A 14-year-old boy was beaten and critically injured tonight in the city's Edgewater neighborhood, police said.
The unidentified victim was listed in critical condition at Children's Memorial Hospital undergoing surgery, police said.
A witness told police they saw the victim being chased by three males about at 7:45 p.m. on the 6300 block of North Paulina Street, [...].
After the three assailants caught up with the victim, all three beat him, and one reportedly struck him over the head using an unknown "shiny" object, [...].
The boy was rushed to the hospital to be treated for massive head injuries.
The beatings will continue until....when?

Went to 26 and cal yesterday on a case,looked at all the media trucks outside,found a big piece of wood by the garage walked past the trucks funny to watch all the goofs "is that the tie from a fight", i answered honestly maybe how the fuck should i know, then i laughed and threw it in a nearby garbage can continued on my way1

The entire North and Northwest side of Chicago is turning into shit. I drove past Wright College and in a side street near the Six Penny Bar I saw two M-4 in their twenties dressed in Spanish Cobra colors.

Was at a CAPS meeting where a woman, who openly acknowlegded one of her sons is "no Angel" but didn't deserve to have his hair pulled form his scalp by 4 or 5 Officers responding to her phone call of shots fired on her block.
I am a civilian. But I know one thing, if a citizen makes a call to 911 for "Shots Fired" and I happen to be on the block where they respond, I full expect to find myself face down and getting treated as a suspect...you guys have no idea who I am because we've never met. I know, that when you're done going through me, you'll find I'm a GOOD GUY, a hardworking, tax-paying law abiding citizen who expects his police officers to perform their duty. PERIOD. I'll understand. ESPECIALLY if I am NOT AN ANGEL.

She offered to call the lady and assist her in following up with that.
