Paychecks for working RDO on Election Night (The Beginning of the End of Days) came out the other day. Oddly my pay rate was listed at $33.97/hr for 12.75 hours. I was under the impression POs working RDO were being paid time and a half; based on a bi-weekly paycheck of 96 hours with gross pay of $2,944 equaling $30.67/hr my pay rate should have been $46.01/hr.

FYI your hourly rate is determined by taking annual salary and dividing by 2080 (52 weeks x 40 hours per week). If you worked 8.5hours on your day off that equals being paid 12.75 hours.

Jaggoff, going about 100 mph, flies west down 79th st. into 006, loses control, hits an oncoming car and a pole. Shithead is completely ejected and turned into a rag doll. Driver of other vehicle o.k., just shooken up. Sometimes justice serves itself.
This comment goes out to the TWINS- they work 1st watch in 006---- This is from everyone else on 1st watch.... STOP with the 501's and being in the station ALLLLLLLLL night. The watch is getting sick of having to take care of your beats (busiest in the district) because you two knuckleheads are jerking each other off.. Go WORK IN THE TRAFFIC UNIT. Is this your first OT check?
On the check your time (12.75) is the time you were
credited for. So you probably "worked" for 8 and some change, hence 12.75 hrs, which hourly is calculated at your pay grade divided by 2080hrs.
You also get bi-monthly checks, your paid twice a month, not twice a week(bi-weekly). You either have an issue with whoever signed your slip(not enough time) or your are a retard.

Hey partner, this isn't the place to look up or put out personal issues. Take your case first to your time keeper or the contract book. Show some spunk and do it your self. SCC has much more important issues that need attention on a global scale.
Chris Hitney’s picture and the photo shopped offerings are fun. I just will never see her is a villain for that infamous snapshot at that Midway accident.
CR numbers and apologies need to be saved for real transgressions.
Yea, it was a bonehead move for her to pose next to the aircraft like she was standing next to an attraction at Disneyland.
But look at in the context of a lesson learned for all officers and emergency personnel at accident/incident scenes.
I took hundreds of pictures while on a deployment, to include a couple that included some bodies. I didn't pose with the bodies, and I didn't take them so I could relive the experience in some perverse way.
I shot them to document my experience in a war zone, and as a reminder to anybody who may flip through my album that war isn't some video game played from a cockpit at 20,000 feet.
So yea, this Sgt fucked up and showed some insensitivity, but in a sense she did everybody who may have to work around one of those scenes a favor, in showing them what NOT to do.
Ya gotta love the Mayor Quimby sash and suit on our lil dictator, Daley.
She is clouted big time just like the girl at midway who took over and is ruining the morale so low, you could say it cannot get any lower! Maybe the sgt and lt. should both be put into a district to showcase the fine non-workmanship?

After all the security guard, under the employ of White Castles,left his car running and poor pookie, who was cold just couldn't resist a nice warm car to transport himself to his crib. If it hadn't been for that insensitive security guard, poor pookie might still be alive.
$68,262 annual salary divided by 2080 annual hours = 32.82 per hour. If you worked 8.25 hours times that by 1.5 = 12.375 times 32.82 = 406.15 or $49.23 an hour @ 8.25 hours.

I can only say this about the entire incident. There are many of us on this job that forget what is was like when you were'nt the police. If God forbid, something so tragic such as this were to befall any one of our families, how would any of us react to someone showing such disregard for our suffering by taking photographs that were'nt related to the investigation. I would be willing to bet my next paycheck that somebody would either get tuned up or arrested for something. We have to remember the badge we wear is a symbol of the trust given to us to be the police by the community we serve and when any one of us makes a mistake, we all get painted by same broad brush. It was a mistake people, or at the least, tasteless and insensitive and the non-police who come to this site and see other officers making light of her actions or downplaying what she did only makes all of our jobs that much harder. In all honesty, what punishment if any does anyone care to bet will be handed down anyway. Sorry for the long speech..
Bad enough that she had the picture taken, but the real crime was sending it out in e-mail, which spread like wild fire. I got that e-mail from 3 different people, who are not the police, and they all could not believe the poor taste by one of ours.

FYI your hourly rate is determined by taking annual salary and dividing by 2080 (52 weeks x 40 hours per week). If you worked 8.5hours on your day off that equals being paid 12.75 hours.

I was under the impression POs working RDO were being paid time and a half; based on a bi-weekly paycheck of 96 hours with gross pay of $2,944 equaling $30.67/hr my pay rate should have been $46.01/hr.

You are paid at your normal rate times 1.5 times the hours, same result. 12 hours at time and a half equals 18 hours pay.

We never received pictures of the other party. And if we had, he'd be castigated as roundly. But the pictures we did receive from THREE different individuals were all at the end of rather large "Forwarded By:" lists and each and every list backtracked to her as the originator. Hell, the one set had captions put in by someone claiming to be her father. So she made herself the object of ridicule.

We never said taking a picture was the act deserving of ridicule. HOWEVER, (1) her pics are taken inside the tape. That's a violation of General Orders. (2)Did you notice what's just beyond the sergeant's right elbow? Behind the landing gear?

Southwest Airlines is the real criminal here. Their CEO held a press conference after they were fined millions of dollars by the Federal Government for lying about inspections. The CEO said that nobody ever died aboard his airplanes. That piece of shit convieniently overlooked the little boy his airline killed. Folks, read the NTSB report on the crash. Southwest was cited for poor cockpit management, confusion and lack of proper braking procedures.
