Election Night CR Number
We've gotten a couple of e-mails and posted a couple of comments about a Department-wide Complaint Register investigation being initiated in regard to OC discharges on election night.
The media refused to cover most of the mayhem that night, concentrating on the celebrations in Grant Park while ignoring the assaults, batteries and mini-riots exploding all over the south and west sides.
If you were able to hear the tapes from that evening, it's amazing no one got killed or badly injured. We can only compare it to the Bulls "celebrations" of the 1990's and we remember how those CR numbers were handled in the weeks following the riots. This appears to be another witch-hunt instigated by J-Fed and his cronies at the behest of Shortshanks. Why else start taking statements nine months after the fact? Oh yeah, contract arbitration. We forgot.

It was a war zone in 007 and 008, constant rapid firing guns as well as semi-autos. Opens your eyes to what is out there, looting was abundent and they were smashing ATM machines left and right. None of it made the paper or news. It is amazing how corrupt and one sided the media is here. It's no wonder the suntimes is bankrupt, most regular people see through there bullshit.

Lenneth Suggs said he was wearing an Obama T-shirt when officers yelled "[expletive] Obama" as they sprayed him. Horowitz said police used a Taser on another plaintiff, Jose McKnight, and that an officer took McKnight's cell phone and broke it when he tried to record what was happening.

But most "regular" people arnt exposed to the shit we see on a day to day basis. And if the liberal and usless media wont publish it, to most "regular" people, it dosent happen, because they dont see it.
A few weeks after the election, we were breaking up a bar fight at one of our local establishments. As we put one particularly drunk and unruly MEXICAN to the ground, he kept yelling "Obama 08!" We got a good laugh at that, he seemed to think the name was some sort of talisman to protect him from arrest.
It was a peacefull night. what are you guys talking about. There was nothing on tv, you must be making this up.

This is another example of the Department failing to plan for this "surprise" event (Election night). It should of been treated like the Bulls riots. Either way it was to turn out, it was gonna get stupid. There should be no surprise these idiots were going to get sprayed at the least. With all the shooting, I'm surprised there wasnt a higher body count. This whole investigation should be tossed out and the complainants arrested for child endangerment! Bringing your kids out into a violent situation as that, only a City like Chicago would give them tax payers money!
I literally argued with a friend of mine who is related to Orozco but lives in Texas about the mayhem that night. He didn't believe me when I told him about the gun shots and riots on the south side, where I was, and the coppers on the radio asking for help for the crowds. He told me that, get this, "My uncle, Ray Orozco, is head of security for the City of Chicago and he told me there were no problems at all that night. That all the stories of riots were false or else THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE NEWS." I politly schooled him about the integrity of the Chicago news media along with who Orozco is to us (nothing) and that he was safe in his trailer downtown while the city went up on the south and west sides. This is what the inflated egos that run this department tell people who have no other way of knowing. Needless to say the argument became heated and I haven't talked to him since. He chose to believe the man behind the curtain rather than the eyes in the field. They have people brainwashed to their bullshit. I am still waiting for this sinking ship to hit the bottom.

Unfortunately, those that dont work the ghetto just don't understand that.
Reminds me of the mother a few years ago on the west side with the 9 kids that DCFS took because the place was a mess and no food in the fridge. I kept thinking, what would the system do with all the kids from the west side if they checked everyone's house? Her's was probably no different than 8/10 you walk into today.
An Obituary... Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, 'Common Sense', who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:

Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.
He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;

On 08 May 2008, a Federal civil rights law suit was filed on behalf of Lenneth Suggs vs. 2 named Chicago POs and other anonymous POs. Does anyone know what has happened with that case? Does the brass know or care that this guy made a career of suing cops?
