Shortshanks is all about smoke and mirrors... like the M-4 training to prove to the Olympic Committee that our dept. is ready for anything the bad guys can throw our way. However, how many have completed the part A or B follow-up training per General Orders? That's hard to do when the ranges have been down for repair for over 6 months. So now, most of us are no longer qualified to even touch the M-4. It won't matter anyway, because when the Olympics go to any of the other 3 cities, Shortshanks will have ALL of the M-4's pulled and returned to the Feds or where ever they were on loan from. Chicago is doomed.

That would be too good! Almost as good would be Madrid or Tokyo announced before shortshanks has the big one.
Let's suppose there are as many as a hundred signed up to take the 55 and out retirement package and that number obviously is short of the declared minimum of 160.
Let's go out on a limb and figure the City then says, tough luck old boys and girls, you didn't reach the minimum magic number so you cannot retire with health benefits paid. Now get back to work and go make arrests and write tickets and you better like it or you will get a bad evaluation.

COPENHAGEN -- Could Chicago's bid for the 2016 Summer Games be hurt by Mayor Richard M. Daley's comments about the competition with Rio de Janeiro?
Daley's comments last week about Rio's capabilities to host both the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics are being taken by Rio as critical of Chicago's presumed main rival in Friday's International Olympic Committee vote for the 2016 Games.
What Daley said about Tokyo and Madrid also could be viewed as critical of those two other finalists, since he minimized their chances based on geographical factors.
The IOC prohibits bid cities from criticizing their rivals.
Today on FOX NEWS CABLE (tuesday night) Hannity leads off with Chicago Beating of Honor Student (yes they said that a lot)
