Rev. Jesse Jackson says he played no role and was not "an emissary" in alleged efforts to make a deal with Governor Rod Blagojevich for the appointment of his son, Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr.(D-IL) to the U.S. Senate.
Speaking publicly for the first time, Rev. Jackson said he last met with the Governor four months ago and was not the unnamed individual cited in the FBI affidavit who promised to raise up to a $1 million in exchange for the Senate seat.
But everyone involved has a lawyer. And the story people tell the media doesn't often match up with what they tell a Federal Grand Jury. Remember, you're allowed to lie to the media, and Jesse Sr. has been doing that with impunity for years, yet no one calls him on it.

You have to read between the lines when the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. speaks.

The Rev. Jackson is uasually very well verse in his statements.
The statement says that "the last time he MET with the governor was over 4 months ago" Notice he did not include in that statement, anything about phone conversations or e-mails. Also not mentioned, nothing about not speaking to or meeting with Blago's chief of staff who was also indicted.
The only thing the Rev. Jackson covered in that statement was when he met with the governor in person but nothing else.

Can someone enlighten me about the church scam going on in Chicago. Every other store front (literally) in districts like 7,6,3,4,5,11,10 are so called church's. I know all it takes is a couple bucks to get yourself certified as a reverend, pastor, etc. But how do they afford to purchase the property, maintenance, gas, electric, etc..etc.. Is the government/city handing out free money to these people? I realize they are getting away without having to pay property tax's because its a so called "church" but who is fronting the rest of the money?
Is seems that Jesse's brother and Blago both attended a Blago fundraiser last Saturday in Arlington Hts.
