Meeting Confrontation
Another school of thought:
- If you go onto the 12th ward website he offers a meeting with him to address concerns on mondays from 3pm to 6pm. I say we (hopefully a few hundred or so) of us should show up there and ask him in front of his constituents about his discretionary fund and his 6% pay raise. It is about time we put them on the hot seat and open the publics eyes on their pay and how it is distributed. I just called his office and spoke with one of his flunkies that said he would be available to meet. I am serious SCC make a post about this. We need to start putting pressure on this goof and it needs to be done now while it is still fresh and doesn't fade away.

We're sure there are coppers among his constituents. Those calls would carry the most weight. A few dozen calls might have an impact. A few hundred calls and he might cancel the next meeting.

I'm curious if his constituents would be happy with less police presence? he is a ghetto alderman, so his gang banging shithead constituents would be happy, and his working family stuck in the ghetto constituents wouldn't. But he will cater to the majority of constituents. GANGBANGERS CONDUCTING ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES. He is probably paid off by the thugs! This is morally and reprehensibly wrong!
Alderman Burke should surrender his bodyguard/drivers and city owned vehicle. Then he might be part of the solution and not part of the problem.
Now thats a great idea,we need to do that with all 50? Do they all meet with people,or like in the case of burke they "screen callers'! The 23rd guy wants you to see "your" precinct captain for a meeting! What bullshit!
Though I appreciate all you have done and continue to do SCC, this is the kind of stuff Mark Dontdofuck should be doing and that just PISSES ME OFF!!
Cardenas was cited by the ethics committee for paying himself rent for that office. Did that get resolved?
