Stick a Fork in Them
- The Bears' second pathetic performance in three weeks left us knowing exactly who they are -- and it's not who we thought they were.
The Bears are a team that is capable of being mopped around the field by a slightly above-average team. They are a team that is not close to consistent. They are a team that has not hit its stride and may never. They are a team that is sitting on the side of the road watching chances fly by like cars on an expressway.
8-and-8 seems like a distant possibility, but our wallet will remain closed should we be in Vegas this week.
Our take? They're a team without a heart or a soul. There is no "go-to" guy or character who can rally or inspire, including the coaches. And you can't even call it a "re-building" year - this is it. Re-building won't happen for another season or two.

get rid of that useless, emotionless, over-rated, hack so called coach lovie smith. get rid of angelo too. bring in some coaches that have passion and want to win.
To a right thinking owner, it would well be past time to review team management's contracts. The Tampa 2 never worked here, Lovie took over play calling and is doing so well, and the general manager has managed to leave us with no round one and two picks next year, not that his picks have ever turned out anyway.
lovie must have gone to the mayor daley school of management.
Poor evaluation of talent...
Make that VERY POOR evaluation of talent.
It's the NFL. The highest level on the planet for football talent. You CANNOT slide by with a roster full of average talented receivers, EVEN WITH an above average quarterback.
No wonder Kurt Warner had that team in the Super Bowl in January... EVERY receiver on their roster is better than the Bears # 1 receiver.
They allowed every free agent receiver in the off-season to be signed elsewhere without a serious attempt to get any of them. We're happy with our receivers, they said.
Even now, they could probably get certain Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison, for the rest of this season anyway, but they are too cheap!
An aging offensive line can't do it anymore. Pace is a has-been; Kruetz is starting to seem average; Forte is good but, at least for now, he's no Cedric Benson. Then again, how do you run the ball without blockers?
Defensively, when they lost Mike Brown, they never found a replacement with his talent.
Urlacher, playing hurt for the last couple of seasons and out for this season has age and diminishing talent in his future.
Tommy Harris seems to be done.
Hillenmeyer who has been a great find for the Bears after the Packers tossed him away, is also aging and injured.
Briggs can't do it alone.
The defensive line that was awesome in their Super Bowl year are now about average.

Barring injury, Cutler, Forte, Hester, Olsen and maybe Briggs are the future studs on this team. Most of the rest are average NFL caliber talent, at best. And that will not cut it in the NFL. And how do you get better without draft choices or a super talent evaluator. The Bears are a 6-10 team, 7-9 at best for this year, and probably 2 to 3 years away from a playoff appearance.
Bring on the Blackhawks!
What do the Chicago Bears and a porn actress have in common??They both suck...
Is the Sgt from the plane crash in that photo?
A picture's worth a thousand words. Good one, SCC : )
WOW,THEY SOUND LIKE THE CHICAGO POLICE DEPT.
"including the coaches"
It should read, especially the coaches.
GIVE LOVIE HIS WALKING PAPERS. HE SUCKS AS A HEAD COACH!

Ain't gonna happen, so says Obama!
THEY ARE OLD!
Besides the Train Wreck
An OLD TIME CHICAGO COP
I had not seen the Police Memorial until Sunday Going to the game I wanted to see it I knew John Knight and wanted to pay respect to him and the other fallen Police officers. We walked around the bricks noticed the checker pattern in the fence and though a fitting Honor then walked about fifty to a hundred feet and there were some Army soldiers playing a football game so we sat on a bench and were watching and cracked a beer.
With no disrespect to the memorial we were sitting there talking and a White shirt came walking and we said it was unusual to see a White shirt walking and we even commented on the pieces of shit who deface it and as he walked up he stopped looked at us and in true Chicago Police Form said let’s see some id’s I wanna know your name before you go to jail We said what’s going on and he said you have the ball’s to disrespect the Police memorial and we both responded by saying we would never we had just paid respect and we were sitting on the bench and he gave us a look and said take a walk. And we did but dam near ran as we sat at the picnic table looking at the main terminal of migs we both stated talking about the flashbacks of being on the corner drinking under age and the REAL CHICAGO POLICE would roll up and even give you a crack. Thank you commander who ever you are OUTSTANDING and believe me from both of us we would never disrespect the POLICE never have and never will even at 49
The love boy needs to go
i feel sorry for the people who paid a couple of hundred bucks to watch a high school football game... what the hell happened to the bears, where is the leadership... at least we have the blackhawks to look forward to before the cubs/sox circus starts up again......
They're a team without a heart or a soul. There is no "go-to" guy or character who can rally or inspire...
In other words they're like the FOP.
Make Alex Brown captain, he seems to be the only one who gives a shit.

How true! "manpower is fine. We have plenty of talent. Our receivers have been re-deployed. um... our coaches are all in uniform all the time... um... detroit is worse!" lol... J-fed "lovie" weiss...
Lovie isn't going anywhere, the McCaskey's would never eat the rest of his contract.
Poor D, an offensive line that has probably aged out, with the exception of Kruetz, and no fire in the belly.
It's a distinct possibility this team might not win another game all year.
Fuck the Bears!
Get those fucking bags out Bear fans, or become Packer fans!
THEY AREN'T WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!!!
I've been dogging that hump Lovie since the the 2007 Superbowl debacle. Besides what kind of sick parents name their son Lovie, and what kind of chump refuses to change that name once they turn a legal age to do so. I always get the feeling he's listening to elevator music on the headset any way.
LOVIE....HAHAHAHAHAHAHA..WAT A JOKE
At least we know he has a future in the undertaker business when his contract runs out..
He could put porn stars on a live set to sleep while in the act...
i ve seen more passion/emotion by underpaid fastfood employees. rumor has it a skunk passed by soldier s field sunday and said '' you guys really stink''.
Lovie does nothing but stare off into space every time the camera is on him! I am the only one who thinks he's HIGH? I miss Ditka throwing clipboards and play cards all over and berating his players! Football just ain't the same anymore! 9-7 or 8-8! As long as they sell out every game nothing will change!
Lovie, Ozzie and Lou Pinata! What a trio! playing for second place all the time! Sports fans in Chicago just don't give a s---!

I'D RATHER DIE!
LETS GO BLACKHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Angelo must go!!! He is the prime reason that the Bears stink and he has doomed the team for the next couple of years at The Draft. Following closely on Angelo's coat tails should be Coach Smith.
We have the most porous Offensive Line I have seen in Chicago in decades. The Defensive Unit layed down and died on Sunday. Special Teams aren't much better. It's just sad. Look at the job that our erstwhile QB is doing in Denver? For cryin' out loud!!! It seems that the Ex-Cub Factor has infected The Bears.
That's just this woman's opinion.
