. Our beloved mayor will hear about you promoting a parking ticket blitz.

Good news people !!! I talked to my uncle Tom Byrne (rtd) today. Wow-WoW-WoW, the commander of the 018 district heard about me being the parking ticket guru of 001 district.

The commander of 018, with Uncle Tom's consent detailed me to 018 district TODAY. I will be working the Michigan Ave foot detail, I told the very nice 018 commander I can write 800 parkers a day. This sweet man told me that all the people he has on foot on North Michigan ave are "Total Slugs" and they just eat-eat-eat & shop-shop-shop. He told me he is lucky to get 7 parkers from 10 people, or "Slugs" as he calls them on a good day.

I am so-so happy people, it is a step away from me being promoted Sgt. very-very soon !!!!

People, I was breed in Glencoe, like my lawyer husband Ira and never heard the word "Slug". What does it mean people ? I guess the commander 018 is making a funny...No !

Remember people, park right and feed the meders or I will stick a parker on you all. That is what we get paid for people. Grow up and stop playing "Cowboys & Indians".

Stay safe people,
Missy--o18 District
(The one and only parking ticket Guru)

P.S. SCC ...you are swell, if me and Ira were not married, I would hurt for you..all 160 pounds of me.

What happene at the John Hancock Center last week?

It was a magnificant display of cluelessness by the fire department that had building management later apologizing to all the corporate tenants after they announced a fire in the building but then did not get back to all the tenants to tell them to evacuate or stay in the building.

After that announcement some left the building fearing a major disaster like the WTC and others stayed around their desks. (Wrong move in my opinion.)

A fire in a residence was what happened but no one got back on the PA system to let people know it was contained or if they should evacuate.

Great job CFD. I feel a lot safer the CFD is on the job -- NOT.

Abd yes I agree with many on this BLOG - both the CPD AND the CFD are clueless and in an emergency (huge building fire or civil unrest) don't count on the CFD OR THE CPD for protection.

That is an embarassment to those of you that have always taken your jobs seriously and go to work to serve and protect. It is too bad that your ranks have swollen with incompetent clowns who are an embarassment to the uniform.

What is even more shocking are the clowns in leadership position. Well it stands to reason I guess, this was the city of Bozo'z Circus.

While it may be satire, I'm disgusted because there are assholes like "Missy" out there.

These non-police should surrender their stars and weapons and hire on as meter maids. They are a disgrace to "Chicago's Finest".

The computer on the desk is so screw that when I'm trying to do an AIRA report I have to make the time "R/O" arrived in the future.

And then the Area detective wanted me to fax them a copy of the report. I couldn't figure out how to print it.

But if it's all automated why can't I send her an email w/ the report attached?

Once an AIRA report is approved it is available to all in CHRIS.

Have a Sgt approve it and then tell the Detective to print it themselves from CHRIS. You can print it and then fax it if the detective can't figure it out.

E-mail???? Sounds good unless it's your personal info being forwarded all over the internet.
