Rumors Rumors Everywhere

We like some of these:
  • Stormy Seas and Major Changes Ahead; Hold Fast!

It appears that the Mayor will soon have another rubber stamp in the City Council. Unconfirmed reports are that Alderman Brian G. Doherty will soon be resigning his Aldermanic position and that the Mayor will choose a successor.

Mayor Richard M. Daley will lose a key African American ally soon. Alderman Isaac "Ike" S. Carothers will be federally indicted by midsummer, on public corruption charges. Once again, the Mayor will personally select an Alderman.

The Mayor is beyond frantic in his quest of attaining the 2016 Olympics. The Mayor wishes to place the 2016 Olympics as the capstone on his public service career. The Olympics provide a guarantee of a Daley Legacy for the next 100 years and a much needed distraction from the corruption and scandal that have become flagrant and blatantly obvious to the public.

The Olympics also guarantee Chicago a much needed, federal infusion of capitol for pet projects. The Olympics provide the perfect screen to distribute literally, billions of dollars worth of contracts to the chosen few and enrich select individuals and families.

Michael K. Shields will utilize his position as a trustee, on the Policemen's Annuity and Pension Fund of Chicago, to cause the Daley family greater suffering and humiliation. Michael K. Shields will be instrumental in obtaining the federal indictment of Robert G. Vanecko.

The alleged misdeeds of Jon G. Burge are also haunting, former Cook County States Attorney Richard M. Daley, twenty five years latter and will become much more pronounced in the next two years.

Underlying brewing scandals of unimagined proportion will surface after October 10,2009 and any attempt to surmount them will be futile.

Police Superintendent Jody "J.P." Weis will gracefully exit his position, for greener pastures, in November 2009 and a CPD insider will replace him. Will Alfonza Wysinger become the next Superintendent?

Mayor Richard M. Daley will, for yet undetermined reasons, opt out of running for re-election in late 2010. The Mayor will formally endorse Cook County Sheriff Tom J. Dart to succeed him.

All eyes should be on Paul G. Vallas and his triumphant return to Illinois. Will Paul run for Illinois Governor, US Senator or for Mayor of Chicago?

What high paying celebrity position will Ariel "Ari" Z. Emanuel find Milorad "Rod" R. Blagojevich? Rahm Emanuel is desperate to keep the former Governor quiet, occupied and funded; an indicted, humiliated and impoverished man can cause tremendous problems.

FOP President Mark P. Donahue will be replaced by Daniel J. Shields, you heard it all here first.
Every good rumor has a little bit of truth in it. Alderman Doherty recently sustained a nasty fall - he might be having health problems. Carothers has been mentioned as a subject/target of a number of Federal investigations - he might be gone soon. Burge, the Oylmpics, Vallas, Blago, even the pension board protests, all have a glint of factual information tied into some wishful thinking. Each of these is a plausible scenario. Discuss.

Daley will never be indicted. He'll cut a deal with the feds, (though not publicly acknowledged), to map out his evil empire. The "deal" will not require him to testify against the players.

He'll "retire" to avoid prosecution on various corruption charges.

Many other "Al Sanchez" types from Daley's regime will continue to be prosecuted and do jail time, as Patrick Fitzgerald connects the dots on Daley's crime map. Said map, however, will only mislead the investigation into the real Outfit connections.

Should Chicago 2016 become a reality, former Mayor Daley will make a smooth transition to head the Chicago 2016 Olympic effort guaranteeing him and his family continued free flights and vacation/fact finding missions all over the globe.

The Chicago Outfit will CONTINUE to run all things profitable in the city.

The immediate Daley family will never again run for or hold local political office. Shortshanks will be recognized historically as the last of the Big City Machine mayors, and an example to all of WHY term limits in politics is necessary.

I like reading the blog comments when it's some pinhead posting the only thing he/she can come up with, ie., a complaint about absolutely nothing.

This must be the author who penned the classic post proclaiming(hundreds of times) Mike McCotter to be lock for Supe. I believe he also brought us the Vice control scandal that was supposed to be uncovered two years ago. You should post your name so we can ridicule you when your bullshit is proven wrong again.

Thoughts from a citizen troller: The olympics is some sort of monument to Daley's public service? Are you kidding me? Daley has a legacy. He is the head of one of the most corrupt municipal administrations in the country. He has more FBI agents working on corruption cases in this city than in any city in the nation. So this talk about the the Olympics being some sort of grand monument to his public administration pales when you consider all measures wherein this city is a failure. Geez, I'll start it, you can add to it: 1)unchecked crime and street violence 2) a failed public school system he controls from the 5th floor. Stick a fork in it Daley, its dead and you killed it. You are simply sending kids to day prisons. The ones that go anyway. 3) He penalized and burdened industry which caused it to flee first to the suburbs, then out of the state and finally out of the country. The latter of course is not his fault but the former resulted in widespread unemployment for city residents and he is responsible for that. Now 25,000, mostly south siders line up for a Wal Mart job in EG Park. 4) Failed public housing. 5) His repeated promises to provide for the citizens of Chicago who are left at the curb with second rate city services. These are examples of his decades of public service. A fucking city in decline over the past 20 someting years and it is solely because of him and his inability to be a dynamic leader.

Why is there o much hatred toward mark Donahue?

5/01/2009 05:28:00 PM

Because the morons that make up the vast majority of this job want to invest their future, their work schedules, their employment protections, their salaries, their pensions, their jobs, their retirement, and their families with the beat guy in 018. The only guy in 018 who would go up against the few gangbangers that have lived there over the past 10 years. Northsiders love him. he was the closest thing they ever got to seeing the police in action.

But, beating up gangbangers in 018 makes someone a good policeman. It doesn't mean they should be the public face of all policemen. It certainly doesn't mean they should be defining the contract protections that cover ALL policemen.

But, their idiots, so they don't know any better.

Who is this guy from 018 and what the fuck does he have to with Donahue?

Please try and connect the dots for us not wearing tin foil on our heads.

How will Weis "gracefully exit" the CPD for greener pastures? What on earth can he possibly point out as being an "accomplishment" during his 1.3 year tenure so far? High levels of contempt at the bosses by the rank & file? Complete mistrust?
I know. "A complete and irreversible dismantlement of a major metropolitan PD at the request of the Mayor of that City."
"I hear you're doing a great job down there, Weisie!"
