Academy Break-In?
Remember the minor outcry here after it was discovered that the Academy would be hosting a number of younger lawbreakers during off hours? We're looking for confirmation on this one:
- Next week the hood rats will be at the Academy to "register" for their classes. There will be a "Security company" contracted by the city to provide one on one guidance to the little darlings. The company is called: http://www.eesforjobs.com/index.html
Funny that a private company, that gets government funding, uses public buildings for its offices. Wonder what the rent is? Wonder who is connected to this company? Wonder who the "security guards" will be?
You can be sure of one thing, they won't be off duty police officers or anyone of such high caliber. - On a second note: The Academy Range had an attempted break in over the weekend! Someone tried to pry open the lock. That's okay folks, not to worry folks, we'll just bring in some fake security officers along with 50 youth felons for some bs training because the little prick mayor wants it.

Why not just hand out the guns and ammo at the front door. How many gang bangers are in the crowd of "security guards"?

Daley, Weis, and whomever else this concerns,
Why do you all keep lying to the media about not being short on police officers patrolling our streets? Why are you not hiring more officers? Why are you denying that our officers are getting pulled from our districts- thus leaving our kids vulnerable to violence? Our officers ARE getting pulled from our districts and our quality of life is plummeting! We need our districts to be manned and Superintendent Weis- Give all of the officers the resources to do their job. When we have lots of uniform and plainclothes officers scouring for PATROL CARS and UNMARKED CARS- that’s a sad day. Provide enough cars, computers and radios! Our officers should not have to search for 30 minutes for keys or cars!! We should show them enough respect to provide these necessary tools for their job.
People, We should also be a society of Law Enforcement SUPPORTERS- just because some do wrong or act unprofessional- does not mean that we should judge them as a whole. Blanket statements or broad beliefs such as these would not be accepted if it was a minority group- so why is it widely accepted when the victims are police officers? Let's give our officers a contract and start showing our kids to respect our police officers.
The quality of life is deteriorating in the 12th District and we, the residents, need you Mr. Weis and Mayor Daley TO STOP PULLING OUR RESOURCES FROM OUR DISTRICT. It is becoming a Zoo in Pilsen. Unlike some other communities of the city, there are many hardworking individuals and law- abiding residents whom actually support our police in Pilsen and more importantly, WE STAND A CHANCE AT RIDDING OURSELVES OF THESE PETTY LITTLE GANGS THAT ARE CAUSING HAVOC ON OUR STREETS.
Stop pulling our officers from all of our districts!
To all the idiotic gangs of Pilsen... What is it that you are fighting for? To flash your gang signs and yelling your gang slogans to a bunch of mothers outside playing with their children (ages 3 months- 12 years) Pure stupidity! Yeah, real tough! We are educated Latinas- We are not going to stand by and take this quietly! You do not own the streets, the corners- nothing! You are all NOTHINGS! We shouldn't have to move because of you. We should be able to stay on the blocks that we were born on. We as mothers should not have to get shot in the back or in the head and killed- thus leaving behind our kids. Our kids should be able to play in Harrison Park or Dvorak Park- SAFELY! We should be able to take our kids for long walks or bike rides without having the fear that we are crossing into gang territories! Our sons and daughters should be able to play in front of their home without ending up dead like Ana Mateo (August 20, 2003).

Besides the overall stupidity and corruption of this idea, it's really sad that they aren't using cops to work with these kids.
There was a summer intern at the SA's office whose father was a so-called "reverend." Toward the end of the summer she told me that she grew up suspicious of cops but learned that most are regular people who cared about doing the right thing.
And therein lies the corruption with this program. If they're going to do it, who better to work with these mopes?
Just as airlines out to junk their customer service departments because they no longer provide any, maybe the city should ditch "protect and serve" because the mopes at the top don't really believe it.

I hope they bring in the same security crew that used to work Rockwell Gardens years ago. You know the ones...Ray Ray and June Bug. They'd be the jagoffs holding open the Western Avenue door at 340 South so their boys who had just smashed-and-grabbed Whitey on the way to or from the Bulls games could make good their escape quickly. Ray Ray and June Bug would have no problem slamming same door shut on the police who were steps behind the offenders, either.
It'd make for good times to see these fellas gainfully employed at the Academy.
Whose brilliant fucking idea was this one? The need to bee taken to the park in back of the Academy, and be beaten with a garden hose!

In a few weeks I will have 15yr on. About 1 1/2yrs ago, I tried to use the gym, more likely 1 part of the basketball court to get a little workout in with my daughter. This was off hours too. I have a 13yr daughter who plays AAU/travelling team basketball and plays like an 18yr old. I was told that she could only come into the gym if I got permission from the Comm. of the Academy and also the Supt. None of this makes sense. If you are a lawbreaker etc. every program in the world is set up for you. If you are law abiding it seems these idiots set up every obstacle in front of you.
The lowest of the low. No common sense. No department pride. No distinction between law/order and the reason you are needed. No nothing. They have barricaded themselves down on 35th St. and have no clue. It's sad what you guys have to put up with. Really sad.

eesforjobs is "Employment & Employers Services, Inc." and does not appear to be a licensed "security company"! They can be charged criminally and civily for operating as such if they are providing security, advertising doing so, etc. See State of IL. IDFPR-Dept. Prof. Regulation.
Has the range been opened up for practice? Was closed a month or so ago when I went there.

I know how you feel. I'll have 15 years on in 14 years. I tried to bring my 68-year-old grandma to the academy range for some skeet shooting and was told no dice, "sworn CPD only." Then the idiot in charge said to me "If you accidently get hit in the head by a clay pigeon, who cares. But if she does the city's liable." What a crock.

REALLY? I see officers and their children shooting hoops at the Academy all the time after hours.

Lets watch the staff train them all in police tactics, probably lead to more dis-armings of police officers. Guess the goofs on west Jackson need to look busy, out of fear of being surplused out of their spots.

I grew up in the area in the
1960'. The Mexican people there, are good people who love all and for the few who do the killing & banging, Watch out for the mothers of Pilsen. They will put your asses down.
I still visit St. Adalbert church often and the Mexican people there would give you their last piece of breed.
I am not Mexican and no longer live in the area, but going back to Pilsen brings back fond memories growing up in a neighborhood where mothers , wheather Mexican, Polish, or whatever took care of business when it came to the kids playing and messing around in the area.
Your mother knew what you did wrong in record speed. Because the hard working people of Pilsen cared.

Man I totally agree with this. Can't find programs/jobs for the white kids in my neighborhood, but no problem for the IR#'s. So how is this not racism against whites? My taxes are paying for these programs, but the kids in my neighborhood don't qualify?

Contact Investigator Rich Cauble at the IDPR Chicago Office at 1 312 814 4547. Additionally, if this "company" has employees acting as Security Officers, they must,by law(Private Detective Act) be in possession of a PERC(Blue) card. If not, the INDIVIDUAL can be charged with operating an unlicensed business.(MCC) Food for thought. Hope this helps. Cauble was of GREAT assistance in helping me charge one of the guards at Lathrop Homes with the civilian version of Official Misconduct. He is a very aggressive investigator that gets results.
To 5:09, I wrote the original post about trying to get into the gym. I am an m/1 and so is my daughter. The person that was onduty at the desk both times was an f/1. I am not sure if it is Dept. policy about not using the gym with family but I got disgusted and never went back. I could see if it was using the weight room or treadmills because of liability but this was plain stupid. How long would it take to get a reply from the Comm. of The Academy then The Supt. It's just insane. Anyway, make sure you secure all your properties when you are at the Academy now.
Shouldn't there be a CAMERA fixed on the doors to the range, that the desk officer could monitor?
If they don't have it, maybe you could, like, GET THAT DONE, RUTH?

1). The cameras at the Academy DO NOT record anything, they are live feeds only.
2). The officer that sits at the desk has other duties beside watching cameras.
If the officer has to address a person that approaches the desk, then the officers eyes would be diverted from the cameras.
3). The outer doors to the range are locked. The inner doors inside the range area are locked. The range is in the basement of the building. How much more secure can it get?
