County Layoffs Coming?

We've heard the rumors, the stories, the idle chit chat. Supposedly, the State's Attorney's Office has cut third chairs because there isn't any work for them to be doing. We also heard second-hand that Dart thanked J-Fed for solving his "overcrowding issues."

Now there's this from the comment section:
  • They have the arrest numbers since JFed was made. JFed is aware. Da mare is aware.

They have refused to release these statistics to the media.

2008 stats for FELONY arrests were a little more than half of 2005. 2009's pace is even below 2008.

The drop is so dramatic that the State's Attorney's Office could be forced to make layoffs if the County rolls back Toddler's tax increase.

Da Mare and Da JFed are scared out of their minds. They are just now realizing that they have completely loss control of the rank and file. Surveys, tickets, denied time due, denied pay increases, these are the acts of desperate men.

The law and our contract do not demand that we do anything other than show up. We aren't just winning. They finally realized, we've already won.
Someone, some reader, somewhere has access to the stats we're sure. What say the numbers?

Ace Reporter Phil Schitz says you're dead right on the Mayor and Superintendent being frightened. In a very sort time, the Mayor is going to require a very dedicated police department because all of us who read this blog know one thing: The economy is going into depression and it's going to worse than the 1930's. There's going to be civil unrest you've never seen in this country. Bigger and badder than the 1960's.

Some of the ASAs need to get laid off, completely useless.I can name a 20 judges off the bat to boot that need to go too.

They are down by at least 20% in some districts and that is mainly due to stripping the districts from their gang teams. Here is the Trick.. Some arrests are being counted over and over and over again by counting the number of officers on one single arrest... This is great . So now, you can justify stripping patrol and justify they've reason as to why a unit is still alive.

all they had to do was leave the patrolmen alone to do their job, and pay them fairly and in a timely manner.
had our "LEADERS" any business experience or ever taken a management course they would have recognised this simple fact.

No, Dart called Donahue and thanked him for us solving his overcrowding problems.

HEY STUPID ASS SA. You need work? Then tell the lazy asses in felony review to start approving charges!
In police work, we call that a CLUE!!!

County can save lots of money by getting rid of the company cars. Everybody and their distant cousin has a company car.

For the last time, this is your police force, this is your police force under J-Pud...

If you want to retract your statement about the moral and you won't have to be told to leave, go for it...

You might be able to hide behind some half assed computer survey, but you can't hide from the numbers, top quality leadership along with the double standards game...

Shortshanks walmarting of the city may even create a shot at dethroning him... this could be better then the World Series...

What gives with this SCC? Toddler is still in control. He defeated the rollback a few days ago.

If true, about the county numbers, then I expect the ASAs in Felony review to be less resistant in approving charges. Only to protect the jobs in the ASAs office.

lets see

This is great because if there is a dramatic drop in arrests then there is no need for all the political 11th ward spots in the court system, the sheriffs office, the states attorneys office, and best yet defense lawyers aren't getting the clients the used to have so they arent making an $$$. This is really fucking with Daley and his lawyer and judge buddies. Keep up the good work!!!

Daley and JPUD are finally learning not to bite the hand that feeds you.

With less cases youd think maybe the states attourneys would actually APPROVE charges where the crime fits the letter of the law. Or actually try cases instead of bargaining everything out.

Sadly neither is the case

I used to put the blinders on during the last hour of my tour.

But now they go on right after coffee and my liter of soda.

And I need 'em too, my future is so bright I need shades!

The economy won't tank - it's thinking like this that causes emotional swings in the market. That and extending credit to people who are irresponsible (thanks liberals).

Learn from your mistakes, and move on. As for crime going up..well, it will. Why shouldn't it? No one's there to stop it. Not you guys (low on numbers, no contract, hamstrung by "leadership"), not us citizens (no CCW, no handguns, Cook County Juries), and certainly not Daley (bling bling bitche$$..it's all about the Olympics).

The best we can hope for is some sort of armed insurrection where we march all these people into the streets and summarily execute them. Even THEN I'll bet the Illinois Machine cancer somehow survives - there's just no cure for it. The best place to start is the ballot box..vote out all incumbents!

Heard Judge Haberkorn is SEEING things! Put a case on a guy in 018 and when IAD went to interview her she made herself unavailable. Pressed no charges in Park Ridge!

Someone should check the 911 calls she makes as a victim or ask Park Ridge and Wilmette or wherever she used to live.....

SHE IS A KOOK!

Believes she is another Judge Lefkow..... Skokie COURT is useless!!!!
