The officer was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he succumbed to his wounds a short time later.
The suspect was arrested a short time later by deputies from the Harris County Sheriff's Department. He was subsequently charged with capital murder.

Some of you folks obviously don't know how notifications are made. Its doubtful the Feds even told the Super before they picked up Blago. However, once he was in custody, they would have notified the Sup, first deputy, D/C etc. The D/C or W/C would have notified Mell of a high profile arrest. Nothing sinister and nothing against the rules. Mealer wouldn't jaywalk much less make that kind of a notification without it being signed off by everyone including the janitor.
The FBI should have had the sense NOT to inform anyone in CPD or ISP until 5 minutes prior to the arrest.
Show up with someone the ISP security detail recognizes. Tell them what is about to happen. Call CPD. Then immediately call Blago and ask his dumb ass to come to the door.

There isn't a problem no matter when it was made. I don't think the FBI notifies the WC of the District when they go to make an arrest with a warrant.
If DC knew in advance and called Mell, so what, though I doubt he was given a heads up, 5 minutes if anything, enough to get some beat cars there in case. In the scheme of illegal things, that phone call is nothing. Now, if it was made long before, giving Blago enough time to run, that's another story. It likely was made as the event was happening.

just like when a relative of mine flagged down two TRU officers who were walking into dunkin donuts (104th/western) last year. this relative just informed the TRU officers that she just called 911 becuase a m/2 pulled a gun on my relative at 105th/western. TRU's response....."Ma'am, we're on citywide.' and they continued walking into dunkin donuts. great response from 022 though. FUCK TRU

Even a federal arrest warrant? Nobody had any business knowing about that in an alderman's office, especially if the alderman or former alderman is the father - in - law of the one being arrested. This is f*cking common sense, especially with the heavy "conflict of interest" going on. Whoever called had no business giving the "heads-up" on this one.
Aldermen are not the police and they shouldn't be notified on this type of police business. Case in point, (Troutman) who run with the bangers. Could you imagine if a Commander gave Troutman a "heads-up" on an arrest warrant that could had close ties to her gang-banger boyfriend? Alderman should be concerned about the ice on their streets, not that Blowjob is being arrested or anyone else is being arrested, it's none of their business. This city is nuts.
