Shooting Last Night
Chicago Police shot a man who allegedly pointed a gun at officers early Wednesday in the Southwest Side’s Lawndale community.
Uniformed Ogden District police officers and units from the Mobile Strike Task Force responded about 1:30 a.m. to a report of shots fired near the 2100 block of South Homan Avenue and saw a vehicle speeding away from the area, police said.
Officers stopped the vehicle in the 1900 block of South Trumbull Avenue. As they approached the vehicle, a 23-year-old man inside allegedly pointed a gun at the officers, who shot the man, police said.

Perfect example of one day needing an upstanding citizens help. The way Daley is draining the dept, that day could come sooner than we think. By the grace of GOD the officer is OK. Praise the lord and the CPD.

Where are the new detective classes as promised??? The old timers are worn out handling all these police shootings. Time for the new regime to learn their trade before we all retire. They've already got an area full of the blind leading the blind. It's called AREA THREE DETECTIVE DIVISION. Let's promote before there's no one left.

Marquette 11? When did the 11th guy go down? Another serious incident that happened right around the station. Be careful out there kids, these savages got big balls.
The electrical box near my locker on the second floor at Marquette was labled Robey Street (don't know when they changed the name to Damen Ave).
Chicago has decided to buy the Saturn inventory of cars. These will be converted into police and fire dept. vehicles. All bosses will be using Saturn ION cars.

This fucker got struck four times from what I understand. Once center mass an inch or so from his heart, two into his lower right arm, and one into his left arm. Great shooting officers! These fuckers just have nine lives. Fuck with the bull and you will get the horns. Great Job CPD BE SAFE
Haven't heard that in a while "Fuck with the bull and you will get the horns," but damn right. Not sure how many officer's shot but if you hit the perp 4 times then fantatic job officer or officer's. This is a perfect example of hitting your target. A lot of recent police shootings have included officers shooting at an armed individual and missing their targets. Though the scumbag in this shooting survived the officers did a remarkable job of hitting their intended target. I’m not a police officer but my father is. I cannot put myself in your shoes but I respect you and support you guys. Love you guys please stay safe

Mobile strike force and 10th district POs great job on this shooting. Great in the sense that all officers involved made it home to their families that night, offender got struck numerous times (chest area...great shot), and weapon was recovered on scene. Nowhere else I would rather work then good ol 10. MSF you guys are welcome to our house any day of the week. To all who read this remember that we all have the same goal: make it home safely to our families don’t forget that and please please please be safe. God’s Speed.
