It’s just one question on a lengthy personnel form — No. 59 on a 63-question list — but the furor over the query is a vivid reminder of the intensity of support for Second Amendment rights and signals the scrutiny Obama is likely to receive from the ever-vigilant gun lobby.
Obama’s transition team declined to go into detail on why they included the question, suggesting only that it was done to ensure potential appointees were in line with gun laws.
- Rather than just ask the traditional question about prior convictions, Team Obama wants to proactively ensure that their applicants don’t break laws. Will we see questions like this?
- Do you have children? Please list proof that you haven’t beat or molested them.
- Do you have pets? Please list proof that you have them spayed or neutered.
- Do you have alcoholic beverages in your house? Please list proof that you’re not an alcoholic.
- Do you have satellite television service? Please list proof that you don’t buy pay-per-view porno or professional wrestling.

I'm having a little problem with this question. I own a Mosin Nagant M44 that was made in the USSR back in 1947. I have no idea if it ever caused any property damage or injury. Also, my .357 was carried by a Chicago cop for 30+ years before finding its way to me. I can only imagine what it has seen.
Question number 10 is also a good one. Basically it is asking for copies of everything you every wrote on the web, in email or in blogs. You don't think he'd rat you out to an employer, do you?

Went to Mega Sport in Plainfield and picked up an AR15. They have a bunch in stock, everywhere else has at least a couple month wait (post Barry inaugural). The prices are a little high, but not ridiculous.The selection is good (SW, Colt, DPMS, Bushmaster,etc.)and ammo is in stock.
Good grief! For such an evasive person, Obama sure is nosey! :(
And the sheep will answer all the questions because it is for the greater (read Obama) good.
When they lose all their rights, the sheep will expect those of us with guns to save their sorry asses.
Some of the biggest supporters I have listened to during the election are actually a lot quieter lately, they were sure the call for "Change" was real, now with the Clintons back, it seems like change was just during the election...

Will they sell to a Chicago resident that isn't a cop? That is the question...most won't, even though our gun ban is unconstitutional, and law-abiding citizens (for the most part) buy "illegal" guns and keep them outside of the city, even if their address of residence is within the city.
The whole thing is a mess. With Osama behind Shortshanks, I can't see anything changing anytime soon.
Just wait till that Secret Service detail on Renegade's house gets a load of New Year's Eve revelry on the south side. You think they will get a bit nervous at all the gunfire sure to be heard from 51st/Greenwood?

Polititians (Democrats) are afraid that new employees will commit armed robberies. They will soon learn to take bribes instead you know like Chicago. Our Illinois, County and city government will show them the way

Megasports doesnt sell to Chicago folks with FOIDs, but other gun stores will. Just call around to find out. Make sure you have a FOID.
Otherwise, there is alot of delay right now from manufactures.

I went to Mega Sports a few years ago to get a backup .38. I found a really nice Colt Detective special.I always wanted one plus the price was right so I started filling out the paperwork. My buddy was also looking to buy and found something for himself. The guy behind the counter noticed I was a Chicago resident and I Identified myself as a police officer. He then promptly refused to sell me the gun.I didn't quite understand why so the guy said officer or not we won't sell to a Chicago resident. Ok, so my buddy says if he can't get one I'm not buying anything here either and we both left without purchasing anything. I haven't been back since. Now I understand why they refused to sell me a gun, it was about the time the mayor was sending straw purchasers to all the surrounding gun shops trying to get them to do something that looked illegal. Mega sports will never see a penny from me,even if they have changed their policy. As for the democrats, you have to be blind not to see one of their goals is the total disarming of the American people. I for one do not support disarming law abiding citizens and see any such act as treason, it will only lead to tyranny.
Has anyone ever been charged with the city failure to register actually done time? That is always a big Nolle Pros. It's actually a Quasi-criminal offense. No fines for weed smokers but don't get caught drinking in this city, a hefty fine.
Outlaws will always find a way to get guns, knives, bats, bricks, forks, whatever it takes to commit their crimes. Blame the a-hole behind the impliment.
Ar-15"s? Why? A lever action Marlin does the job at a third of the price. You can get it in 357 mag. so as the use the same ammo as your pistol.
